FRAUDULENT LIARS

This is a horrible, fraudulent, dishonest company with terrible customer service. I purchased a bundle which guaranteed their 101-night sleep trial for the mattress with a free and hassle free full return. The bundle was supposedly 40% off each item, which is listed individually on their website. No other item is returnable. We decided the mattress was uncomfortable and not cooling like advertised, so I initiated the refund. I realized pretttttty quickly their responses were vague in regards to my refund. When I asked for specifics, I was told the 40% the entire purchase price of the bundle would ONLY apply to the mattress, meaning they would consider the entire mattress at original price of $2700+ and subtract the bundle discount of $2460, and only refund me $242. The entire cost of the bundle was $3800+!!! To be told I could return the mattress and get a complete refund, but then charge me full price for every single item yet apply basically 90% off to the mattress price and give me pennies on my return?! That I’m actually supposed to arrange to donate but send the receipt to ghostbed for them to claim on their tax refund?? Absolutely absurd. And that is not listed ANYWHERE on their website. They have one vague sentence about refunds will be adjusted for promotions, but not this. Avoid them at all costs!! I expect a lawsuit in the near future about this shady company. Buyer beware!!

Ordered a mattress topper on 1/26/22

Ordered a mattress topper on 1/26/22. After 10 days, they didnt even ship although they promise 48 hrs shipping. We cancelled and requested a refund. Its now 2/23/22 and no refund. I call daily to inquire and can never get someone on the phone to explain. Its about time to have an attorney send a letter. These people stink.

BUYER BEWARE! GHOST BED IS A SHADY COMPANY

After seeing so many great reviews for the Ghost Bed products I decided to place an order myself, however after only a few minutes I had a change of heart on making the purchase and so I reached out to their customer service to initiate a cancellation. I literally did this in under 10 minutes from the time I placed the order.

They were quick to reply and inform me that "due to how quickly orders are processed and fulfilled, they are unable to cancel any orders once they have been placed."

Mind you, this was after normal business hours. Just before 6pm—in the same time zone that they operate.

So I thought, perhaps if I called them someone might be able to help me with cancelling as there is literally no way that the order has been processed. Boy was I wrong.

After waiting on hold for approximately 10 minutes the customer service rep popped back on the line to inform me that there is just no way to cancel the order. She then followed up by telling me that per the terms on the website, they do not cancel orders.

I went back on their site and typed in 'cancel' in their search bar... "Sorry, no results found. Try again." so I tried 'cancel order', then 'cancellation policy', finally 'cancellation'—still nothing.

After this I scrolled to the website footer, where I found 'TERMS' ... upon clicking through I scrolled the page and the categories listed are: Legal Notice, Copyright, Trademarks, Use of Site, Shipping & Delivery, Sales Tax, Warranties, Industry Allowances, Return Policy – 101 Night Sleep Trial, Referrals, Promotions, Online Voucher Programs, Bitcoin, Restocking Fee, Recycling Fee, Store Hours, and Miscellaneous..... Nowhere did they have a section regarding 'Orders' or 'Cancellation Policy'.

I had to dig through the sections to find that, under Shipping & Delivery, they hid "No cancellations, address changes, size changes, or product changes are permitted after an order has been placed."

There is no visible mention of this anywhere throughout the customer experience—and to top it off, the customer is told that they must refuse delivery from FedEx after which they then charge a 15% restocking fee.

This company is shady and unethical—and I can't believe that with such horrible credibility they somehow manage to get such great reviews and promotion from all sorts of publications.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCUMMY BRAND!

Terrible company

Terrible company, very scummy, drags they’re feet and does everything they can to get out of refunding your money if you don’t like they’re mattress at the end of the trial. Will make you pay shipping out of your own pocket on any promotional items they decided to send you or bill you full retail

canceled order due to lack of delivery

Ordered a mattress topper that was never shipped out, I called twice to check on it before calling a 3rd time to cancel. Both of the operators on the first 2 calls told me to wait a few more days for my tracking number to be emailed to me.

Dishonest and disorganized

I ordered a mattress on Nov 1 and the next day realized the mattress wasn't going to fit my new place. I went on to their chat to cancel it and because I had a hold on my order, I assumed it was an easy cancellation process. Wrong.

2 weeks later, the order still wasn't cancelled. Connected with them via chat again and they assured me that the cancellation was in their queue and that they send me a confirmation email for the cancellation.

Now Dec 1, it's still not refunded and multiple calls to them, they've still refuse to cancel.

Bad customer service, slow to refund. Did not like the Ghostbed and asked for…

Did not like the Ghostbed and asked for a refund. They made me wait 30 days. Then offered a mattress topper (which I accepted) but it wasn't good. Finally got the mattress returned in October 27. Was told in an email that it would be MAXIMUM 15 days to get my refund. 15 came and went. I talked to four different people and each said something different. And each promised refund date came and went. Then they tell me it's 15-30 days. So apparently their employees know nothing about their policies. They don't care if they upset you and act like I'm the annoying one for expecting my money back. I asked for a specific date (bc I want their calendar date where they will have my refund in my account). But they refused to give me a particular date saying "15-30 days from your return." I know this, but I wanted a date form their mouths but no.... Not a good experience. Very delayed! They have no trouble getting a mattress to someone quickly when we paid them our money, but it takes them forever to give you your money back!

This company is very deceptive

This company is very deceptive, stay away if you must buy this bed get it from Costco for $1200 less. Don’t believe the 101 day warranty, they have a way around it. The frame is not included in their 101 warranty. Sneaky sneaky!

It's not worth the purchase, if you have to get an attorney

Here is my experience of a nightmare that we had to go through. We purchased the mattress on 1/30/21 $1,046 sale. The mattress arrived through Fedex another company with a lovely rating. It was fast shipping (24 hours on the confirmation email) you will find out why in a bit. Received mattress 2/3/21! I got a free shirt that said, “GhostBed you got Ghosted!” Huh. Ghostbed Luxe I slept on it, it was like “Psychomagnothoric Slime” in it, just squished down. Platform slats you can feel them poking your back. It’s not supernatural cool either, depends on temperature of the room, turns out hot in given time from body heat. Upon giving it a 30 day+ trial, I did the return process I couldn’t take the back pain anymore, an air mattress had better support.

Return process nightmare, like similar to others. I got a notification of sending it to the “Customer Retention Department.” I got an email a day later from this department, states they are willing to do an upgrade to a Flex model. I replied back, “No thanks, I just want to return/refund the mattress.” No reply back from my response. I got another email from a different Retention Employee. This person comes out says, “you keep the mattress, we give you $100 something credit.” I replied back, “No thanks, I just want to return/refund the mattress.” No response from this person either. Thinking, why would I want to keep a mattress, no support, back and neck hurt and crooked like a dinosaur when I wake up. That doesn’t make any sense, lose money, throw it in the trash and get a credit to spend on more subpar stuff?

We tried to call GhostBed 3/18/21, long hold on phone I wasn’t getting a response by anyone by email. We recorded the phone call, like they do to customers. A woman answered, gave my information, just said, “They should have emailed you on how to get someone to come pick up the mattress and get your refund started.” “Nope, nobody did”, I said. She turned into a ghost, silence it was between questions. I heard in the background, kids. Thinking she working at home. Kids said, “you ghosting people mamma,” real faint. I was thinking, “Oh man, this is some experience people on BBB and other sites had gone through.” Then she responds, “I will get that email sent to you and start the process.” I said, “Okay.” Silence. Then she says, “Anything else I can help you with?” I said, “You sending that now to me?” “Yes,” she replied. That never happened ever, no email, no call, waited about weeks. I got ghosted by a company that blames other companies that do this.

We did a charge back with credit card, FTC, CFPB, State Attorney General filing, cause of the waiting of them ghosting me, when trying to even return a mattress/refund for the trial as it states, seemed ignored. The charge back of credit card, they were Untruthful and Twisted blaming us on that, they were Untruthful with CFPB too. Stating they gave us the information on return/refund, first it was they emailed us to another story they called us up also, never had any correspondence with them ever.

We then reached out to an attorney he helped us with getting this started for return/refund. Our consumer rights and taking them to small claims court also. He looked into company complaints, even BBB, reading the terms on site, turned one sided for company. Certified letter to GhostBad, 30 days to respond and getting them to get return/refund process started before taking it to court. Attorney said when calling them, they don’t know what they are doing or how to get a hold of someone upper for him to talk to. Which we had that problem too. No contact with supervisor, like others. Finally a Supervisor did email us, he wouldn’t call us. He was going to take care of it. We were contacted by Sharetown to pick up mattress, 2x no show or called either. Which we told them that, then in turn was another company named Loadup, which they did pick it up. Followed the directions given. Then it came about, the charge back on credit card was still on their system couldn’t release refund cause of that. That was Untrue, charge back was not on the credit card system for weeks and showed documentation on that. They dragged their feet, until a couple days before I was going to file to the court, they did finally issue a refund on 6/22/21. They would lose surely, if it went to that. Recordings, documents, etc.

Why was it fast shipping for me? The return process is tearing the tag off before pickup for documentation, it was nearly a year old mattress I was shocked! Through the process, it took 3 months to get a refund back on my credit card! This will make you think, you want to buy a mattress or anything from this company and risk having to pay for an attorney and other options to get a refund back? I tell people don’t order from Ghostbed. They say, “why, did they ghost you?” “Yup,” and tell my awful story.

Ghostbed is a scam

Ordered a mattress topper based on 30 day shipping. I contacted them at 30 days and every week for 3 more weeks and was repeatedly led to believe the item was shipping imminently. I was even told the supplier had confirmed all back orders would be shipped by weeks end, which never happened.

The operators you can access have no info other that your order details and are unable to transfer you or give any access to a manager/supervisor etc..

These people literally strung me along for 7 weeks while their website maintained the 30 day ship policy the whole time! Eventually I contacted them to refund my money, they agreed but stated it would take up to 15 days to process! At that point I opened a case with PayPal to ensure they followed through. They actually responded to me through PayPal and said that I would have to close the case or it would take up to 75 days to receive the refund! I checked with PayPal who confirmed this was not the case and immediately upped the case to a claim.

PayPal ruled in my favor and thankfully forced Ghostbed to credit my card almost 2 1/2 months after my initial purchase.

Ghostbed is a complete scam. They will string you along as long as they can and you will need to force them to obtain a refund for goods never delivered. I am so thankful to have had recourse through PayPal and to be done forever with these scammers..Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had. Do not do business with Ghostbed.

worst service ever

worst service ever. They sell products even when they are out of stock. They had not shipped my pillow after 3 weeks, so I wrote to them. They told me the pillow is out of stock and tried to tell me they could send me a cheaper one instead, I ask for a refund and now 2 months later no news. I contacted them 2 times since to get updates and they just said a bunch of bs and said the refund is still being processed...

Ordered a ghostbed mattress topper in…

Ordered a ghostbed mattress topper in August 2021…several “it’ll ship in ~2 weeks” statements later, the thing finally arrived in late October…it’s supposed to be 3” thick and it’s only 2” thick. It’s so soft it basically does nothing whatsoever, and it off-gasses so much you can’t get near it. Totally worthless product. They denied a return because it was opened, but it’s impossible to know if it’s torn or too thin, etc. without opening it and letting it expand. They hide behind a blanket statement that the mattress industry has a 1” variance tolerance. Yeah, but 1” out of 10” or more is not a big deal; 1” out of 3” is 30% thinner than advertised. What a lousy company.

Cheap made-in-China frame

I am very disappointed in the frame ordered to pair with the GhostBed mattress. The cheap made-in-China construction was not welded correctly at the hinge. This caused difficulty with assembly and the frame to be warped and therefore wobbly. I will be requesting a refund.

Ghost bed is the worst bed ever

Ghost bed is the worst bed ever. We had to replace the first one for being uncomfortable and paid more, DUMB me! Second one still has peaks and valleys and can't get an even layer to sleep on comfortably. Sheet smelled so bad, had to give them away. The entire room smelled of it. Pillow is not comfortable either. Wastes all this money for junk! Beware of this company and its line of bull.
