Be cautious with this insurance company. I used their service for 6 months and had just one doctor visit that cost €86. Out of that, they only reimbursed €10. They deduct €50 for every claim, no matter how small, and clearly try to minimize the refund.

On their website, they claim to cover specific treatments, but in reality, they denied reimbursement for something explicitly listed as covered. At €60/month plus €50 per claim, it’s simply not worth it, especially if you’re under 50. I strongly do not recommend this company.

Their AI was incredibly fast and helpful — honestly better than most human customer services I’ve dealt with — and when I needed a Spanish version of my insurance certificate for immigration authorities, they handled it immediately and efficiently.

The certificate was delivered fast, correctly formatted, and clearly outlined all the coverage needed (accident, illness, hospitalization, repatriation, etc.). This level of precision and responsiveness was critical for my visa application, and Genki exceeded expectations.

Also, the monthly flexibility and ability to cancel anytime is ideal for travelers who don’t know how long they’ll be staying. Add to that the quality of communication, and I can confidently say:
Genki is the gold standard in international travel health insurance.

Recientemente contraté Genki Traveler mientras preparaba mi solicitud de visa colombiana como pensionado europeo. Desde el primer momento recibí un soporte excepcional, tanto por parte de su asistente virtual como del equipo humano.

Su inteligencia artificial fue increíblemente rápida y útil — sinceramente mejor que muchos servicios de atención al cliente tradicionales — y cuando necesité un certificado de seguro en español para las autoridades migratorias, lo gestionaron de forma inmediata y eficiente.

El certificado llegó rápido, correctamente redactado y con todos los elementos necesarios (accidente, enfermedad, hospitalización, repatriación, etc.). Este nivel de precisión y rapidez fue clave para poder presentar mi solicitud de visa, y Genki superó con creces mis expectativas.

Very good insurance being a digital nomad. They paid many claims, not all. But, their policy is clear so read what is covered. There customer service is very responsive. I would recommend Genki as a provider. I had the Native plan.

I never had to use the health insurance because I was not ill during my stay abroad, but website and communication with Genki is correct and very clear and to the point. I liked it.

Everything was fine until I had to cancel a booking through Air Doctor. You pay for expensive insurance, but you’re still left to handle all the communication and paperwork on your own.

They also left this comment under other review:
“For emergencies that require hospitalization, we always offer direct billing, including any planned surgeries or inpatient care.”
That’s simply not true — they do not cover planned surgeries.

In my case, I was diagnosed with a hernia of the linea alba. The doctor confirmed that while it’s not yet critical, surgery is needed as soon as possible. Still, the insurance refused to cover it, claiming it’s a planned procedure.

Very versatile insurance option, as long as you're not staying in your home country for too long. However, as far as international travel goes, it's an option with outstanding coverage at the cheapest prices I could find.

Everything with Genki was really easy. From the website you can subscribe and manage the policy and if you have any question, they will answer you very fast at the live chat. I used the policy during my trip since I had to go to the hospital for a serious infection. The process to request a refund was straighforward. I received the refund for both medical visits and medicines after a few days

The whole process of applying for an insurance was very easy and not complicated at all. The team is also very helpful regarding questions and requests, my email was replied within minutes, which is very impressive. I am very satisfied! Can recommend Genki for people going abroad (especially for the first time).
