Scammers. Sent me a used item, I asked for a refund. They offered 70% IF it was in original wrapping - despite sending me a used item! So I have to loose 30% of what I paid AND return it to Australia at my own expense?!
Updating my previous post. Cost was £33, return postage to Oz was £13 & they then refunded £26 as they deducted £7 “ re wrapping fee” Whole experience therefore cost me £20.. I’ve put it down to experience as I’m fairly sure I researched a Co on Trustpilot before buying but it must have had a similar name 🙈
If I could give no stars I would. This company robs you of your money. I bought a calm carry and an IPL hair remover.
I had already contacted them to tell them to cancel the order as it took so long to arrive. Then when it did arrive, it didn't help me calm or sleep as per the intention of the purchase!!! The company patronise you, tell you you're doing it wrong and when you insist on returning they drop the - at your own cost bomb PLUS 20% 'restock fee?!' So much for no hassle returns and satisfaction guarantee!!!!!
They are simply preying on people who are reaching for something to help with anxiety and stress levels.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
This is a complete scam! The company deserves absolutely no stars, and to be reported further (if only I knew to who!)
I bought this for my autistic son who struggles with anxiety and poor sleep. I wanted to try it before giving it to him and I’m so glad I did. The CalmCarry is actually really painful to use and I’m still in pain from my hand, up my arm and into my shoulder, just from using it for 15 mins yesterday on the lowest setting.
You believe you have the security of ‘hassle-free returns’ and ‘24/7 customer service’ but that is completely false. You email customer service and they advise you to return it to Australia! Nothing you see before you purchase suggests these products are shipped from abroad and would therefore need to be returned there. Even if you do decide to pay for returns then they charge a 20% restock fee! I spent £50 and it would cost nearly £25 to return it and then £10 in a few!
I did email customer service again to raise these issues and I’m yet to hear back from them.
It’s only after you purchase that you get an email with a list of conditions and circumstances that mean you should avoid using the devices. You buy without any knowledge of these things and without a 14 day cool off period, although you don’t realise that!
The reviews on their social media accounts are heavily curated and anything negative or critical is removed by the company, giving a completely false impression of the product.
This is marketed to parents of anxious children who don’t sleep (manipulating parents who are sleep deprived and want to help there kids!) and anxious adults/people with insomnia etc - I really wouldn’t dare give my child this. It’s really painful and gives out electric shocks.
I feel like their return policy and ‘customer service’ really relies on its target audience as being anxious and therefore find fighting for their rights too triggering and difficult.
You get a ‘free e-book’, however this won’t open because it gets caught in my security filters and is marked as ‘suspicious’!
As well as all of this, your purchase will also sign you up to multiple spam emails on a daily basis!
There are huge red flags all over this, but I didn’t see them until the purchase had been made. I wish I could report this to an official authority because I genuinely believe this product could do physical harm to people, on top of the fact that they scam you out of your money.
Absolutely avoid at all costs. I wish I’d looked on Trustpilot before parting with my money. I’ve raised a dispute via PayPal to see if I can recoup any of my money but I don’t hold out much hope.
Glowco state a 100 day returns policy. The Calm Carry actually hurts. Feels like painful electric shocks. My daughter hated it. The phone number given states "Incorrect number" so clearly a scam company. No customer service. The returns are to be sent to Australia. Clearly so people in the UK don't bother returning. I expect people of Australia have to return it to the UK. Even if you paid the postage to Aus, you can't send it signed for as its to a PO Box address so the company could easily say it never arrived. Then they take off a percentage if the cellophane had been removed. Obviously you have to remove this to reach the product. Then they say they reserve the right to refund less if the product is damaged. You could send it back in perfect condition and they could 'claim' it's damaged. I emailed stating I wanted a full refund but they just refer you to their ridiculous, scamming returns policy. I wish this company to be investigated and taken down. I want my £41 refund. That's money I can not afford to lose. I was hoping to help my child and prepared to pay to help her but it's not money I have spare. I will be reporting this company further.
If I could give no stars I would. This company robs you of your money. I bought two devices, neither of them worked properly from the start and then they both stopped working after a couple of days. The company patronise you, tell you you're doing it wrong and then tell you they will charge you a 20% "restocking" fee, despite the fact they are selling faulty devices. It cost me £21 to return the devices to Australia (which they keep very well hidden on the website, you assume it's a UK company) and I have had to constantly chase them for any responses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THE PRODUCT IS RUBBISH AND THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WON'T GET IT BACK.
The company doesn’t disclose it is posting from overseas and that it takes 2.5-3 weeks to arrive. They fob you off with generic emails that don’t give you any information. Also now so annoyed that I was just going to return the item but I see they charge a restocking fee + postage. If they were just upfront about how long it was going to take it would save a huge amount of issues
I ordered one, I hated the sensation, it feels like a mild electric shock. I appreciate that some others may like it. However-The item actually comes from Australia, that fact is not made at all clear when ordering, so you will have to pay the extremely expensive postage from the UK or other country you may buy from to return it to AUSTRALIA In my case £13.50! Secondly despite providing proof of posting I still haven’t received a refund, and the company don’t even bother to answer messages anymore. Also in the small print you find out they only refund 60-80% of the purchase, surely that’s not even legal? Avoid this dreadful company at all cost. I’m currently going through my bank to get the payment transaction reversed, and will also have to claim through Royal Mail for the postage costs for the alleged lost item, which is rubbish anyway. They’ve got it, it’s just a total rip off. Total nightmare experience.
Ok, so I fell for the hype, backed up by company stating 120 day money back guarantee. True, but turns out you only a partial refund. you lose 30% if you've opened the box...plus you get to pay for return shipping, so it works out you'd only get a few £'s back if you are in the UK. I should have looked more carefully and am kicking myself now.
Customer service is mediocre at best.
As for the product - what was I thinking. you have to clasp it in your hand (not a natural position when trying to sleep), it irritates the skin and the prickling sensation is beyond annoying. Oh, and the light is on the whole time so if you are trying to sleep you really do need to keep your hand away from your face. Squeeze too tightly and you feel like you are being zapped. Save your money people.
I think that this could have been an amazing product if it worked. I didn’t have any issues with delivery but I ordered over the Xmas period so did not expect it to arrive particularly quickly.i was so excited to try this out and so was my child. The calm carry is uncomfortable to hold and provides rhythmic electric shocks at different levels of your choosing. It was not a pleasant, relaxing or calming experience and did not work at all for my child or for me. It’s really disappointing to think that this company really does prey on the desperation of parents who just want to help their anxious/hyperactive/neurodivergent children feel calm and sleep. Regretfully a complete waste of money and is not a device I would recommend.
I attempted to cancel the order the day after it was placed, no reply to my initial email. Two days later I was advised it had already shipped. The almost a week later I get a dispatch confirmation. I emailed again only to be told to refuse the delivery. Awful customer service and I am now thinking this is just going to be money completely down the drain after reading the other reviews. Steer clear!
Hello all!
I have ordered 2 products on 16th of November. 23 days have passed and I have not received any order.
I have called the customer service after 2 weeks and explained them my situation (order 113945 & 113946) requesting a refund. On the website it is mentioned that delivery is done in 2-4 days not 4 weeks time. They told me that a refund cannot be processed my order is arriving in 2-3 days. 10 days passed since and I have not received anything.
This is such a shame, scam, name it - I cannot believe this is going on with items ordered from UK, I received orders from China in 5-7 days and I am not happy with Glow Co’s customer service approach. Deliveries shouldn’t last a month, please clarify this on the website!
I received the products after 25 days, asked for refund- they are refunding the products reducing the 30% tax for the plastic foil on the package and you have to post the products on your cost- so maybe I will receive half of the money back. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Bad customer service!
I found it quite helpful for my anxiety
Please do not buy from this company !
They are targeting people with sleep or anxiety disorders with this device which did not work for us and frankly I can’t see how it would work for anyone.
They promise a full money back guarantee but don’t tell you that although the product is posted to you from Feltham in England
they insist you post it back to AUSTRALIA at your own cost !
Ordered the CalmCarry device thinking it was worth a try to help my kids calm down and go to sleep faster. They upsold me to 3 devices by offering steep discounts on the 2nd & 3rd device. I figured "why not?" given that there is a money back guarantee.
Received the product from overseas in a week or so and opened one and realized it was not for us. Contacted their customer service to return and they were polite, and gave me an Australian address to return to.
I shipped it USPS 1st class (the most reasonably priced option) and it cost more than what the refund will be. This seems designed to not actually honor their "guarantee" as most people just won't bother. I shipped it anyway, because I don't want to keep the product, but who knows if I'll get the refund. This is a bad faith way to operate and I do NOT recommend dealing with this company.
Terrible delivery process. Slow response time on inquiries. Item ships from somewhere overseas.
