I was one of the unlucky supporters of this AI software, which was supposed to be lifetime access but the unreachable developer(s) tried to make me upgrade my unlimited usage. How does that work?

The contact emails don't work anymore and neither does the contact page or the button to access the contact page. The upgrade button is still active, along with the pop-up to confirm. Really funny, but sadly this is another reason why indie faces challenges it's hard to determine who's trustworthy and who would rather take a business that works for their benefit and crap on their supporters by scamming them. Did the site work? Yes for a limited time, but then they pulled the rug from under me by making everything unusable unless you upgrade (my account is unlimited lifetime access so I can't spend upgrade to generate, but maybe they did that to stop us from using lifetime access). Don't buy, and if you come across a third-party site promoting it, like Instagram Ads, report it.

They didn't even have the decency to apologize to us.

Absolute scam! Bought last year. They never responded!

I never got the chance to use it and when I log in just today the site is not dead.

I havebeen trying to contact customer service about the issue, and they've never responded. I have been waiting for my credits to reset since December 3rd, 2022 and have yet to see any resolution. I do not recommend using Gary AI, as you can get the same results using Chat GPT without the hassle and frustration.

This is a scam. I have no idea how they decided I wanted to pay hundreds of USD for a full year after signing on for what was the same thing for a very small fraction of the full year cost. But they did and when I disputed it with them I got ZERO response. I sent in a claim to my credit card company but their bots have figured out how to respond to bank investigators. I suppose that's why they are getting a 1 from me.

Total Scam

Signed up for lifetime full access and was put on a trial account. No way to cancel your trial period without "speaking to sales staff".

They took our money again for a year subscription after the "trial" had ended even though we had full lifetime access.

They best thing you can do is contact your bank and dispute the transaction. We managed to get the lions share of our money back.

They will ignore you or ask you to fill in a survey to cancel. This survey asked for your personal info (probably going to sell that off too on the black market) last I checked I didn't have to fill out a form to cancel from a subscription service.

Cancelled subscription within trial period. Yet to receive a refund.

Bad customer service. Have been waiting weeks for a refund and so far they have told me the same as every other review on here. Disappointing because I’ve been charged $500 (AUD) for a service that I didn’t want to continue the subscription for and it charged me anyway. Have been trying to follow up for weeks. They don’t reply and they have not refunded me. I am now escalating to SCAMWATCH and reporting to the authorities.

Scammers, they'll tell you you'll get lifetime access, but the reality is they give you lifetime access with only 200 credit. when the 200 finish just close that account 🙌

Close to 4 months and STILL NO REFUND!!!

As I haven’t heard back from Gary AI on this subject, the refund of a 1-year subscription due to a technical failure on their back-end rendering is unusable, I’m assuming that they have no intention of paying it back! I have waited (patiently) since the beginning of September for this to be resolved - I have chased, emailed, filled in forms, and chatted (as there is no way to talk to a person) and done everything Gary AI have asked but…nothing.

This seems to be an unfortunate trend online from former users…

If anyone reading this is considering a joint legal claim, let me know. If, however, Gary AI is reading this… I would very much appreciate the refund you promised.

This is a total scam. I've been waiting 2 months for a refund. Either they don't reply or say the 'billing team' is working on it. What's worse is the 'customer service' rep doesn't have the contact details for the billing team and therefore can't get a more accurate ETA.

Since when does a company dept not have the contact details for another dept?

Avoid at all costs.

Average application, ai works but not as extensive as it could be. Bad customer service. Bit of a scam if you ask me.

We paid for a year, couple of months into the plan and the service has been cut. They said that they can't find my account, when I have the payment come out of my bank account and the welcome email to prove it.

Forwarded all details onto the support, said they need to pass me to a different department and....nothing. Absolutely nothing back from them!

Been in touch on live chat and they're ignoring me now. Cant get hold of anyone.

I would 100% avoid gary.ai, and if you have the extra cash use jasper.ai instead. Much more extensive functionality, much better customer support, making an overall much better product.

Poor. Lying in their advert promising all their AI writing tools for a one off $29.99. once you're roped in it turns out you get three useless tools and have to pay another $297 to get the rest of the them.

Their 'support' asked me to complete form for a refund which I did. They claim they didn't get the details but are processing my refund. It's been weeks and all I hear it's still being processed.

I now went through my credit card company with chargeback which I suggest everyone does as by now it's pretty clear they're not intending to refund any money to anyone. They're scammers.

Gary ai is a big scam with zero customer service and poor quality of actualt ai service. The moment I signed up and checked its weak system, I wrote the customer service for a refuns as promised on their website. I wrote follow-up emails but no response at all. Terrible scam! Stay away!

I can't tell if it's a scam but the way they are handling my refund, it certainly looks like one. They charged me $297 without any bill or letting me know in advance and I cancelled the service right away. It's been 2 weeks they are saying that they are working on my refund. But no clarity on when it's going to be processed. Beware of this app.

You can better give the money to some charity organisation or burn it instead give it to those scammers. The tool is not working, and there is no customer support. The lifetime package is fake!

This company is fraudulent or basically setup and now ignore emails and any sales made.

I paid for the lifetime access and now its asking me to pay monthly on top.

I paid and upgraded to pro from their trial version and the site still seems to think I have the trial version - despite charging me. I reached out to support for help for days and messaged their Facebook account as well with no response. There is no way to cancel the subscription either, I'm going to have to do a charge back via my bank.

This company is fraudulent. I paid $29.99 for them to help me with social media post services and now every time I try to log in it's saying that the page is not available. I try to contact them from the initial page and they are constantly saying theirs no one available. I tried to logged on for several days. Now theirs a link saying that another company might be trying to pose as them so beware. I don't know what's going on but I would like to have a refund and I want to let customers know that this company isn't worth the hassle.
