We would whole heartedly recommend this company to our friends and family. We found them to be truly professional and hard working. The guys working in our house were personable, knowledgable and cleaned up prior to leaving at the end of the day. The Contract Manager was very professional kept the job running smoothly and was very good at keeping us informed. All in all this company was a pleasure to have working in our home. Thank you one and all.

A very big thank you to Chris Kent and his team for making a very stressful situation manageable. Having sold our property and on the verge of exchange we had a water leak in the kitchen causing significant damage to a solid wood floor, which extended throughout the hallway, kitchen and family room. The Loss Adjustors appointed Gelders and Chris and his team managed the removal without detriment to other furnishings and in particular existing kitchen units, glass worktops and skirting board removal where avoiding wallpaper damage was an issue. Chris was outstanding in his attention to detail and in managing my nervous system, as the team endeavoured to get replacement flooring and redecoration done in super fast time to get my sale over the line, which we did. I cannot praise Chris Kent highly enough as he visited and kept us updated constantly, but also giving a special mention to Martin, the joiner who took the greatest care in undertaking the removal. Thank you all.

Excellent experience. Made the whole process so easy, Kevin and the team were great, respectful and hard working. Decorator was just brilliant.

After a poor start that seemed to lack basic communication and awareness of the situation and circumstances (elderly policy holder with health conditions) our claim was allocated to a contracts estimator and contracts manager who took control and ownership and they delivered exactly as they promised and with a personal touch made us feel supported.

Many thanks to the Gelders team for assisting and the satisfactory resolve to a stressful and difficult situation.

Appointed by the loss adjuster to repair water damage to upstairs bathroom and kitchen. Chris Kent and his team of tradesmen and cleaners (Rick, Morgan, Martin, Tony, Paula and Tracey) made an extremely stressful situation bearable. I was kept informed at all stages and the team went above and beyond with the support and understanding of my mobility issues. They were professional and friendly with the standard of work being carried out to a very high standard.

Completely satisfied with the beginning, middle and the end as Gelder progressed the major repairs. I believe what has been completed is of a high standard and most impressed that everywhere was as clean as it could possibly be after all their work was completed.

Gelders have been brilliant! We had whole new bathroom fitted and the plumber and bathroom fitter have been amazing. They fitted everything with thorough check that we was happy with everything. The contract manager Kevin showed us all the different panels, toilets showers and sinks we could choose from and made sure we was happy with everything. There was a slight problem with the shower head and toilet seat so it was exchanged and refitted straight away. The service they have provided is outstanding! Thank you so much Gelder!

Not a company you should be dealing with if the behaviour of one of their drivers is anything to go by (vehicle registration AF72 YTO). An utter moron likely to cause a serious accident by deliberately breaking in front of my vehicle after a silly overtaking move. Utterly reprehensible.

Kevin Fox and his team were just fabulous! Well organised, we were kept informed of all progress and plans. All the trades were professional, polite and considerate. They did a superb job after a long year from a water leak. So helpful and remedied any small snags promptly and to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Kevin and his team from Gelders.

They arranged everything quickly even though it was Christmas. They arrived on time and were friendly. Work was done to a high standard with as little inconvenience to us. Kimberley was there to answer any questions as was Kevin who kept us updated on when trades were ro arrive.

From start to finish of the flooring replacement Gelder made the experience as easy as it could be for us. The supervision and organisation was very professional and communication at the right level. The joiners and plumber have completed a first class job and left a tidy workplace each night of the works. An excellent job all round

Very good experience with Gelder Group. Due to flooding in the property, we required a new ensuite bathroom and living room. The initial admin with Kimberly Blanaru was excellent, in constant communication with updates and reassurance. The works were managed excellently by Kevin Fox who was always available to talk to and supportive. The standard of work delivered was very high.

LV appointed Gelders after a small house fire caused damage to our kitchen. They have been brilliant and sorted the problems out swiftly. It took ten days in total from the fire to full repair, which is amazing considering we’re just before Christmas. Everyone was professional, friendly and polite and came when they said they would. Chris had been in constant contact throughout. Thank you so much!

Gelders were appointed by surveyors to carry out work on my property following a fire that had caused extensive damage to my house. They have been first class. The work has been excellent and their tradespeople are highly skilled. After they had carried out the work my partner described the result as "stunning", the decor and fittings are great. The tradespeople were also very considerate of both me, my partner and the neighbours.

This is a dishonest/scam company who try to take advantage of peoples situations by doing extremely poor quality insurance repairs to maximise their own profits.
Huge amounts of work from the schedule of work still not completed.
Broken every agreement we have ever made.
Use unskilled workers to do work that skilled tradesmen should be doing.
Claimed a huge amount of money for work they never did or ever had any intention of doing.
Work should have been completed over 2 years ago but still nowhere near being finished.
Quality of work is abysmal.
They have caused damage to my property that they have refused to fix.
Avoid this company like the plague.
Currently going through a second financial ombudman complaint to try and get the insurance work they did completed and fixed up to a good standard.

Well on the third project manager.
Nothing has been done to their own original schedule.

Running over schedule.
Quality of work is terrible, but in my experience is due to the management and feeds down.

I could only recommend you don’t allow Gelder anywhere near your home.
My mum is 81 and as her son I’ve had to step in.
A quote from their own documents sent to my mum.
“The work will managed by your contract manager and claims manager who will ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the schedule and you are kept updated”
Not one part of this has been adhered to by Gelder.
And I’m in the middle of raising a customer complaint.

Almost zero sound proofing between semi-detached homes. Most have had major water leaks via poor plumbing. Dreadful.

LV insurance company appointed Gelder Group to repair my home after impact damage.
11 months on and im still battling to get my home finished and their poor workmanship rectified.
They have strung out the insurance claim which an independent surveyor has said should have taken maximum 5-6mths to complete.
Gelders turned up the odd day here and there. Did a bit of work and then nothing would be done for days/weeks. They would then have to comeback and redo their poor first attempt.
Meanwhile I was left without my home. All of my possessions in storage and living in a spare room with family - for 8 months.
Weeks/months would pass with no work done by Gelders.
Gelders rebuilt the front of my house - which days later started to crack. The brickwork wasnt tied in, no damp course, not to building regs and then had to be taken down and redone - there’s currently still questions if this has been done right. They have not reinstated my loft insulation to building regs, they have given me a smaller garage door that has been botched with wood to try and make it fit. They built a wonky doorstep with the most shocking brickwork, double glazed windows have not been fitted correctly and have failed the Fensa inspection, they have damaged my bathroom floor, damaged my new lounge floor (which they also fitted incorrectly), new plaster is cracking, new paint peeling, cladding not sealed, they damaged my possessions, things went missing - the list goes on and on. I have had no certificates for any work done and no explanations or apology. They have vanished and left me to clear up the mess. If your insurance company appoints Gelders - please consider someone else. You will be left heartbroken and at a time when you really need someone to fix your home they will string it out and do a poor job. I now have to get someone else to rectify their poor work and finish the job through the insurance. Disgraceful company and disgraceful service/workmanship.

Gelders were called in by Sedgewick the Loss Adjusters. First rate company to deal with. Many visits pre-planned with accuracy. Specialists employed where required. One small example: Dish washer needed to be reconnected following floor replacement. Pushed into position then another specialist arrived to connect it to the water and mains 30 minutes later. Couldn't fault the company.
