I never thought I’d find myself caught…

I never thought I’d find myself caught up in something like this. You always think you're too smart or too cautious to fall for an online trap, but these platforms know exactly how to manipulate your trust.
​It started with a trading app that looked incredibly professional, complete with real-time charts, live support, and a personal analyst who checked in on me daily. I felt confident, so over the course of two months, I deposited a total of €32,100.
​The trouble started the exact moment I decided to cash out.
​When I submitted the withdrawal request, it didn't go through. Instead, I received an urgent email stating that my account was frozen due to a compliance irregularity. They claimed that under international financial regulations, I had to pay an unexpected "liquidity verification fee" before they could release my balance. I was terrified of losing what I had already put in, so I paid it immediately.
​But the goalposts just kept moving. Days later, they demanded a "regional processing tax." Every time I complied, paid a fee, and provided additional identification documents, they came back with a new excuse. I was completely trapped in a compliance loop. Despite doing everything they asked, there was absolutely no clear resolution. Eventually, the communication stopped and my account manager completely ghosted me. I felt sick to my stomach, realized I had been completely scammed, and assumed that money was gone forever.
​In sheer desperation, I started looking for professional help and found a specialized recovery service. I was incredibly guarded at first because I didn't want to get burned twice, but their team was entirely different from the generic automated services out there.

Incompetence

Customer service on the phone seemed incompetent and unable to assist with anything and “escalated” my questions to their email support team. The emails I have been receiving all feel AI generated or like copy/paste scripts that in no way address my issue. Scary that a company dealing on such a large financial scale seems to have no idea how their flagship crypto credit card even works. Avoid!

Gemini Trust - Don't sign up, you've been warned

Gemini Trust , the crypto exchange is actively blocking customers from accessing their accounts and having access to their money. I've had an account with Gemini for about 7 yrs and I haven't been able to access my account for over a year now. Customer support is a joke, only available through email when they feel like responding. They send form emails telling me to take a selfie with my drivers license and a hand written note to confirm my identity... really? Of course it never works and they continue to block me from MY money. I've tried everything I can think of but they continue to hold my and countless other customer's accounts hostage. Does anyone know how to start a class action suit against these criminals? My account holds $14,000, not a lot to some but a great deal to me being legally blind and unable to work.

Do not recommend — unfair order execution and hidden fees.

I deposited about $2,000 on Gemini.
When exchanging USD → USDC, the interface showed a rate close to 1:1. The confirmation email stated a fee of $29.35, but in reality they deducted almost $48.60.
Even worse in the Predictions section:
• Orders have significant delays (20–30+ seconds).
• When the price moves in my favor — limit orders are often canceled.
• When the price moves against me — orders are filled with delay at the worst possible moment.Support barely responds, everything is handled by bots.
Gemini gives the impression that you are playing against the platform, not the market. Many people complain about the same thing.
I do not recommend this platform.

GEMINI AI DIsapoitment

it is a waste of time in 90% of cases, it gives me the impression that the money invested is actually a total fraud and many people have become enormously rich or that those who work and deal with these AI programs are at least as smart as they think they are. Only mistakes, they just don't follow what is required, very poor results, memory loss in the same topic with 2 minutes more written forgotten what it is about, all these excuses although no one asks them from them who seem to want to be humanoids but they are 0 I don't even know what else to write. I've been struggling for 1 year to find one that is as good as possible but artificial intelligence is not. I just hope that something like this never reaches the top. And those who will switch only to artificial intelligence think it will be a catastrophe for them. Or maybe they really just want to give nonsense, plus I don't understand why they don't let me write whatever text I want even if it's one in which I want to say something bad or curse someone? Isn't intelligence created based on what it thinks or even those who deal with the software or everyone who works can't tell me what is good and what is not good to write, I don't understand where this comes from? So brothers, a total waste of time. I've been using 3 big AIs for 1 year, Chat Gpt, Gemini, Grock and I'm deeply deeply disappointed, even putting money in is not worth it because it's exactly the same thing. Plus in the free ones it's embarrassing that an AI doesn't give you a simple result to trivial questions, even taking you out of the answers just to try to get you to register and pay for them. It's a total fiasco, no comment, don't waste your money because they are a total fiasco and just billions and billions of money laundered through these companies. It's a personal opinion, everyone believes what they believe.

I have Pro version and free Chatgpt is SUPERIOR. I ask the most basic questions about diet, food, weather, shopping and I get a reply saying this conversation is not safe or appropriate Chatgpt never gave a reply like that.I wish i could give a lower rating. Whoever says Gemini is great is smoking Crack.Delusional.

Very very poor service

Very very poor service. My account has been locked and restricted despite sending in the verification twice with my picture and ID. How very frustrating. My money is basically lost and locked. Stay away not trustworthy at all.

SCAM SCAM SCAM - KEEP AWAY

My account is in restricted mode and I am unable to sell or withdraw from my Gemini account. There is no one to talk to and my only option is to email. The reply is always cut and paste from their end. Same answer no help.

Avoid

They locked my account right after my first small test trade and approving me for their credit card. I followed their ID verification instructions soon after the account was locked. It has been over a month and it’s still locked. I can’t transfer the crypto I bought out of the account, and I never got a chance to use the credit card. I contacted their customer service again today, and they said they were never able to open the verification file I sent them, even though I followed the instructions exactly. They never reached out to me to let me know. Do you really want this level of customer service anywhere near your money?

As useful as a screen door on a submarine

Received my card at the beginning of April and attempted to activate it for immediate use. Their app stated my account was locked until I could provide a picture of a photo ID with me holding a paper and a sequence of numbers. Did so within 10 minutes of receiving the email.

It has now been 7 WEEKS, and the account is still locked. I have a useless piece of cheap metal in my wallet that calls itself a credit card but is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

I contacted customer service multiple times but was only able to talk to an actual person (if not AI) once. They were clueless and said they would elevate the issue...yeah, right! I charge close to $200K on my current credit card each year and thought this would be a good alternative. This card and company are an absolute waste of time. DO NOT even bother applying!

Gemini should be shut down

Their so-called “Customer Support” is completely nonexistent. I have been locked out of my account since December 2025 and have spent the last five months attempting to get any meaningful assistance from anyone at this company. The lack of communication, urgency, and accountability is absolutely inexcusable for a financial institution entrusted with customer funds and personal information.

At this point, the level of negligence is beyond unacceptable. No customer should be left without access to their account for months while being ignored by support channels entirely. I will be filing formal complaints with the New York State Department of Financial Services, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and any other applicable regulatory agencies. This company’s handling of customer issues deserves immediate scrutiny.

My trust in Gemini turned to nothing over time.

I lost seventy-eight thousand five hundred dollars. It just went into Geminis wallet.

I sent emails to Gemini asking for help but no one replied to my emails.

There is no one at Gemini who can help you. It is just quiet.

Days went by. Then it was weeks. I had no hope.

Then a friend told me about someone who could help me.

This person was very good. They found my missing money.

They worked hard to get back every dollar.

It was a relief when I finally got my money back.

I really did not think I would see my money again.

This is abuse of our rights as users of this platform. How do you lockup a customer's account even after providing all the documentation you requested???
After a week I filed a lawsuit with the vy,tue lawyer and they ensured i not only got my money but also compensated.
