I went to Iceland in Sept 2024 on a 10 day bus tour with GeoTours. They are extremely well organized. They sent out pre-trip communications and packing lists and organized a group Zoom meeting to ask questions and meet participants. The trip in Iceland was well-planned and fun - the tour guides were very knowledgeable. The hotels were nice. The only downside was changing hotels almost every night.

GeoTours is an excellent tour organization, which is headed by the highly energetic and extremely capable and knowledgeable Matt Ebiner. My partner Elizabeth Shadish and I have traveled with GeoTours on many trips for the past 14 years. Most recently, with GeoTours we visited South Africa, Eswatini and Namibia. I continued on with GeoTours to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. There was an excellent combination of museum visits, game drives to see a galaxy of animal and bird species, visits to native villages and interactions with the highly competent local guides that Matt arranged. I strongly recommend GeoTours for tourists who want to do more than just lounge around on cruise ship deck chairs.

Geotours is a wonderful tour for people interested in the natural beauty of a country. We went to Iceland and had an amazing & informative tour of this incredibly beautiful country. If you have an adventurous spirit and love the natural world, Geotours is definitely a tour for you. At different stops, our guides, Matt, a professional geographer and Don, a geologist, could explain what we were looking at and experiencing, which greatly enhanced the trip. There was also a lot of cultural commentary, including interesting stories about the Icelandic ppl and folklore. We were also fortunate enough to experience the northern lights, which was a lucky bonus. Iceland's landscapes are breathtaking. Enormous waterfalls, hikes to gorgeous canyons, iceberg lagoons- every day was something new. You will not be disappointed!

I really loved my tour of Iceland with Geotours US by Matt Ebiner and his team. I really appreciated that the tour was very comprehensive, we saw a lot in 9 days. Also that, even though our tour bus was large, we adventured to locations and roads that a big bus might not usually go. My one constructive feedback is that we changed hotels every night, which was exhausting, I prefer tours where you stay in one location for two or three nights and use it as a hub for exploration, even if it means having to backtrack sometimes.

Ten day trip around Iceland with a special focus on the geology. Matt Ebiner is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide. His selection of places to visit and hotels was impeccable. When things were closed, due to the shoulder season or road closures, because of the expert knowledge of Matt and the local bus driver Gisli, alternative points of interest were found that were equally interesting.

Highly recommended - Geo Tours and Matt Ebiner.

Well run, professional, caring outfit. It was like traveling with family . . . but in a good way. Looking forward to taking another trip with GeoTours.

We have been on 5 or 6 Geotours trips, and we highly recommend their trips. They select great local guides, who are much better than the typical guides we get on our own independent trips. Matt and Suzan are great at planning trips and especially at informing guests from registration throughout the process (including flight recommendations) to get you there. The lodgings they select are always comfortabl and meals included are excellent, usually at hotels and restaurants the owners have been to themselves during previous trips Most importantly, Matt and/or Suzan go on the trips with you, so that you have the owners, organizers, and flight experts along with you the entire time.

The entire trip was extremely well organized. The English-speaking guide was very knowledgeable. The hotel accommodations were very nice and all of the participants were friendly and fun people. Great value for the cost.

We have been traveled with Geotours many times (Peru, Kilimanjaro, Safari, Morocco, Argentina, chile, Patagonia, Sicily). Geotours consistently provide enjoyable and well-organized experiences. We definitely will join their trip again in the near future.

We are so happy we've found Geotours! We've enjoyed two tours with them (Iceland - we were blown away by the beauty and getting off the beaten path to throughly explore; and Sicily - great journey through antiquity - great local guides who helped bring alive the various cultures who inhabited this special land) and another scheduled in Bali. Matt and Suzan are great at planning trips and especially at informing participants from registration throughout the process (including flight recommendations) to get you in country. The lodgings they select are always comfortable. Meals included are excellent; and there are always "surprises" along the way - additional fun ways that pop up along the journey to enhance the experience. No hesitation to recommend Geotours for your next getaway!!

We have been with Geotours on two trips, New Zealand and Sicily. We are signed up for Bali also. Matt and Suzan run a well organized operation with lots to see and do. We loved seeing the geology in New Zealand, with high peaks and glaciers. The hanging glacial valleys at Milford Sound are spectacular. In Sicily, the mosaics in the churches are over the top, and we also liked the Greek temples and amphitheaters. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful trip. Everything was perfect. Hotels very comfortable and in very convenient locations close to restaurants and main streets to get access to some walking distance attractions. Geotours choose amazing destinations and was very organized. I definitely recommend Geotours and no doubt will travel with them again

Had a wonderful trip to Iceland with Geotours lead by Matt Ebner and Don Barrie.The tour was by bus and we circled the island. It covered waterfalls and other beautiful sites. The hotels were very comfortable and great care was taken to be sure we learned a lot about the geology of Iceland.

I have done two trips with GeoTours and Matt. Both were excellent and full of great sights and experiences. All transportation and accommodations are top notch. A great way to travel.

Such an information packed trip with hike choice where people could do less or more. Places we could have never seen on our own! They give you so much variety in what we saw to truly know the land.

My wife and I recently toured Egypt and Jordan with Geotours, and we had a great time. Not just seeing Abu Simbel, but going inside and seeing the colors of the artwork still strong after some 3300 years was amazing. We loved seeing King Tut’s treasures at the old museum, but were disappointed that the new Grand Egyptian Museum still wasn’t completed in time for us to catch them there.
These were our 6th and 7th tours with Geotours, and Matt and Susan have never failed to provide interesting, fun, and educational experiences. We will be going to Romania with them this coming Fall, and we are excited about that.
Geotours is a small family owned and operated business. They have been at it for a very long time, and I think what makes them special is that they bring all of that experience to the table. Chances are that if you go somewhere with them you will be going to someplace they have been to numerous times before. That pays off not just in planning itineraries, but also in knowing minutiae about those destinations, like where to eat, or shop, or go for the best vantage points for photography. They really do strive to make sure everyone is enjoying their trip, and I’ve seen them go out of their way to accommodate individuals who had issues that were detracting from their enjoyment.
In my opinion Geotours provides what I would call mid-market tours. They are neither 5 star luxury tours nor low budget tours. It’s a comfortable spot in the middle.
For us, so far, it has always been money well spent.

I enjoyed this trip. Learning and seeing amazing locations. Every Geotours trip I've been on is incredible and I very much enjoyed my time and my money spent on this trip is worth every cent. Can't wait for the next trip.
