Let down by Gastek home assist not fit for purpose

After years of excellent service from gastek’s most comprehensive home care plan. I felt secure in that they fixed any problem quickly and without cost. I now discover that plan does not cover replacement parts or the labour involved . We were without any heat for 2/3 weeks prior to and over Christmas. Phil eventually fixed it by replacing three control parts on Wednesday of Christmas week charging me £333 which included labour.I complained but Phil insisted the care plan did not cover parts or labour involved.
Some 15 months ago after reporting a toilet failure to flush Phil decided that the only solution was to replace the toilet which cost £250,again obviously not covered by the plan. They also refused to take away the old toilet which even now is repairable. I feel very let down by Phil and still consider that my plan should have met the cost of replacement parts.
I have cancelled the plan and now get parts and labour included with additional cover at lower premium with another company.
I had a new boiler fitted by Gastek and they did an excellent job. However I need a care plan fit for purpose

Very good service!

Very good service no problems at all with the service received, on time worked efficiently and clean and tidy before the engineer left.
The only issue was a bit of delay in scheduling due to a person being on holiday, I didn’t understand why the person who answered the phone couldn’t sort it out.

Customer service failure

The worst ever customer service. Paid a year platinum membership that included gas service. When booked it, the engineer never came. While trying to understand what happened on the phone, I had to speak with an extremely not polite lady who was passively aggressive, had not my e-mail or phone number?! (with membership) and asked me to pay the visit again.

Our engineer attended at your property on the date that you booked 30/07/21, the enginner could not gain access we also tried to call you but had no answer. We have tracking information from the engineers vehicle and photos to support this which have all been sent to you. If an appointment is made and you are not in, a call out charge is issued as per your terms and conditions which has also already been explained to you. We also do have your contact number as you informed us of the missed call from our engineer so i am assuming this is the correct contact number for you have to received the missed call.

Annual boiler service

A non gas plumber is a friend of mine and he recommended Gastek for a much needed new boiler 5 years ago. The installation, and annual servicing since, have been first rate. Reliability is what I want.

Updating Central Heating System Boiler

Work to remove old boiler and install a new system carried out in pouring rain all day! Three fitters worked throughout the day to complete a two day job in one day and were exemplary in their work practices observing Covid restrictions, laying dust sheets and vacuuming up at intervals whilst remaining very professional, polite and friendly with minimal disturbance. All old materials were removed and the work and access areas left clean and tidy. I would thoroughly recommend Gastek to anyone thinking of getting their gas central heating updated or replaced.

Had a new boiler fitted by these guys they were very responsive quoted one day fitted the next they were very polite and cleaned up after themselves would definitely recommend to others thanks

Engineer didn't turn up on first…

Engineer didn't turn up on first appointment as too late at 6pm.
I was emailed invoice and shouldn't have been.
Gas cert was incorrect.
All points were corrected very quickly.
Would still recommend Gastek.

Quick, Efficient Service

Quick, efficient service.
Had a new boiler fitted, competitive price and thanks to the Gastech Team me and my family will be warm and toasty now over Christmas.
