Want to return for refund then told of 15% fee
Want to return for refund then told of 15%fee off refund, no advice of this on refund policy. They advertise no hassle no questions asked refund but do not honour it in my experience. 15/7/25 still no refund given even though they have agreed full £57 refund. Totally cannot be trusted.
Buyer BEWARE!! - NOT a reputable company
Well where to start. First and foremost, don't buy anything from this company as they don't fulfill their obligations. We paid for 2 sets of hearing aids and only received 1. Then when we tried to make contact, they didn't answer. Also, the 1 set I did receive were of very poor quality and I wish I had never bought them in the first place.
Hearing Aids are not Fit for Purpose
My experience is similar. First the company tried to tell me had ordered only device for right ear. After a request for refund they agreed to supply both aids and charging device. The hearing aid is simply an amplifier. I am a normal size guy at 1.75 m tall and 78 kg. The device must be inserted fully into the ear canal and for me it gives both pain and severe discomfort. The device squeals and howls that can be heard 10 feet away by others. Only when shoved fully into the ear canal does the squealing stop. The sound quality I heard was terrible reminding me of early 3 transistor radios.... thin and scratchy. These aids are HUGE compared to normal hearing aids and complete junk.... crap. The company refuses to provide a full refund citing a 15% restocking charge. DO NOT BUY /from Gafaan doing business as ClarityPro. This is a dishonest company with rubbiish products and should be avoided at all cost
Beware, what seems too good often is.
When I ordered from one of their several apparently unconnected Facebook pages, written in a very similar vein , it was £10 cheaper than the other sites at £57.
As soon as I ordered, I was told I had ordered one aid and was asked to buy the other aid and charger pod. I did click on the buy to obtain a sales number, and then asked why I had been charged £110 for a £57 deal. The response was fast, admitting a mistake had been made, and I was refunded the difference within 72 hours. The goods arrived over 2 weeks after ordering, and to be honest, took a great deal of trial and error with the various shields to find a non howling fit. Because of this, I only recharged them 4 times. Having arrived on 15th April, I plugged them in with the charge pod on 30th May, to find the pod was dead. It is essential as it has to recharge the earpieces, which are useless without it. I wrote to Ruby at Gafaan, who was my contact ( Ruby may be several people). The response was along the lines of oh dear how sad never mind, buy another one.
Far from the 2 year warranty in the blurb, only a 30 day warranty was mentioned, and that is the line Gafaan has stuck to.
I can only say the whole thing was a bad experience for me in my 70's. It feels to me like they take advantage of people, call that what you will.
CLARITYPRO hearing aids
CLARITYPRO hearing aids are advertised as a KIT at a special price of £57. It's not a kit it's just ONE hearing aid and within seconds of sending the advertised £57 a further £29 is taken for a second aid and then another £19 is taken for the charger. So the actual price of a KIT is £105. If found not to be suitable a full refund is offered with 'no hassle' but what isn't said is that the aids must be unused and that a 15% handling charge would be deducted from any refund. How does one know if the aids are suitable without trying them? The website chat bot and contact message form are useless and there is no phone number to contact the company. The advertised price and terms are misleading. It took much perseverance, patience and a great deal of hassle for me to cancel my order before it was despatched but, to the company's credit, I did finally obtain a full refund.
