Straight forward website, what you see is what you get. Full explanation of how to use product. It takes a little getting used to washing your hair in a slightly different way but my goodness, it’s worth the effort! My hair feels lighter, softer and doesn’t feel greasy after 24 hrs. Actually if I didn’t go swimming every couple of days, I think I could leave it longer in between washes. Added bonus of doing my bit for sustainability too! Did I mention it smells great too? 😃

I'm currently training to swim the English Channel, so my hair is exposed to lots of chlorine and salt water but selkie keeps it shiny and detangles it perfectly.

The product is great but soon after ordering I realised I’d ordered shampoo instead of conditioner and emailed to ask if I could amend the order and got no response.

Very fast delivery! I was curious about this and tried it when it arrived. My hair is fine and gets dry ends. I need to blow dry it for it to be shiny. I tried this product and my hair is soft, light and shinier than normal without having had to use any heat. Just combed it once and after one night sleep it’s the same softness!!! I love this. Plus it smells lovely ☺️

Absolutely love the product itself, I find the shampoo so cleansing yet nourishing! I just wish it went a little further - as sharing between two of us, I tend to run out within 1.5 weeks or so and am spending quite a lot on refills.

My honest review after using for 3 months (fine, straight hair).
I didn't like it at first but grown to love it. It just took some time for my hair to get used to the formula. Now that it has, my hair definitely isn't getting greasy so quickly and feels a lot healthier. I do think that the instructions for the conditioner aren't great for someone with fine hair as it's much to heavy and weighs down your hair, but if you put more water in it than instructed it works really well. It also smells great!

Really impressed with these products. My hair feels great after using the shampoo and conditioner, shiny and soft to touch, my hair is normally dry from colour and bleach so it takes a lot to make it look healthy. I highly recommend Selkie, I’ve tried lots of different products but this works better than many alternative expensive hair products. I’ll definitely be purchasing on repeat.

I wanted to give Selkie a good go before I wrote my review. It's been over a month now and wow, I honestly can't believe how amazing these products are. I have fine hair, which goes flat and greasy really fast, but Selkie gives it natural volume, doesn't weigh it down, and I've been able to go longer between washes, which I never thought would be possible! My hair looks and feels so healthy. Idk what magic you've put in these but consider me well and truly hooked, you've changed my hair game completely. I'm so happy I found Selkie! I would love a travel set, and would love if you had some kind of dry shampoo for a quick refresh on in-between days. Or would it be possible to put your formula in soap bar form for travel? I can't wait to see what you come out with in the future!! You are amazing Selkie!! I cannot urge you enough to try this.

I’ve written before about how much I like the product, but now I also want to say how lovely the customer service is! I had some issues with receiving my product one month due to problems with the courier. Selkie replied to my email really quickly and immediately sent out replacements twice (as my parcel never made it to me twice). They were lovely throughout the whole thing and weren’t defensive or anything like that, just sent the replacements out no questions asked. It gave me confidence that I was supporting a lovely small business with good people behind it who are willing to work hard to keep customers!

I’m 44 and have been dealing with hair thinning due to menopause, so I was unsure about trying Selkie after seeing it on Instagram. I didn’t think it would suit my hair, but I’m really glad I gave it a go.

My hair feels thicker and softer and looks healthier overall. I also have very sensitive skin and usually react to shampoos and conditioners, but I’ve had no issues at all with Selkie. I’ve just received my first refill and won’t be going back to supermarket or expensive salon brands. I do need to brush the conditioner through in the shower, which isn’t a problem. I’d definitely recommend it.

I have the most faddy hair ever, fine and textured. When you use this it doesn’t really feel like it’s doing anything, shampoo or conditioner but I’ve had the shiniest best condition hair I’ve had in years and other people are noticing. Take a leap of faith, support a small British company. Well done Selkie, I’m loving it x

I really wanted to love this product. The concept, the female owned aspect and the fact it is zero waste but the more I use it the more my hair feels sticky and heavy and then just greasy. My partner used it and felt the same. Maybe we are doing something wrong and there is a simple fix but unfortunately we can't continue using this product which means there's lots of wasted shampoo now.

Really pleased with my Selkie experience! From receiving my starter pack, it was simple to mix the powder with water to create the shampoo and conditioner. I have tried natural shampoos before but not found great results, however when I use Selkie, I am left with lovely clean and conditioned hair. I would definitely recommend!

I started using Selkie shampoo and conditioner a few weeks ago and love how it makes my hair feel. I have extremely long hair that I only wash around every 10 days so the shampoo lasts a while. I have found the customer care amazing, I got in a muddle with my subscription set up and they worked out what had happened and helped me work out most economical way to set up for my personal needs. They were understanding and very quick to respond. I really enjoy supporting small businesses that genuinely appear to care for the customer and have good products. So far I would highly recommend them

I’m loving Selkie hair products 🤍 They leave my hair so soft and silky. I was sceptical at first because even natural products used to leave my hair dry and frizzy… but after just a couple of uses, I really saw the difference!

It smells amazing, feels super gentle (even on the eyes), and isn’t aggressive at all. Bonus: my kids use it too and love it 🥰
