GLG provides many opportunities to allow you to use your expertise to help clients understand issues and challenges that they face on a daily basis

GLG provides many opportunities to interface with clients around the world. Their staff identifies many projects and connects you with the GLG platform when they need SMEs to help guide a client along. The GLG staff work closely with you to keep you informed on project status and updates. The GLG platform is easy to use and provides you with the opportunity to accept or decline projects based on your expertise.

GLG is a Scam

I finally cancelled my GLG membership today. This organization has become a complete scam. They ask you to fill out information on projects so they can poach information from you. On top of that, they lowball you on your hourly consulting rate. Avoid these con artists at all costs.

Great Consultation Platform to Interact with Clients

The platform works well and provides a direct link to support clients.
Although the platform works well as a peer to reach clients, the quality of the calls has been decreasing. It must be an issue with part of the European connections. I have no problems having calls with clients in Japan or South Korea, but I face tremendous problems with the audio of calls to Italy, Germany, or UK. Sometimes US can also be challenging. I tried different computers and mobiles, as well as different internet providers to make sure the issue is not on my side.

GLG: My experience has been positive for the most part.

I have had several opportunities to work with the GLG Clients and their staff. It has always been a positive experience with minor hiccups. The clients that I have worked with and assisted with questions regarding my industry and experience have been respectful and time sensitive. Payments have been timely.
I have had issues with filling out the surveys which I felt is "too much information" if the call is not going to be set up and completed. I feel that the surveys needs to concentrate on simply the consultants experience and why they should be chosen to do the call. Do not use the survey to extract data for clients who are only going to read the survey and walk away from the purpose of the calls.

GLG has high criteria for experst…

GLG maintains high standards when selecting experts. Initially, I received over 10 "not the right fit" emails and more than 10 questionnaires with similar feedback. However, once I focused solely on my core expertise in Azure Infrastructure, I secured four calls. The GLG system is impressively streamlined to connect clients with the best experts. Their team has been accommodating with scheduling, and payments are processed efficiently. They even track session overages and ensure compensation for any extra time.
