Hi genitrust.

Hi genitrust.
Please review my account I have requested to withdraw my money but more than a month I haven’t received my check. Where is my money now?
I can’t access my account on the app to schedule an appointment. Only I can do is go on the web and see my account.

Scam, stay clear

Customer service is very slow to respond to requests. It seems like there is only one person supporting all their clients

Security is very poor. They make you setup your ACH bank accounts with these very suspect looking web forms. The first account setup involves them mailing a check to your bank. It all feels very peculiar and struck a red flag immediately as it didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel comforting this company handling my account information.

Business practices are misleading. They claim no fees and all these extra bonuses. There are withdrawal fees and I had some issues trying to get all the bonus APY promised so I just gave up and initiated closing my account.

Closing your account is just as suspect of a process. They require a selfie and photo id on top of lots of email back and forth with support until you are able to close your account. I still after a few months have unable to confirm my account is closed and deleted.

I wouldn’t trust this company with your personal information and stay clear from the tempting high apy.

STAY AWAY!!

This review simply states a lie: "[...]the only bad reviews here are complaining about common verification processes standard for FDIC insured savings account." Absolutely false. I can create a new savings account online anywhere, and am asked standard questions and provide standard verifications to do so. What I have never been asked, by any reputable organization, is precisely what another review states:

Provide a selfie holding your driver license
Provide a selfie holding a written letter with date and signature

NO. That is not 'standard FDIC insured' practices. It's absurd, and ridiculous. The risk to my identity in giving them such photos is horrendous. Been paying attention to the news lately? Ransomware infiltrations of businesses are happening on a massive scale. A bad actor gets ahold of a photo of me holding my driver license, AND a copy of my signature? Easily wipe out all of my assets.

But worse - I have requested, both through their 'support' staff and legal @ genitrust.com that they cancel the 'pending' transfers, and close and delete my account. Dead silence. They are in violation of the very terms they claim to hold customers to. What's to stop them from figuring that snagging my pending transfers is worth it, even though I no longer wish to invest with them?

No, this company should be investigated by the FTC.

UPDATE: Response to claim that they can't find me as a customer in their system. Just more deception - and cautionary evidence. If they can't find me in their system - with my not-exactly-typical name, then seriously, how competent are they even with basic technology? I have my entire email thread with their support staff. I have the two emails I sent to legal @ genitrust.com. I have screenshots of my account. No, I can see the direction this is going - they'll claim I'm not even a customer, therefore this must be a fake review. I'll happily share all of my evidence - but probably with my state attorney general's office at this point.

Already appearing sketchy

Tried sending $500 from my yotta savings over to genitrust savings. It took over a week of pending and just today i get a -$500 "dep/wd returned". Not even sure what that is, why it happened, or whos fault it is but Genitrust just charged me with a $35 service order fee for whatever that mishap was. Gonna see if support will help me but for now this app is already appearing sketch for this only being my second deposit.
Update: they dont support many third party banks, like Yotta. In order to get your service order fee back, genitrust wants you to make the deposit again (in this case $500) and also deposit $35 so you can get your refund on service order fee

Honestly it should say something that…

Honestly it should say something that the only bad reviews here are complaining about common verification processes standard for FDIC insured savings accounts. Oh, did I mention this is an FDIC insured bank account with 7-9% APY? Yeah that's right! You need to meet some basic requirements but if you can save $200/month then you can earn 7% APY, and if you save $1000/month then you earn 9%! It's absolutely insane for a federally insured account! The only downside is the fee of $2 for withdrawls.

Verification process

The app is requiring me to do the following for verification, I never needed to do this with my other online banks or most crypto accounts requiring KYC.

-A selfie of you holding your State issued Identification.

-A selfie of you holding a written letter that has the Date, Your signature, and Genitrust.com

Wondering if anyone here felt offended in being asked to do so like a criminal holding your ID.
