Extremely disappointed with Gelato’s logistics and current support "system." I have two orders (G-260102130219 and G-260408132206) stuck in transit in Germany since January and April.
I was previously contacted by a person from their NPS team (Agata) who promised high standards and improvements, but now that the issues have recurred, it’s impossible to get a reply. Every email is met with an automated "case closed" response from their AI bot, Scoop.
It is unacceptable to close down human support channels when you have significant delivery failures. I am still waiting for my refunds. Gelato, please stop hiding behind bots and fix this.
Update 2026-04-28: Fast respond through direct e-mail contact - Gelato resolved the issue with refound and a free order. Thanks a lot for your support. Hopefully, the order will arrive this time. Thanks.

The condition of both the packaging and the item itself is completely unacceptable. The T-shirt was packaged in poor tissue paper, which arrived entirely damaged. Furthermore, the garment is visibly soiled and emits a strong, pungent odour that I suspect to be an illegal substance. In the past, Gelato maintained professional standards by delivering T-shirts inside sealed plastic bags and sturdy cardboard boxes. However, for my last two orders, the products arrived poorly protected in nothing but paper. And I have strong suspicions that my last two T-shirt orders do not match the product description. As a result, it is no longer viable for me to work with Gelato or maintain you as a supplier for my Etsy and eBay stores.

Gelato is so easy to use. Especially great for posters and wall art. I love that you can personalize items and so can your customers. The items that I ordered were beautiful clean clear and crisp and I printed on multiple popular products, and the shipping faster than I expected. love that it's streamlined with popular products and not too many products which can be overwhelming and means they have more quality control over their vendors. I never had a problem with any of their printing within my business, and they have great customers support.

Poor Customer Service & Unresolved Charges
I’ve had a really frustrating experience with Gelato and their support team.
My issue is straightforward: I was repeatedly charged a digitisation fee for a product I had already paid to have digitised. I made it clear multiple times that I was using the same design, with no changes to size or placement, yet I was still being charged again and again.
Initially, I requested to speak to a human agent, and while I did eventually get a response, the explanations I received didn’t resolve the issue. I was told it could be due to size or colour differences, but even after carefully matching the exact specifications and providing evidence/screenshots, the problem continued.
I followed up several times with additional details and proof that the sizes were identical, but since then I’ve had no meaningful response. It has now been over 3 days without any reply, and the issue remains completely unresolved.
As someone new to the platform, this has been a really poor first impression. I was trying to sort out basic setup issues before launching a store, but instead I’ve been left stuck, and ignored.
Customer support responsiveness and problem resolution are critical for a service like this, and unfortunately Gelato has fallen well short on both.
I wouldn’t recommend relying on this platform unless support improves significantly.

I’ve used Gelato for my business for quite some time, and unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill in a very noticeable way.
The biggest issue by far is customer support. What used to be responsive and helpful now feels completely replaced by AI systems that don’t actually resolve anything. The chat system loops through the same canned responses, often closes conversations before the issue is addressed, and makes it nearly impossible to reach a real human being. No matter how many times you try, it always redirects back to automation.
This becomes especially frustrating with lost packages, which are already time-sensitive. Customers are often waiting weeks for their orders, and when you try to report the issue, you are told to “check back in two weeks after the expected delivery date.” This is not coming from a human being. It is an automated AI response. By that point, the customer may have already been waiting close to a month, and instead of getting help, you’re stuck in a loop with no real resolution and no accountability.
As a business owner, this puts you in a terrible position. You’re the one dealing with frustrated customers, bad reviews, and refund requests, while Gelato provides no meaningful support behind the scenes. Instead of helping resolve problems, the system delays them.
The “Report a Problem” feature only adds to the frustration. It’s clunky, unreliable, and in some cases doesn’t function properly. Uploading photos for damaged products can fail, and even when submissions go through, there’s no clear follow up or resolution process.
On top of that, there are growing concerns around consistency. Print quality can vary, and there have been instances where items are processed that are actually out of stock, with no proactive communication. Once again, that burden falls back on the seller.
There is also a serious issue for artists working with the human figure. I moved to Gelato because they claimed to support classical fine art, including tasteful, non sexual nude work. In practice, that has not been consistent. I’ve had orders held for extended periods while they “look for a partner” willing to print the piece, only for it to be delayed or effectively blocked. At the same time, there seems to be inconsistent enforcement, where some imagery is approved and similar work is not. In certain cases, orders are simply not fulfilled, which directly results in lost sales.
At the end of the day, this directly affects my reputation as a business. When something goes wrong, I’m the one answering for it, while Gelato remains inaccessible. There is no accountability, and that’s the core issue.
If you’re willing to work with a company that relies almost entirely on AI, where you risk losing credibility with your own customers, dealing with unresolved issues, and potentially losing sales due to inconsistent content handling, then this may be the platform for you. Otherwise, I would strongly reconsider.
