Been an excellent experience.

Been an excellent experience. Knowledgeable staff. They've sold three vehicles for me to this point and been very happy with all facets of the process. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them to anyone.

Did not feel that I got a fair shake at Gateway every time I would call about my vehicle there would be a different salesman that did not know a lot about my car I felt as though it was not marketed properly that car should have brought me a lot more than I got so be it but would not sell another car at the Gateway (Dallas) location this is my honest opinion about Gateway.

Beware, very poor customer service!

Communication was very good when I dropped the car off and went drastically down hill after that. I NEVER received any calls from GCC until it was time to renew or continue my payment. I actually found out the car had been sold through a friend on a blog page. When i would call to ask questions the sales persons would bad mouth each other. When the car did sell, immediately sent my paper overnight using Fedex. When I asked if my payment could be sent the same way I was told absolutely not. I was given a routing number and found that USPS acidently sent the envelope to the wrong side of the country. When I called the office to alert them of the issue I was told that was impossible and not the case. I finally received my payment over week. I feel the check they sent out could have been canceled and a new check overnight to me. There was absolutely no customer service. I called with my concerns that my car was gone, GCC had their commission and I had nothing. At that point I was hung up on. I did speak with a regional manager, he did little to nothing to want to keep a possible repeat customer.

Confusing, misinformed, poor

Here are a few words that describe my experience. (confusing, misinformed, poor)
1. Promised me things that never happened.
2. Never fully explained the process to me.
3. Salesmen turnover rate was high so I had to work with several different people who didn't have any idea what was going on with my vehicle.
4. Felt pressured to except an offer below my asking price.
Not sure I'd use them again.

They got the job done

They got the job done. Car was sold. Less of a sale price than hoped for, but sometimes reality is what it is. They did get a phone number wrong and took two tries to get it corrected, so attention to detail came up a bit short. Otherwise the system worked.

Great Experience

Great experience working with Gateway Classic Cars was great and the process worked exactly like they told me it would. Sold my 65 Mustang in less than 2 weeks at the price I wanted.

Not so legendary service.

The good, they did sell my car for me.

The not so good.
- My 90 days where almost up and I called at about 80 days of my original sales contract to find out what I needed to do and the response was someone will be contacting me shortly. Two weeks passed so called back to find out the contract just renewed automatically, fortunately I planned on leaving the car with them to sell. So no big deal at this time.

-When my car did sell it sold on a Tuesday and I was told they would issue me a check the following week. I left them with my title that day and I was reassured I would get paid. Long story short and more forms required to fill out I did get paid almost a month after my car was long gone.

Basically the failure was very very poor communication. If it was not for Courtney my experience would have been awful. I felt she was doing everything she could do to help remedy the situation. I like to think this is not the norm but I will be hesitant to use their service again.

As a seller

As a seller, I was mislead and intentionally lied to. I would discourage anyone from selling or buying a car here. They are not on your side, and lie about purchase and selling price to be able to deceive both the buyer and the seller. They refuse to allow buyer and seller to talk after the deal. This prevents anyone from learning about the vehicle they purchase, especially if is a complex or modified one. This is to prevent exposure of the lies.
Terrible experience. Crooked business.
