Excellent software for encryption. If you are not a power user then many of the free offerings like Ghostvolt Start or Shell will likely be enough for you. You cannot change the encryption key with those though, so beware.

Takes a little bit of understanding ,I needed it for security when abroad . I just hate not doing something to protect your data, Then later thinking I should have done that .Also 2FA is becoming more Standard too , its like If Was stuck with a flat tryer , I WOULD have good spare in the boot (not another Flat ! that did not bother getting fixed from before) some forethought makes a difference , this helps

The download and installation of Ghostvolt was quick and easy. The UI is familiar to Windows Users. It seems to be faster than other encryption tools I have used, but it would seem a lot more secure if the folders and filenames were not visible to anybody in Windows Explorer. The contents may be thoroughly encrypted, but the filenames themselves might disclose private information.

Took me a minute to get to the task of trying GhostVolt due to my busy season. Amazingly simple to use. I downloaded it and took the tours which guide you through the entire process and app to show you how things work. Best part, the tour is ALWAYS there on the tab if you forget.
I've been using Kryptos for years. This will work much better, protecting my HIPAA information files and all my other secure information. Easy to set up, use and enjoy!

Well organized Software , I am a Kryptos user however this beats it by miles. Drag & Drop in an Windows environment just makes it a breeze to use. Also excellent Customer support

As a digital nomad, I am constantly on the go so it is super important for me to protect my important files. For years I’ve heard about the importance of encryption but it all sounded like alien language to me until I came across GhostVolt.

If you can work Window Explorer, you can use GhostVolt.

This software works like a dream. From the installation, to the implementation and use, it is clear the developer has a talent.

The installation is so well thought out, that it not only walks (and encourages you) to do a trial, it gives you shortcuts to verify your email, create an emergency login document and then go through the tour.

Moving files, encrypting is automatic, decrypting files and even editing files are a breeze...again, just like you're working in the Windows environment.

I was hooked with Kruptos, and now I love GhostVolt.

I would certainly recommend GhostVolt to anyone. And for the following reasons. I am constantly looking for a program that is easy to use. I settled on AxCrypt for that very reason. I would say that GhostVolt, although seemingly more complex, is easy to understand and operate. What particularly impresses me about the program, bearing in mind how new it is, is the wealth of tutorials and help files already available and the step by step nature of these. The interface is simple and uncluttered and easy to use. I am very impressed with how quickly it converts and encrypts even large numbers of files. Its certainly quicker than AxCrypt. The Teams/Sharing function is also easy to use although of limited value to me as a home user. I havent found any glitches as yet. So very happy and will continue to use it as it is practical and simple to use.

Think about your privacy on time and keep your personal files locked.Try GhostVolt Solo is nicely packaged functional and secure.The nice interface supports dark mode.All in all useful and easy to use!

Built by the well-known developer of the Kruptos program. Highly recommend keeping your files encrypted in a safe vault for future usage.
A neat piece of program that is highly recommended !

I have been using Kruptos2 for years and it has served my purposes well. However, GV goes beyond what Kruptos2 would do. I especially like the folder aspect instead of dealing with just one file at a time. I am also very used to windows and enjoy the drag and drop a great deal. I would endorse this program to any one who is interested in protecting files through a strong encryption.

My needs are simple and few, but I have used Kruptos and its portable cousin for years as a simple encryption tool for certain files. This new tool is clearly well-designed and thought-out, and it offers faster and more flexible access and management of files with the addition of being able to create encrypted folders. Unlike Kruptos, files are transferred to the GV “folder” residing in the application, rather than remaining as encrypted files in regular Windows folders. All encrypted files therefore remain hidden in GV until you open the application with your password.
The download and installation of GV was quick and easy. The interface is much more like Windows Explorer, allowing creation of folders and addition of files using, respectively, an icon and right-click in the desired GV folder. (GV’s folder structure uses a reveal/hide triangle by the folder name for subfolders, so make sure to click on it to see subfolders if you don’t see them; at first I ended up creating four without seeing any of them.)
It’s a nice feature of the offerings that one can choose from three levels of feature sets depending on needs, from simple personal versions to business team collaboration and file audit.

I have been a long-time user of Kruptos 2 software by the same author. I love K2 and I knew this was going to be a great product as well! The download and install was quick, easy, and full-proof. If you are familiar with Windows explorer, then this should be easy to use for you too. I was impressed by the speed when opening encrypted files such as Word and Excel files. I also love the drag and drop interface; this make securing your files easy as can be. So far, no glitched with the software. I am really impressed with the simple layout and overall concept of GhostVolt. Thanks for the great security products!

Having been a user of Kruptos 2 Go to secure my info on the move for years so was interested in update to a trusted product.
Easy to use, with all the functionality to make securing your info easy and and if you use windows explorer you'll be right at home.

One thing i would like to see soon would be cross platform access to my encrypted files... Laptop and iPhone.

The instructions are simple to follow, the main window is very comfortable, and it is very easy to create and move folders and files into and out of the repository. This is actually a great little encryption tool. Installation was smooth as anything and it looks like a really professional interface with everything working smoothly. I didn't have to read any instructions as the programme works well to guide you and is very intuitive. The vault you create is like using explorer and it also has a great preview function which makes finding the right document easy. Sharing encrypted files is a doddle too and is where this tool really shines in my opinion. The recipient has easy access to a reader which doesn't require installation and files can easily be locked and unlocked. All in all, I've been very happy with this encryption tool and would highly recommend it.

I installed GhostVolt and its repository, completed my account information, and took the GhostVolt tour. As advertised, the GhostVolt interface is similar to using Microsoft File Explorer. Adding and deleting folders and files was easy and their encryption completed quickly and successfully. Tags and Comments are helpful features to add to files. Thank you, GhostVolt!
