If you are reading this just make an appointment
Honestly there is absolutely no chance you will feel disappointed if you choose to come here.
After several years of moving around and struggling to get in with an NHS dentist, and having had previous bad experiences which left me not very keen on dentists, I finally decided to bite the bullet and book in with a private practice.
After a near 10 year dentistry dry spell I called up Gartside and got booked in for the next week. I honestly could not believe that I was able to be seen so quickly. I was booked in with Raghda as my hygienist and the price for my appointment was explained over the phone. £75 for a hygienist appointment. I didn't know what I was so worried about, a haircut in Manchester will run you about that much! I sat with Raghda, explained my history and she could not have been nicer. She set to work and before the appointment was over we were laughing and joking together. Now one thing to point out here is that I was never blindsided by cost, there was a point where Raghda wanted to use an additional treatment so she stopped mid appointment, explained the treatment and the cost, verified whether I would be interested, and issued the extra treatment there and then.
A few cavities noted and I got booked in with the dentist Nilesh. £65 for the dentist, bloody bargain since that is exactly what my haircut costs. Nilesh greeted me warmly and listened to everything I had to say, did his inspections, and laid out a plan of treatment complete with costs.
I ended up getting 2 wisdom teeth extracted and an inlay placed. So trust me now when I say I know this team well. There is not a single soul at Gartside Street Dental Lounge who is not an absolute joy, every single member of staff is someone who makes you feel seen and understood. I can honestly say that I have a friendship level rapport with both my dentist and hygienist. I've already said that Raghda and I joke about like old friends, and I can tell you that Nilesh is an absolute ray of sunshine. Every time I see Nilesh he makes me feel like he is genuinely happy and excited to see me, it started with things like "How are you young man?" delivered in a very happy and excited manner but since getting both wisdom teeth taken out in a single sitting (at my request) I have now been upgraded from young man to "hero" and it honestly fills my soul with happiness every single time. He never misses an opportunity to tell the dental assistant about the time I got 2 wisdom teeth out at once and I could not love that more.
Nil is the most competent dentist I have ever sat for. He is sweet and gentle, and you can not even feel the needle when it's time for your anesthetic.
If you are in debate as to whether to ditch the NHS dentist and join Gartside, please just go in for a talk. It is more expensive but they have a multitude of payment options which you can see on their website, and they genuinely care about you as an individual. On the NHS I had to have an extraction but ended up waiting so long (9 months) that I had to get two teeth removed and paid twice. At Gartisde I've been with them around 3 months now and have 2 teeth removed and an inlay placed, and the aftercare is just second to none. Yes, it was twice the price of the NHS but I got seen quickly, got treated with care and respect, and my dental issues have been resolved to a high standard such that I'm not going to need anything else doing - so needed half the work doing.
Absolutely top notch service, you could not do yourself a bigger favor by coming here.
