Very negative experience with GLS

Very negative experience with GLS . Fragile equipment delivered in unacceptable condition.

Several boxes were delivered opened and the 'DO NOT STACK' instructions were completely ignored. Due to poor handling and stacking in the van,one of the items arrived damaged. Total lack of professionalism regarding fragile goods. Formal complaint filed.

Absolutely unacceptable experience

I paid over €180 for my order and waited more than two weeks, only for the delivery to be completely mishandled by GLS.

I stayed home the entire day waiting for the package (not everyone can work from home), and the ONE moment I leave to go to the gym, I get a notification saying it has been delivered.

Except… it hasn’t.

No concierge, no neighbors received anything, nothing in sight. So where is my package?!

GLS is honestly one of the worst delivery services in Portugal, especially in Lisbon. It’s unacceptable to partner with such unreliable carriers for orders of this value.

I’m extremely frustrated and still waiting for a proper solution or refund.

Avoid if you don’t want to deal with this kind of situation.

These people run a website not an actual courier company... Just a front for gig workers

All it seems to be is gig drivers who simply can't be bothered to deliver a parcel if it is too complicated and would rather mark the parcel recipient as absent and return it to base and get on with the next parcel to earn more money. This is a significant failing of the system. I tried the complaints system with no result and phoning customer service but there is no real customer service , all there is is an AI system that just redirects you to the tracking . It is impossible to speak to a real person. I am in hospital long-term and I have been marked as absent three times so far.

They are the worst delivery service company and even 1 star is more for them. I would gave them 0 star if there was an option for a 0 star. Don’t trust the customers service.

They send me an information about my parcel delivery that I will receive my parcel on 2nd Jan then they changed it to 5th Jan. But it’s 15th Jan and still I haven’t received my parcel. And when I check the shipment status they are rotating the same information at GLS location, at delivery agency, at transit to the destination.

This is perhaps the worse transport…

This is perhaps the worse transport company I have ever encountered. From the 3rd to the 5th of November, the package traveled from France, and crossed Spain into Portugal. Then this horrible company picks up the package and literally sits on it until the deadline of the delivery (15th) leaving the package in one of their shops over 100km away from my home. Literally 10 days now their package just sitting there. And then they send a message to Amazon saying "we couldn't deliver your package it's at our store please come pick it up, which is completely false since my address always works so they can obviously deliver it). Not only that, they don't contact you, they don't even give the proper tracking number to Amazon that works with their robot phone options, and when you try to email them, they read the emails and don't answer, repeatedly (yes, I know they read my emails because I use an email tracker) and they don't answer the phone. Their phone only has robot options and doesn't actually work with the tracking numbers they provide to Amazon, so they're 100% unreachable. Only today, on the 15th (already over the deadline since today was the last day in the deadline) do they decide to hire a driver to finally take the package. And how do I know this? Not through them, but through an outside party tracking site. Never hire this transport company. Edit: It's now the 16th and I discovered they returned the package to the seller without any proper reason. Never hire GLS for anything!

Delivered package from the Porto region…

Delivered package from the Porto region to my home in a small village near Leiria in less than 24 hours. Excellent email notifications warning me of arrival time. Super service over all. Will gladly use again.
