Had Utility out to connect me to the gas mains. They turned up when they said they would. They had to dig up some grass and a small path to get into my property. Once on my property they had to dig up some of my mono blocking. They had it all finished within 5 to 6 hours. Cleaned up put cones and fence around where they had been working. It then took them 6 days to come back and fix the path as it had to be tarmacadamed. They came back the day afterwards the path and fixed my mono blocking. You wouldn't know they had been now when you look at the path etc. I'm very happy with the job they did.

Utility smart great. Surveyor not so great
Utility smart was quick to respond to my enquiry and soon sent out a cadent surveyor. The installation date was arranged quicker than expected. I was initially charged extra for more materials when surveyor submitted his report. Work was planned to take 5 days to complete. When the work was completed in less that a day. I requested a refund as surveyor had incorrectly estimated costs and time. I’m happy to say I received a 40% refund of initial quote.

As Cadent are the network in your area, they do have a level of involvement and so you might have seen some Cadent branding on site but that is all. Thanks again for the review.

This work was not done by your company but by Cadent and subsidiaries. As a result I got differing estimates of time and inconvenience. The job got done, but far more disruption was caused than was implied by the Cadent rep.

Hi Nigel, thanks for your review but we are slightly confused by its content! Firstly, as far as we can see, the works went exactly to plan without any issues? Standard lead times are usually between 6-8 weeks from acceptance and payment and despite the fact that you proceeded at the busiest time of year we had the works completed in just over 5 weeks. A quite remarkable turnaround time under the circumstances. In terms of the works themselves, this was completed by our contractors as fully explained within our quote documents. Cadent are the network in your area and are completely separate to Utility Smart Connections. Would Cadent have had your works completed in just over 5 weeks, very unlikely indeed. Thanks again for the review and we hope this clarifies things slightly.

My questions, concerns have been answered and solved in 1 day! This is great!
When I met the guy on site during first day of work we have managed to clear the whole street, talk to all the neighbours and start the work!!!
