We purchased a used 2014 Swift Challenger 570se caravan in February 2025 and collected in April 2025 with a 15 month guarantee. Initially everything was fine, had it for 13 months and managed to use it 4 times, away on holiday and the front centre panoramic window has rain droplets inside and is misted between the window, called Glossop Caravans and it is "not covered under warranty", had it priced and apparently its a common problem with swift caravans (obviously we wasnt told this), and surprise "it will cost us £2000 to have it replaced. My warranty runs out in 15 days and they will not help, ive taken the rubber bungs out the window (as advised)and it is still misted and with heavy rain last night the rain droplets! Secondly had it serviced by a VAT registered and approved engineer in March and 20% damp was detected in rear toilet wall and floor, took it back to Glossop caravans and told its fine they wont do anything unless its over 20%. Point I'm making is i always thought Glossop caravans looked after their customers, shame as its the second caravan I've had off them, just be careful if you buy a Swift caravan with panoramic window, Google it and you will see they are prone to failing but they dont tell you this.Disappointed in Glossop caravans feels like "we have had your money attitude so get on with it" so Glossop caravans i do hope you read this, what are you going to do about the window , nothing? Aftersales service from this company is so poor.
Just picked up our swift voyager motorhome and the welcome we got from will was amazing he showed us everything on the motorhome and found out a lot that we didn't know ! He was such a nice man and very funny 😁 from the sales team to picking it up it was a pleasure to buy from here hassle free .

**not sure what you mean by thanking us for our time on the phone, no one has rang us? **
Brilliant sales team, but the aftercare is shockingly poor.
Two years after purchase of our brand new caravan, we are still dealing with unresolved issues – and every time our caravan goes into their service centre, it comes back with additional problems.
Not once have we even received an apology for the repeated inconvenience, wasted journeys, or the consistently substandard workmanship.
The workshop manager is particularly disappointing: rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to accept any responsibility for the ongoing faults created by his own team. The contrast between the excellent sales experience and the appalling aftercare is staggering.
The only genuinely helpful employee appears to be Adam at the service centre. He has been supportive every time we’ve dropped off or collected the van, and it’s clear he’s doing his best to pick up the pieces left by his colleagues and management team. We genuinely feel sorry for him, as he is professional, polite, and tries to help despite the ongoing problems that keep arising after every visit.
We would strongly advise anyone considering using their service department to think twice. The frustration simply isn’t worth it.
Updated review:
We were advised that outstanding decals were due to be delivered week commencing 9th February 2026, however since then we have received complete radio silence. Despite Anita promising updates, it is no surprise that we have received no updates, no ETA, and no communication whatsoever despite the work remaining incomplete - this is usually the way it goes when dealing with Anita who is dismissive and lacks any aftercare - we have always had to chase updates and the caravan was with their service centre from September 2025 - February 2026. This review is simply an honest and up-to-date reflection of the service we have continually received.

I bought a swift caravan in 2019 from glossop caravan and had nothing but trouble with it. It has now got a leak with water running down the walls when it rains. I have been intouch and because I have not had it serviced in there sevice center they will not touch it. So if you are thinking of buying a swift caravan I would think again because I will not buy another swift caravan. This so called guarantee against water ingress is a con.

We purchased our Elddis 554 from Glossop caravans after visiting the NEC Caravan show! Our original order was for a Elddis 550, but after seeing the 554 at another dealer, we decided the 554 is more fitting for us. We did the long drive to Glossop and were immediately welcomed by Claire and the team, whom I have to say we wonderful. A big thank you must go to Eddie for his patience with us. Also a big thank you to George who showed us around our caravan in every detail, your knowledge is amazing, what a wonderful young man, a real credit to Glossop. The shop was very well stocked with everything that you could possibly need, as well as attentive and friendly staff. The overnight stay on site was very welcomed as it gave us a great opportunity to test everything before we left. We only had a very minor detail that our ATC was faulty just as we were getting ready to leave - I say this only because George, and the workshop team were fantastic in getting the van back into the workshop to make the fix, nothing felt like it was too much trouble. The whole experience left us feeling really valued as customers. I would certainly recommend these guys if you are in the market to change your van. thank you everyone.

Had a caravan serviced at Glossip caravan service center. On the day they found issues, 2 cracks in the seal but refused to fix it saying I had to take caravan away and rebook in for in 2 months time. When i got the caravan back to storage and went inside there were 2 big, dirty footprints on the bright pink bedsheet, on the bottom bunkbed belonging to my 3 year old daughter.
When I booked initially I asked them to wash the outside, clean out the ceiling skylight mesh, tighten a lock on a storage locker, replace jockey wheel lock and to fix 2 blinds.
They replace jockey wheel and tightened the lock but didn't do any of the other jobs I'd requested. When i picked up i wasn't impressed at all and thought it was a wasted day since so many jobs still needed doing.
A week later I got a call saying they forgot to bill me for the jockey wheel lock and fitting (15mins labour). I paid over the phone expecting a £23 bill. The invoice arrived Billing me £69.41.
Thinking something was wrong I call to ask why it was so much more and was told that the rest was for tightening a nut and looking at the blinds to tell me they wouldn't fix them.
I questioned the fact that they have charged me for blinds they have done nothing to and was told I'm lucky they didn't charge me a hours labour for them to not do anything to the blinds.
I'm new to caravan but as a car owner I've never sent my car in for a service or MOT and been told there are issues but they wont fix them for months. I've never been charge for asking something to be fixed and them not doing anything other than send through a bill for nothing.
Useless company and feels a lot like a scam with some of the charges they sent.
Will hopefully be caravanning for years to come but don't think I'll use these again, rather pay someone who will actually do the work.

Great service from the Glossop Caravans Warranty team on our 2025 Coachman VIP 565. A small number of issues (eg Wall Board Tape, Window Blind) have been handled very promptly and has been a very efficient service. The staff kept us fully informed on the progress of the claims with regular email updates. Once again a great company to get warranty issues resolved.

Shame that the salesman when part exchanging our caravan for a newer one told me to tick NO in the box that said damp after I told him that there was damp in the van. Had a quote on my Lunar van against a Swift van we were purchasing, waited nearly 3 weeks to exchange vans , arrived today thinking it was all a straightforward exchange of caravan’s ! Not at all ! Told I would have to pay an extra £3,000 as they have found damp in my old van ! Absolutely fuming , the deal was called off and the salesman who did the deal didn’t even come to see us while we were there. Apparently this is a regular occurrence I have since found out from people in the know.Furthermore it was let slipped that they don’t normally deal with Lunar caravans these days.
Collected my caravan on Friday. There was an issue with the motor mover due to some confusion but within minutes Ant,Dan and the workshop were sorting it out. The dispatch team were exceptional and the customer service was second to none. As I have frequently purchased from Glossop Caravans I can speak from experience. Also a big thanks to Claire for looking after us and to Adam at the service center.
Many thanks again and very much appreciated.
Ps. Love the new caravan.

Very disappointing experience with Glossop Caravans.
We purchased a Swift Celebration SE caravan in July 2023, and since then it has suffered from a wide range of faults, including:
• Microwave failure on first use
• External leg bending during normal use
• Cupboard doors repeatedly needing adjustment
• Sofa cushion tearing due to a manufacturing fault
• Heating system failure (resulting in a cancelled holiday)
• Sofa bed runners failing
• Front door lock failure (causing another cancelled holiday)
• Bathroom tap becoming disconnected
• Kitchen tap no longer supplying water
• Shower door not functioning correctly
• External decals peeling
• Discolouration to the rear panel
• Structural stress fractures to the rear of the caravan
While some of these issues have been repaired, the sheer number and frequency of faults clearly demonstrate a lack of quality and durability.
In particular, structural stress fractures should not occur on a caravan of this age, and this raises serious concerns about overall build quality.
What is most frustrating is the response from Glossop Caravans. Rather than acknowledging the overall pattern of faults, each issue is treated in isolation and considered “resolved”, despite the continued disruption, cancelled holidays, and complete loss of confidence in the caravan.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and durable. Based on our experience, this caravan has failed to meet those standards.
Aftersales support has been poor, and no fair or reasonable resolution has been offered.
I would not recommend based on our experience.

Visited Glossop Caravans at the weekend.. great site, friendly staff, lots of stock, superb WC facilities (better than CAMC new blocks). However due to my wife being an electric wheelchair user we found that the whole site has no disabled parking, the accessible toilets were at the far end of site behind two rows of caravans, with a non-functional ramp difficult for electric wheelchair users (and extremely dangerous), the toilet door doesn’t open wide enough for the E/Chair and there in no turning circle, so a reverse exit back to the first row of vehicle is required. Also upon viewing the large stock of caravans for sale.. there isn’t room to get a wheelchair between the vehicles, which is a real shame as my wife who can only walk a few steps became fatigued after only looking at 6 potential purchases. Come on Glossip caravanning is for DDA folks too!!!

Bought an Elddis 155 in 2015.Over the 10 years I have taken the motorhome back over 30 times mainly relating to damp issues many in the same area of the rear wall and sides.
Fixed using Elddis instructions. These clearly do not stop further damp issues. At no time did I receive an apology from Glossop Caravans or compensation for the repeated visits .Elddis, the company simply claim their warranty is there to fix the damp problems not to solve the issue.A repair is only guaranteed for 12 months just shows how poor the repair is.

Bought a caravan in November used it for 1st time in March.no heating , shelf missing in fridge and window sliding lock not working . After many messages and being told countless times I would recieve a telephone call it never happened .I've now paid a local engineer in angellsey to rectify problems which he did in 24 hrs..greatly disappointed with after sales but they already have had my money and aren't bothered in the slightest

Bought and collected our caravan today! Had the pleasure of dealing with Claire who was hilarious charming and an all round gorgeous human! She knows her onions which made everything smooth and faultless! She handed us over to Dave who showed us the ins and outs of the van! Lovely lad knows his stuff very knowledgeable! Then awning lads all lovely and efficient! Big shout out to "ginge" (sorry dont know his name) who went and collected our awning for us put it in the van and stacked it safely for me lovely young man 😊 all the staff are gorgeous and a credit to your business not forgetting the lovely lady in the shop! We managed to get home without ending up upside down in a ditch so an all round good day 🥰

Great selection of caravans, staff are welcoming with no pressure sales, our sale went through smoothly. Collected it on the day and had a good handover, then off we went. If you have plans of siting your new £32,000 caravan, then my advice would be site it local to Glossop caravans because they will not come to you if you have an issue with your new van, you'll have to pack everything away and take it to them.
No mobile service team and they wont help unless you take your van to them. Shocking after sales service.

Ordered on-line Awning Annex, ground sheet and carpet. Annex and Carpet arrived but no ground sheet, Tried phoning but get cut off going to Sales. Warehouse, doesn't answer the phone. Left a message on the website but still no response. Hopefully this review will cause a response to my missing ground sheet.
What a wonderful company to purchase a caravan from. Beginning from the start to finish they couldn't of done enough for us. The lovely George who on our day of collecting the caravan showed us how to work everything. He was patient and considerate, ensuring we knew how to use everything in and around the caravan. The caravan was spotless and the staff really friendly around the site. I can highly recommend this caravan company and we will look forward to taking our caravan back for the annual service and for future caravan purchases.
