i liked the software overall but…

i liked the software overall but enabling&disbabling firewall or just switching modes takes like hours/never finishes gets hung, everything gets blocked, app/pc restart no settings are echanged and the shitshow starts again, i had a premium sub but i will not renew anymore. (this issue persist since many years, sometimes more or less worse)

Very disappointing refund experience.

Very disappointing refund experience.

My GlassWire Premium Personal Plan renewed on April 26, 2026. I requested a refund on June 4, 2026, but GlassWire refused because their refund guarantee is only 14 days.

I asked them to consider at least a partial refund for the unused remaining period of the yearly subscription, but they refused. In my opinion, this is an unfair and customer-unfriendly policy for subscription renewals.

Customers should know that if more than 14 days have passed, GlassWire may keep the full yearly payment, even if you no longer use the service and most of the subscription period remains unused.

I do not recommend GlassWire Premium because of this refund policy and the way subscription renewals are handled.

Almost impossible to cancel

Getting the subscription is very easy. Canceling it, you wil counter lots of obstacles. Only way to cancel your subscription is by getting in contact with their customer service. And guess what they reply in a way that it still remains a puzzle. No transparency at all, never ever would use their services again.

Provides no easy way to cancel

Provides no easy way to cancel, I emailed them to cancel and they charged me for another year of service ($50+ USD) which I really can't afford right now. No response to my additional email so I'm probably going to have to fight this via my credit card company.

Fraud. Would not honor the subscription terms.

I had to reinstall the app after just paying for a renewal. It would not automatically upgrade. It wanted a registration number. I ask for support on what to do. Throughout a couple of weeks, they sent me through a series of hoops, each requiring a task I needed to complete. Yet nothing worked. They said they cannot access my account for privacy reasons, and I had to do the admin work for them. Support can't access an account? By the 5th attempt, I was begging them to give me a registration number and a final resolution. They entirely rebuffed me, asking for more things to do. I got it. They were expecting me to buy a new registration number! I told them I would send a negative review and report them if they did not resolve this. They closed my account and subscription, keeping the money I had just paid for the renewal. I cannot use it at all now. I suggest avoiding this fraudulent company.

Never touch it!

For three years, I've been paying for useless software. I can't get a refund or remove my credit card information. Neither Cleverbridge nor GlassWire helps, stating they can't find any payments with the details provided.

Didn't show 200GB of downloads.

It seemed a great way to gauge network usage, until I installed about 200GB of Steam games in one go and noticed that it hadn't registered in the app at all. If such a huge chunk of data didn't register, I can't know for sure if it misses something else, and so I simply cannot trust the app to provide accurate traffic statistics.

GlassWire is the most efficient network…

GlassWire is the most efficient network monitoring software I have seen on the market. I have never had to deal with customer support because it works flawlessly without being resource-intensive. You can view real-time network traffic, and a reliable log of inbound and outbound connections on the local network or the Internet is provided, with the ability to block connections instantly. The price is reasonable, and the management console is well-secured.

Tried this for a year

Tried this for a year, software doesn't add very much. You're better off with open source tools. Canceling your subscription is hidden under a tiny button. Very dodgy company would avoid this one.

Way to go tool for bandwidth monitoring

I’ve been using GlassWire for a few months now, and it’s become one of my go-to tools for managing my network. Initially, I was just looking for a way to monitor my bandwidth, but GlassWire surprised me with how much more it offered.

One time, I noticed my internet slowing down for no apparent reason. When I checked GlassWire, I immediately saw that a random application was eating up my bandwidth without my knowledge. Thanks to the app's real-time traffic monitoring and clear interface, I was able to quickly block it using the built-in firewall feature. That incident alone saved me from a lot of hassle, and it made me appreciate how much control GlassWire gives over my network.

Since then, I’ve felt more secure knowing I can instantly spot and handle anything suspicious. For anyone who’s looking for a simple yet powerful way to keep their network safe, I’d highly recommend giving GlassWire a try!

Overcharging and transparency concerns

Prior to payment, the total amount shown to be charged was €30,5, not a cent more. When proceeding to a payment via PayPal, instead of the usual single-time charge, the merchant asked for a recurring payment agreement, which did not disclose the amount or amounts charged. Upon my agreement, I was charged additional €7,32 tax without my permission.

Reading a few other user reviews here, I was also alerted that, according to GlassWire's own policy, they disclose our information to third parties, which poses a significant privacy concerns, especially given that we're all here exactly for privacy.

Absolutely not recommended.

Always pay with PayPal, guys!

Update: Several days after opening a dispute on PayPal, a company representative reached out to me outside of PayPal's resolution center, and asked me to retract the dispute in order for them to issue the refund. This is not only misleading (after all, disputes were made exactly for this purpose), but could have left me uncovered if they chose not to issue the now voluntary refund after all, since closed disputes cannot be reopened. Watch out.

Serious stability issues

I am a long term commercial user of GlassWire on Windows 10 and 11. Over the years more and more stability issues appeared. Currently the app crashes multiple times a day.

Support was contacted multiple times but obviously has not interest to solve the issues.

The firewall is not worth the money anymore.

I recently encountered serious issues…

I recently encountered serious issues with the GLASSWIRE software I purchased. Activation fails, support is slow to respond, and the update link results in a 404 error. If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, please share your information here. Potential buyers should be cautious.

I am seeking a refund from the seller, but it might be unlikely.

I regret not reading individual reviews before purchasing. From my experience and other reviewers' feedback, it is clear that the company behind GLASSWIRE disregards its customers.

P.S.

After several interactions with the vendor, a refund was processed. However, the support explanations were incorrect, and the experience was terrible. I will never purchase from them again.

Really good firewall, BUT

Really good firewall. But a lot of data are collected about users and can be given this with a 3rd party."We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary""We may share your personal information with any member of our group" So, installing this program that can see all online traffic and connected device, and returns it for monitoring to their own server? Actually, it could be a spyware collecting sensitive data.
-If you can disclose any information to third parties it means, you gathering it!
Otherwise you cannot disclose. The idea of firewall is to BLOCK and analyze our own traffic, not to let collect sensitive data to someone else from our own network. That is the point!
Good luck.
