Ordered a pair of bifocals to match my new prescription from opticians, they arrived in around 10 days so not bad but would be nice if sooner.
I went for a basic frame which said extra large and which looked huge on G4U's online 'try them on' using your phones camera but when they arrived were really very standard sized. For the price they're amazing, my only gripe is that being bifocal I really wanted larger lenses are I constantly notice the blurry area when looking at distant objects and find that I get headaches after a while.
I've ordered some that are just for distance now and 3 sets with all coatings will still cost less than 1 pair would've from the opticians.

Not for me really. My prescription is a bit unusual and so I should have gone to a high street optician to discuss the way my glasses would have turned out. You get what you pay for here I think - they are cheap.

Supplied from overseas. Not UK supplied goods.
What isn't made clear at any stage (it's buried in the small print) is that this is essentially a drop ship operation. They appear to be a UK business, you therefore rightly expect the products to be sourced and dispatched from the UK.
No, instead, they send your order overseas for fulfillment then bulk ship sometimes weeks later your order to the UK, the orders are then sent out after sorting,checking and labelling up.
1. At no point does it clearly state that manufacturing is overseas.
2. At no point does it state extended delivery times must be expected.
From a transparency and ethical standpoint, if that matters to you, avoid. There are plenty online spectacle outlets that operate wholly within the UK this simplified lead times, transport, carbon footprint and returns.
Not impressed with this business model and the subterfuge involved.
