Was great I did most of the stuff over the phone. It was fast. It was easy. It was clear there was no run around. They said they would pay me a certain amount and they showed me they did. What they said they were gonna do which is good in my book.

They are Trash. The reviews on their website are Trash. I had a vehicle that Carmax offered me $9500 for and Givemethevin.com offered me $200. Don’t waste your time.

Submitted vehicle info for an offer. They responded with a fair offer. The agent who had been fairly prompt with replies and such, suddenly wouldn’t respond to any messages. I don’t know any legit business which suddenly ghosts potential clients. I ended up submitting the vehicle info to Carvana and within 2 hours I had a check in hand.

I was working with Ryan from Give Me the VIN. We negotiated a price on my car, Ryan confirmed and accepted the deal on my car. I sent Ryan all of the requested documents and told me his manager would get the paperwork started. He told me where to take the car & the title and I could pickup a check. Ryan then changed the delivery location and wanted me to pay for a condition report of the car. I told him I didn't want to pay for a condition report so he backed out of the deal. I had already provided Ryan with 10 pictures of the car and the car has no damage to it. Ryan waisted a lot of my time. I feel it's extremely bad business to make a deal with a customer then back out of the deal.

Received an offer from givemethevin.com and an identical offer from another company. I asked givemethevin when they could get my car and never heard back from them. I accepted the other offer and told givemethevin. I got an email from the company owner who accused me of being dishonest. I explained to him that he had me confused with another customer and that I had done exactly what I should have done. I never heard back from the owner nor did I get an apology for calling me dishonest. I will never do business with this company.

BEWARE!! Absolutely ridiculous offer. They advertise they give a better price than other places, but they offered a price junk yards would offer. I realize I'm bias because I like my car, but when Carmax and a dealer offered $1500 to buy it, but show me the vin offered a only $500, I couldn't help but laugh. I would not use this service without checking with other places because you'll definitely make more money. This place seems to prey on the desperate. BEWARE!!

Company scammed me told they would pay 100 if they couldnt beat my other quotes,i have two vslud quotes,one was 3000 higher,and another 5000 higher im going to report them to the authorities,and sue them.

UPDATE,THEY DID IN FACT MAKE GOOD ON THE CLAIM,I RECIEVED A CHECK FOR 100,I DID A REVIEW AT THAT TIME,AND DONT KNOW WHY MY PREVIOUS REVIEW IS STILL POSTED HERE!!!

They seemed professional when I first contacted them and gave me an offer that beat my carmax offer so I wanted to go with them. However when they sent someone to do the last inspection, pick up the car and write the check. Things went south. They told me that they couldn't take the car for what they offered because it had more damage than what I reported which was a complete lie. They said that the bumper was falling off and wouldn't even match or beat the offer that carmax gave although it says they will beat carmax's offer on their website . I don't know if it was because we were older women and thought they could get away with it or if their business model just plays good cop bad cop. I ended up not selling to them because they wouldn't even match carmax's offer. I'm also supposed to get $100 for trying them according to their website but I know they won't do it as they also said they wouldn't even beat carmax's offer. I don't understand why they would think someone would go with a significantly lower offer or if the mobile inspector just didn't want to do his job that day. Reading other reviews, it seems like they do this for the $250 they charge you if you don't go with their offer. SELLER BEWARE. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM GIVEMETHEVIN. DO NOT CALL OR TRY TO SELL YOUR CAR TO THEM UNTIL YOU HAVE AN UNEXPIRED CARMAX QUOTE IN HAND SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN REALLY GET BEFORE THEY TRY TO GET SLIMY WITH YOU.

I've worked with givemethevin in the past and used to have positive experiences. However, in recent times, they have declined significantly in service. They don't respond to emails or text messages, and it seems like they purposely delay their response so that your vehicle value will diminish. In my most recent case, they let the rival offer expire in order to avoid paying out their $100 "promise." Don't waste your time with them; just use a dealership or an alternate service to get your business done.

In the FAQs you will find this: Q: “Why is there a $250 breakup/unwind acceptance on a purchase order to buy my car?
“A: This ONLY applies when a seller has not been honest. We take you at your word when providing information about your vehicle, and once we strike our deal, we incur many expenses in keeping our end of it. We believe people generally keep their agreements, and know you would understand that we experience losses in the event you suddenly change your mind after accepting our deal.”

This is NOT truthful. I was honest with them with all aspects of the process. Unfortunately, the day before my appointment we experienced a death in our immediate family that flipped everything on its head. I texted them and shared this information and canceled the appointment more than 24hrs before it was scheduled. Almost immediately I was sent the following response from them:

No concern or even regret to learn of the situation. Their focus was solely on getting the $250.00. I think this says a lot about the people you are dealing with. I was always honest with them from the start. I certainly will not return to them to sell my vehicle once we get through unfortunate loss in our family. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. Just sell it yourself…you will come out ahead.

I submitted my information on a 2020 Toyota Tundra. The responded with a price range that started above $30,000.00. I indicated that I wanted to sell my vehicle and would like an offer. They issued an offer for $27,000.00 for the truck ($2,000.00 below CarMax offer).
I let them know that their offer was far below the values of the truck and I was looking for a more serious offer.
They never responded with information or another offer.
They continue to ask if the vehicle is for sale but hey do not follow through on what their site promises.
I strongly recommend that you do not use this company.

Extremely let down by GetMeTheVin. I was looking to sell my sports car and was quoted a good price. However, after submitting all the required documents and waiting for over a month, they suddenly backed out of the deal, citing issues with their inventory management. This not only cost me time but also a better deal that I had foregone expecting a smooth transaction with them. Their customer service was unhelpful and indifferent to my situation.

After lots of researching and receiving offers from many car buying websites, we went with GMTV here in Tampa FL. Their offer was solid, the highest one, and then when I countered, they met me in the middle! I drove the car to their Clearwater location, Eric came outside, checked out the car and handed me a check. I deposited the check and it cleared the next business day.

To give you an idea of the difference in pricing for this vehicle, Vroom offered $1100. A local car dealership offered $1800 and GMTV’s final offer was $3250.

My daughter in law sold her car to them 2 days later in Charlotte NC and again, after sorting through lots of other offers, GMTV was the highest offer and the easiest experience.

You can’t go wrong with GMTV. Do your research though, offers are based on lots of different factors. Educate yourself and you’ll get the best offer 🙂

False advertising! They promise to beat carmax’s offer or give you $100. They lowballed me on their initial offer. So I asked for the $100. They replied asking for a copy of the offer from Carmax, which I provided. Three times. They then decided to completely stop responding. I will be filing a complaint with my state’s AG for their false advertising.
Don’t waste your time with these scumbags.
