Pros: Cars are okay and of course it's convenient to have them nearby. Cons: If you're a minute late returning, you effectively have to pay for an additional two hours, even if no one is booked af... See more

Terrible customer service - 3 times I’ve raised issues nothing has been resolved - they don’t even bother to get back to you. They don’t read your initial request and ask for the same information again and again and then don’t reply

I drove over a really bad pothole and got a flat tyre. The GoGet number was answered pretty much straight away and the staff member was really helpful. They arranged an RACV callout, and the RACV van arrived within 20 minutes. I guess it might take longer at busy times. I got to my destination and I wasn't even late! This was excellent service.

I've been using Goget for a couple of months now after selling my car and I've been ejoying it heaps. I've definitely saved money and the gogets around me have generally been available when I want to use them. When cars have been dirty i've reported it and the next time i've used them they've been cleaned. Wierdly I find it helpful because when deciding whether to drive or not I think about whether it is better to use public transport or walk, helps put a price on something which previously was just a sunk cost of living. When i've had to go and do a big shop i've booked bigger vehicles and everything has worked very nicely for me. The app could do with a few updates here and there, but if you're a little patient and don't see this as a taxi everything is easy breezy in my experience.

Don't even bother using their services. There is always a problem on every booking. I have to call back to the customer services on literally every booking. Nothing is resolve. They don't take any responsibility. The drivers have to take care of the problems such as no fuel, couldn't unlock the car, not able to park the car at designated car spot.

This is a great service! The part that won me over the most was the App! Very easy to use. Booking was simple, I had to extend my use by an hour and was easy to do through the App. Very convenient.

I have used GoGet for over 5 years now and I am so disappointed with how much the service has declined. System is really hard to use, and there seems to be a lot of issues with the app. The customer service staff are very rude. They seem to try to make money by fining customers unfairly.
You seem to keep trying to add fines even when they are not warranted and the service you provide is appalling. I booked a GoGet car for one hour from 230-330 today. First of all the car was absolutely filthy. There was pet hair all through the car and stains and garbage. At 310, 20 minutes before the end of the booking, I received an sms from GoGet advising me that someone had booked the car after my booking. I was at Ikea, in the middle of completing a return and I thought I could make it back in time. However there was an issue doing a refund to my card so I was delayed. I called GoGet at 3:32 PM to ask them to contact the other person that booked the car and extend my booking. The person I spoke to was extremely rude. When I tried to explain the situation he kept speaking over me. GoGet allows you to extend the booking within 30 minutes after the end of your booking. GoGet said they couldn't extend the booking. There was no fine generated yet but they said that I should call back after the fine is generated to remove it. When I called back I spoke to the same person and he refused to remove it because he said I had received a fine in the past. I don't get how I deserve this fine??? I called at the end of my booking to extend because I couldn't make it back in time, I have never been fined for this before as you are allowed to extend within 30 minutes of the end of your booking. I am really disgusted with the decline in the level of service with your company. I have had dozens of experiences like this. I have raised this issue with Fair Trading NSW as I am not going to get fined when I didn't do anything wrong.

As a first time Go Get user, it was all that it was cracked up to be. Finding the car, unlocking it, getting started and locking it again were as easy as I was led to believe.
The fact that you get a quote at the time of booking and are notified after the trip what the cost was is excellent.
After a few more goes, I hope to part company with my little used car.

Such an easy hassle free van rental experience!

This is my second time using goget and it never disappoints. Simple method of booking, excellent and regular communication prior to pick up and ease of use. Good value for money and handy options to extend the booking. Only things is that the van could have been cleaner inside and outside. However must be so busy that there is no down time!

The worst car rental you can be with!
Will take not a single responsibility of anything and keep charging you again and again even after you have cancelled the account!

I had made a mistake by parking in a tow away zone on Sunday which was a legal parking as the actual was occupied by someone else but the next day it got impounded. So, I had to pay 489AUD to get it back and then again I had to pay 192 AUD to city of Melbourne for illegal parking. This was all fine. So, I decided to stop using GoGet and closed my account. Now, even after closing my account GoGet has charged 25 AUD twice for no reasons. Customer care is saying it has been charged for Admin processing which doesn't make any sense. They are looting people in the name of Admin activities. I don't know how many time I'll be charged in future for no reason. Disgusting service!!!

Convenience & cost.
My own car recently in dock for a repair that ran on a bit and ended up taking three days instead of one.
Having a GoGet car as back-up a short walk away that could be booked and picked up almost immediately is worth gold. The nearest car-hire depot is a more than hour away (by foot & bus) and nowhere near as flexible.

Good team service.
I contacted the team to check the damage log and the service agent was helpful and very friendly. The whole process was fast and simple.

Whether it was through the GoGet online website or on my iPhone App, I found their Booking system user-friendly and easy to lock in a day/time(s) for a vehicle. My experience was convenient and accessible when I needed a car as well as locating one near my residence - which saved me time and money. Highly recommend.

So this is clearly a company that has NOT evolved well with the times and the shift to AI-generated attempts at “service”.
What happened, GoGet? When I arrived in Sydney 15 years ago without a car, this service was ingenious and effective. Innovative in its inception, superb in execution. I was singing this company’s praises and recommending to everyone.
Now, in 2023 I find myself without a car and the best word I can find to describe GoGet is “useless”. The cars are over-priced, dirty and unsafe. And the service is abominable; quite possibly the most user-unfriendly app I’ve ever come across (painfully slow and absolutely NEVER providing solutions to issues, just endless FAQs) and a simply hopeless AI-bot run “service” masquerading as “Contact Us”.
Three days ago, I found myself in a fundamentally unsafe GoGet vehicle on the motorway and I am STILL trying to file a complaint about this – and get my report acknowledged. Meanwhile, I am being sent repeated invoices for this unsafe experience and my account is suspended.
You need to go back to 2011, GoGet. Delete your current “system” and re-design from the bottom up. What you have just now simply doesn’t work.

I have been an adamant supporter of this car-share scheme and an active member for several years. Recently however I received a $120 parking penalty notice which subsequently devolved into an extraordinary experience bordering on the Kafka-esque!
Goget claimed we had not returned the vehicle to its allocated parking-space and had incurred a parking-penalty notice. However what Goget failed to mention (until I raised the issue having seen the penalty photos) was that Goget's valet service had attended the vehicle some 14 hours after we returned the vehicle and 22 hours before a penalty was issued. The vehicle had been moved 1 car length forward from where we left it and had very obviously been cleaned. Both of which assertions were vehemently denied by Goget's Member Service Adivisor(s). What followed was 2 months of aggravation, delay and obfuscation, where I was passed from one Member Service Adivisor to another (total 3) and wasted hours of my time arguing with Goget and NSW Transport to first appeal and then extend the penalty time, until Goget finally provided the valet-logbook which confirmed my first assertion - that the vehicle had been interfered with in the interim.
The result of all this is that Goget ultimately paid the penalty (didn't refund the $25 'adminstration fee' though) at the last minute, which I only realised when NSW Transport sent a message confirming payment.
My take-away lesson from this saga and advice to all members is to document (photo) the state and location of the vehicle when returned...if you intend to remain a member.

We sold a car and before buying a new one decided to try GoGet. It is much more convenient than owning a car! There is a vehicle just 4 min away from our place. It is very easy to use and it is much cheaper for us than owning
