Very patronising I haven’t even had my first interview and they cancelled 2 interview sessions with me. I missed one call and they said we were waiting for you what where you doing? They didn't even apologise. They respond by stating they have a lot of intrest so i should call back asap. I am not under their employment and they are already behaving like this? . Not the type of behaviour i expect from a recruiter.

Poor Company To Work For

Around 2022 September/October, I applied for this job as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. I have always wanted to do recruitment, many of my family members are in recruitment and I have good knowledge of the job role.

G2 Recruitment reached out after I applied and I had a brief call with standard interview questions. The woman that called me was extremely nice and friendly. However, I soon found out that she was just a recruitment consultant. Now working for a really well established recruitment agency, this is really poor. A recruitment consultant should not be interviewing for the same role as her, this should be someone in the management team.

I did get a face to face interview… well, I call it that. It was slave labour. I went in and had an in depth chat with the manager. He was quite passive aggressive and came across like I was wasting his time. He was rushing my questions and made me feel intimidated. I have always been told I perform extremely well in interviews. I always believe I can hold myself well; even though this Manager tried to put me under pressure, I still believe I smashed it.

Our conversation lasted around an hour and a half. Just the standard questions, however I found a couple of his questions weird. He told me that the agency produces a lot of commission and what I would do with that money. I felt if that was very personal. However, I told him that I have always wanted to buy a house young and would like to save up for a deposit on a nice house and create a family. He then pushed for what deposit I would give, would I not get a car first etc. I just found him very strange.

After that he then took me to the main office and sat me down at one of the spare computers. He made me go through a list of previous clients they had used in their agency and call them all to reoffer services. Bear in mind I have never done recruitment work before. And he kind of left me on my own. He listened to 3 calls and gave me feedback and then left me for 2 hours calling through this list, in front of a full office.

He then told me to go on my lunch for 30 minutes. I thought this was an interview. Not a trial shift.

I came back after lunch and he invited me back into his office and just was talking about the company in depth. It was all just his ego talking, telling me about how far he has come in life.

I finished around 2:30 bare in mind I was there at 9AM. As soon as I got home he told me I did not get the job due to me not being money oriented. He wanted me to buy expensive watches and clothes with my money as the first thing he bought with his commission was a Rolex. I was disgusted by this. I asked if there was any other reason and he just said that was the only issue.

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS GREEDY COMPANY

Frustrating company to work with

I've had a frustrating experience with G2. While our cooperation began well, things have taken a turn for the worse. They consistently fail to pay my invoices on time and have issues with their administration, including missing timesheets. What's even more frustrating is that they don't proactively address these mistakes; they only respond when I send reminders about unpaid invoices. This has been a highly disappointing experience.

i think this company is a scam…

i think this company and its employees are scam.
send email with jobs not real (no real client) and if they ever call they will just try to collect information as much as they can from the job seekers (about their managers, some contacts...etc)
better to block them and never answer their calls/requests

Just SPAM

I received multiple emails about wildly irrelevant positions from this company. Never something I could actually do.
I asked them to delete my data and stop contacting me. If they do again, further action will be taken.

I think this company is a Scam

I think this company is a Scam. They have been bombarding me about vacancies that they think I am suitable for. But when I replied that I am interested in the position. No communication again The next thing is another email to say that there is a job I am suitable for. They are coming across as a Scam company. Too many emails, when I responded or call they don't seems to know what they have sent out to I don't think there is any real job that exist. I am assuming they are using the Platform for training. I have asked them to remove my name from there database which they have not done . I am frustrated with them

Just Mailbomb Irrelevant Jobs

Bombard you with totally irrelevant jobs, as though they've not read your CV at all. Even unsubscribing, they still email. I wouldn't give this outfit the time of day, as a candidate nor as a recruiter, as they come across as totally amateur. A totally impersonal service and their recruitment agents are clearly just clambering for commission.
My advice is to go for a smaller, specialist recruitment company.

0 stars if it was an option

0 stars if it was an option. I have been in contact with this company for 3 months now. I have been called by at least 20 different people in this company. (Some of which sounded like they were hungover or still drunk from a night out). They all have asked me the same set of lengthy questions every time clearly from a script. It is exhausting.
They also send out emails saying that you are a great match for a role and when you reply with your CV and say that you are interested, they ghost you and then say the position has now been filled. They have never put me forward for any interviews or jobs even though they keep telling me my skills/ my experience are niche and are in high demand. To top it off at the end of the conversation, they then will ask you if you know anyone else that is looking for work ( pretty annoying when you are the one who is unemployed and trying to find work). They are just gathering information, not actually trying to help you find a job. Don’t bother!

incredibly annoying company

incredibly annoying company. Once they have your contact details, they don't stop calling, emailing etc.. On all channels. High score is currently 6 calls in a row. Even if they are blocked everywhere, they try anonymous calls, try to be put through via the operator, etc. Requests to stop doing this are ignored. It's a nasty pusher crew. Because of the way they do business, this dubious company will never get any orders.

G2 is exactly what I call a professional agency!

I am freelancer since 1996 and had many opportunities by many recruiting companies. Most of them worked for me, somehow. Some of them did not and it was painful.
G2 is exactly what I call a professional agency! Everything worked out fine for me, process, payment, absolutely marvelous communication and contact (thanks Mo‘ for the good talk we had and the 100% satisfying service), good team.
I would reach out to G2 any time again!
Recommendation!

Scammers watch out!

Constantly employees of this company bother me with inquiries about open positions. How they get the companies phone number is unclear. They always say they were directed from the switchboard we don't have. This company is one big scam!

Useless and unprofessional

Useless and unprofessional. They bombard you with irrelevant jobs, most of which seem made up with extremely vague terms and no responses upon enquiry. The branches don't communicate with each other, nobody seems to have learnt the art of taking notes after a call, and most of all they are rude! The recruiters have no industry expertise and become rude very quickly when challenged in any way. They ask the same introductory questions (what do you do, what rate are you on, what job do you want) whenever they call, which is every couple of days, sometimes after 7pm or on a Sunday!

Half the emails I get from G2 have massive spelling and grammar issues - these are the people you are supposed to be trusting to review your CV and market you to clients... I would honestly rather be unemployed than ever deal with G2 again. In my experience speaking to clients who deal with them, the same seems to be the case on their side.

I have always been of the opinion that it is worth registering with as many agencies as possible, in order to gain the widest possible market view. G2 is the exception. Don't bother, don't contact them, don't accept their linkedin requests and don't trust them with your data.

There are dozens of other agencies out there. There is never a reason to go with G2. If you get offered an actual job from them, get the details and go to their competitors for it instead. Charlatans in cheap shiny suits.

They won't pay you.

They won't pay you.
When you give notice and work say two weeks on notice you won't get paid. I was expecting payment for one of the weeks I worked while on notice and have not been paid. If you need to work with this G2 best to not give notice, make an excuse to say you are sick so they pay you because all you have is the ability to withdraw your labour but, if they know you are leaving they won't pay you.
I have email evidence that notice was given, followed by a weeks worked period of which 1 week pay and a day not been paid.

Hi William,

We did not receive your notice.

Alongside this, you did not inform our client that you would not be attending site for the past two weeks.

After numerous calls, texts and emails from both our Consultant and our Client that were ignored, we have had no option but to send termination of your contract.

As you would be fully aware, there is a legal obligation to serve notice once your contract is signed.

Any issues or questions, please get in touch with your consultant who has not been able to get in contact.

Thank you
