Should be called ScamMe!

Wish I'd read these other reviews before getting involved with this crooked company!

Purchase a gift card and after their "generous" 7 day warranty period, if the balance mysteriously disappears, guess what? You're out of luck! They turn their purchase of a fraudulent card, from their seller, into YOUR problem.

Legitimate companies offer much longer warranty periods and oftentimes guarantee your purchase even after that. But not ScamMe! There you're rolling the dice. I STRONGLY recommend against doing business with them. If you do buy one of their cards, use it right away! And you can always dispute the charge through your credit card company which is how I finally got my money back.

And now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Happy shopping!

Selling zero balance cards did not refund me even when filed same day

I purchased tens of giftcards from many vendors but then I purchased a DSW gift card for $50 but when I went to spend it it had zero balance. In addition to the embarrassment in front of people in store. I filed with giftme for a refund for over 10 days now and all they said " we are looking into this" I will never use them again.

This is a followup to my initial …

This is a followup to my initial review. Five days after purchase, all of my Starbucks gift cards were zeroed out. Starbucks told me that the original payment for the cards didn't go through. It appears to me that this was obviously intentional by the original buyer.

After emailing giftme, I received a response at 1:03 am central time. Interestingly, they weren't concerned that their gift cards bounced or that I had a bad experience. Instead, they tried to scold me, they lied, and they gave indirect threats. They didn't even ask any questions to try to get more information to solve the issue. Credit card company already gave me a temporary chargeback.

BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM GIFTME

I loved the App until I had a problem and was threatened by them. Do not buy from this company! I thought I was buying a Panera gift card for 25% but got one for 16% off. I emailed them and said that is not what I ordered. They said we can not issue a refund when a gift card is good. I replied back and let them know within 30 seconds that what was advertised is not what was provided and I would have to dispute the charge if they didn't refund it. This is their response: Jack (giftme) May 26, 15:46 PDT We have deactivated your account and this will be referred to the fraud department for disputing and doing charge backs on gift cards that have a full balance. We will refer this to the local police. You agreed to the terms.

Fake Website and Application

I purchased a gift card from them. The gift card had no value. On contacting the customer care multiple times I still have not heard back from them for almost 3 days now. My credit card company provided me with their number which goes to their voicemail. Finally had to dispute the charge.

This company is owned by a Russian …

This company is owned by a Russian group out of California. They do not answer their phones nor reply to their emails. The amount of personal identification they require is enormous: They demand a photo of the front and back side of your credit card, which reveals the CVS code next to the signature. They demand to know what your private home street address even though you have already provided them with your credit card billing address. I am reporting them to Homeland Security. I have seen other foreigners who sell gift cards at a loss to acquire personal information and to gain a high customer feedback in the short run. There are several of them who sell $1 Amazon Gift Cards on the internet, such as eBay, for 75 cents (a 25 cent loss) in order to obtain positive feedback before exploiting customers for bigger gains. The game is they "pay" 25 cents per customer for positive feedback.

Be warned

Be warned - I purchased 4 Amazon gift cards and gave them all of my credit card information (with card pictures). 4 days later all gift cards stated that they had already been used. The only way to contact is by email or help on the app so of course you won't get an immediate reply. I received a response that they had issued a refund (even though I was requesting a reissue of the same value cards at the same discount), however I have yet to see the refund to my credit card. I doubt I will be hearing from them again. If you dare to purchase gift cards from them, use immediately!

Worst customer service EVER!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! I purchased my second Amazon gift card from them, first one worked great. Went to redeem the second within 2 minutes of receiving it and Amazon said it had already been redeemed to a different account. Emailed customer service with screen shots of my experience and they responded back saying
"The Amazon Gift Cards we have are solid cards. The cards are verified before they are sent to you and we make sure that it has the full balance. Your account is currently under investigation."

INVESTIGATION?!? Really?! I replied back twice and never got another response. I decided to email Amazon asking for information about when the card was redeemed to provide more proof it wasn't me who used the card. Amazon replied back that they were sorry I was having issues and would credit my account. Never once expected that!!!

+1billion stars for Amazon!!

I would never use Giftme again if you paid me!

Bad Customer Service

Wow, what started out as a great experience turned sour when I needed assistance with one of my purchases.

I bought several gift cards with no problem. Then I had an issue with an order. First, I received a few emails saying they were working on it. After a week I received complete silence! No response at all.

Refund promised, but never issued.

I purchased two cards for Einstein Bagels on the GiftMe app, and it turned out that you can only use them at corporate locations (good luck finding which are corporate and which are franchised since they look visually identical : )). There was NO mention of this condition in their app during purchase.

I contacted customer service and they indicated that an refund would be issued to my credit card. It never was, forcing me to dispute the charge and being made whole that way.

Unfortunate, but please beware.
