What an ongoing issue with AKKO

What an ongoing issue with AKKO. I had a dispute about a billing issue. My credit card issued me a credit. However, AKKO denied it and the credit card reapplied the charges. I then contacted AKKO on 4-24-25 and 5-1-25-25 to address this issue. Of course, they have NOT replied to me at all. But, yet in the past when I had the same insurance AKKO was WONDERFUL. It must be the customer service people that you try to reach out to. Some care and others simply DO NOT. In the end all I am asking for is the credit that they told me the applied back to my credit card in the amount of $101.65 What a nightmare for a US veteran and at 67 yrs. old to be going through. NOT HAPPY AT ALL THIS TIME AROUND.

We wanted to reply here to clarify that your claim was approved and fully paid out on April 22, 2025, even though the phone filed for was not the same one registered on your account. We also waived your deductible in full, a one-time exception we made to ensure you still received your benefit despite the discrepancy.

In terms of billing, the only charge we’ve ever made to your account was the one-time $121 startup payment in January. There have been no additional charges since. We understand there was confusion around this, and we’ve sent several emails that have gone unanswered to explain in more detail and confirm everything was resolved.

It looks like your bank initially issued a temporary credit while they reviewed the dispute filed, but then reinstated it after confirming that the service, including a paid claim, had been delivered.

This Company has always been good but they get better and better all the time!

ive been with AKKO for several years now. ive had to file a fews claims in that time. I left a 5 star review after the very first claim i filed with them and i can honestly say the process has got easier and better each and everytime. I have never once had a mentionable issdue with thius company. I wouldn't even consider buying insurance from any other phone/electronic insurance provider. I mean these guys are great! I dont leave a positve review for any company haphazardly. This is an A+++ company

AKKO really impressed me with how easy…

AKKO really impressed me with how easy and quickly they made dealing with my device claim. I had funds for the replacement sent by method of my choice within 6 hours of filing the claim; and most of that time was waiting on me to send pictures of the damage to the claims team! Highly recommend them!

Excellent Customer Service

I’ve unfortunately had my tv broken twice by kids throwing toys. Don’t judge, some kids are very stubborn. I had a hiccup on my second claim and it was initially denied without asking for further clarification, but ultimately it was accepted, and fast. Just use the app and follow the claim rules for a pretty fast experience and payout. Also, describe the incident properly, so there’s no confusion! I’m a lifetime customer, even after my toddlers are older and out of their wild stage.

AKKO is the best

This is my third time using AKKO insurance for one of my electronics, and once again, they exceeded expectations. My iPhone was having trouble connecting to the internet, and the claims process was incredibly smooth, just like before. I got my phone repaired and received my reimbursement within just 3 days of opening the claim fast, easy, and reliable every time.

Terrible Customer Service

Terrible Customer Service
My phone was lost while camping. I had to go find a place with internet to contact them. It was a very hot uncomfortable place. They would not call me so I could go somewhere else. They were aware. She spent over an hour on chat with me accomplishing nothing. She wanted me to file online, but their website wouldn't take my info. Had to send her screenshots and she no idea what was wrong. Eventually she just stopped responding. Then I got back and forth email with them and they keep asking for more and more things. Why not all at once, so I could take care of it? This process started Wednesday, it's now Friday before a 3-day weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get a phone on Tuesday, but the way their going I doubt it. I'm supposed to go on another trip on Friday. I hope I have a phone by then because I can't go without one.
I posted the above before I was approved for my claim. I got an email stating that they would not approve the claim unless I took down the review. So, I did, but now that everything is done, I am reposting it. This is a good TERRIBLE company! Do not do business with them.
I finally received the claim the following Tuesday.

Had an excellent experience with Akko

Had an excellent experience with Akko. We submitted our first claim the other day. We didn't realize we needed to contact them before having the repair made. They were very understanding and made a one-time exception and still processed the claim! They could have absolutely denied the whole thing given their policy, but they went the extra mile, and you rarely see that these days. Recommended.

AKKO is worth the money

I followed all of the steps to get my phone onto the insurance. Be sure to read all of the rules and what they need before you can be confident that your phone is covered. I just lost my phone, and I got my pay out within 4 days, which is incredible speed and was a very easy process. I would recommend this to anyone, but you cant get mad at AKKO if you do not follow their instructions.

On point despite delays

Response times weren’t bad despite the delay they said they were sorry for. They were very informative, professional, and offered great assistance. Definitely recommend using this service. Don’t know any like it.

Perfect coverage!

I've had Akko for about 5 years now and every year it seems like I need to use it for one reason or the other. The claim process was fast and easy. Response time from the initial claim was fast (less than 24 hours) and the next steps in the claim process were explained clearly which made the claim completion go smoothly.
