Absolutely outstanding service from GearLink! After another garage failed to complete a job correctly, I was left stressed and unsure what to do l but Ian and the team completely turned things around.

Despite being really busy, they managed to fit me in at very short notice and couldn’t have been more helpful or professional. They quickly identified and fixed the issue quickly and professionally, keeping me informed every step of the way. To make things even easier, they also provided a free courtesy car, which was a huge help.

If you’re looking for a reliable, honest workshop for anything gear related in Salisbury, I honestly can’t recommend GearLink highly enough. Proper local service you can trust.

I first used Gearlink about 15 years ago and, as everything went so well then, I had no hesitation in taking my current car to them, when its gearbox failed. They removed, rebuilt and refitted the gearbox, the service was quick and efficient, with everything explained clearly. I was even loaned a car, which didn't cost me any extra. Highly recommended.

I was recommended to use Gearlink by a friend in the motor trade. My 2013 Vivaro van with 163,000 miles had a noisy gearbox. They have done a great job of replacing it for an excellent price, fixing some other issues they found along the way, quickly, more than fairly priced and with no fuss. I found them very positive and conscientious

Took my car to Ford who clearly couldn't care less about genuinely assisting me to sort out the gearbox. I was recommended these guys by our usual mechanic and I am so pleased with the service they provided. Welcome assurance from someone who was able to actually provide me with sound advice and a solution for below the price Ford wanted for swapping out a couple of parts they suspected were at fault.... Very expedient repair too and I am very pleased.

Fantastic experience! My Landrover Freelander had a whining/rumbling sound which I feared was my rear diff. Gearlink was recommended to me by my local trusted Volvo garage as the people who could help me. They were right! Gearlink test-drove the car and after discussion (without an ounce of 'mansplaining') confirmed that the rear diff needed re-conditioning. My car was booked in quickly and my car now sounds, and runs, without the noise. Absolutely delighted with the professionalism, knowledge and service provided. Many thanks to the team.

I was having a few issues with my 15 year old 200,000 miles T5 vans gearbox. Called Gearlink and explained the issue, they quoted me over the phone and did the job. Absolutely great job from drop off to pick up, explained in full the work they had done and the old girl is now back to her old self. cant recommend them enough. total pros thank you.

Phoned Ian about my noisy VW Touareg. I had been advised by another garage that this was due to a worn out transfer box. Ian assessed the vehicle and diagnosed it as worn wheel bearings.
Despite the time taken roadtesting and diagnosing on the ramp, there was no charge. Honesty and integrity is priceless, five stars.

I had bought a 2016 BMW X1 and discovered the 2nd gear kept popping out, after a little bit of research I got recommended this company which specialises in Manual gear boxes.
After stripping my gear box out, I had been informed that BMW did not sell any parts for the gear boxes and that they only sell the complete unit?
So surprised and was very expensive!!
Apparently my BMW X1 model had a poor design gear box when made and the gears didn’t sit back far enough causing slight crunching and over time would become like mine, not staying in gear.
It was 9 months out of its 3 year Bmw warranty so didn’t cover my fault.
This company spent a few weeks on sussing out another way around this fix and got it sorted for me by using non BMW parts which was truly amazing.
They had adapted my current gear box with new parts and made it so this poor design fault would not come back!!
So happy as this would of cost me thousands for a new gear box.
