We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka using Goko Travels. We had an expert guide that was with us every part of our trip. George was able to tailor a trip specific to our needs and wants. We saw the beautiful country and felt safe and cared for every step of the way. I highly recommend George and his team!

Overall the trip was amazing. I only gave George a couple of weeks to get a 2 week trip planned for me and he did amazing. I really enjoyed speaking with him regarding my trip because it gave me a chance to let him know what I wanted and for him to offer suggestions of things I didn’t know about. I would recommend working with George for all your planning needs.

My guide for the first 8or so days was fantastic. Tini made my trip so memorable. It was like I was traveling with one of my best friends. Ultimately, all she wanted was for me to enjoy myself and not worry about a thing. She made sure to explain about everything. Her knowledge was never ending and more importantly her passion for her culture really shown through. What I appreciate most is the little things. She would bring me traditional cakes and treats in the morning to try from her family or even sharing a blessing ritual moment together. When I was hospitalized due to some unforeseen illness she stuck by me the entire time until she knew I was comfortable and well taken care of. She even went out and bought me food to hold me over while there and went to my hotel to get me anything I needed. They truly don’t make people like her anymore. Amazing human being and even better guide. If you can request her.

Ardy was my driver the entire time I was with my guide and he was the best. Always ready and there for Tini and I with whatever we requested. He went above and beyond to make sure we were good and also offered some great recommendations for restaurants to try as well. Any place I wanted to stop at like a grocery store, etc he was accommodating.
As far as hotels, they were all great just unfortunately far from most areas providing restaurants and shopping but a quick ride on the back of a scooter is no big deal when downloading the app.

Activities were immaculate. If you can do a ritual purification ceremony with Pak Nyoman, do it. You truly feel a weight lifted off your shoulders. He has a gift and it was a very private event that I cannot begin to put into words.
Whitewater rafting and atv tours were awesome as well. My guide, Candy, for whitewater rafting was fun and knowledgeable. He pointed things out during our rafting and took pictures for me. Such a sweet soul and made the adventure so much more fun.
Because of George I was able to fit so much in such a short time but never felt overwhelmed or exhausted. He planned every detail and made this adventure that much more enjoyable. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing except what time to wake up. Even when he found out I was in the hospital he checked on me.

My local Indonesia contact was also a great source for recommendations for my free time. Additionally, she made sure I was well taken care of.

I cannot speak highly enough about the services offered. While I noticed price transparency was a top complaint I did have that worry myself. After getting at least a breakdown from George (you cannot get pricing for everything due to contractual agreements with luxury services like this- yes this is common in the industry) and experiencing everything in person the price is well worth it. My estimated costs were not much more than what I ended up paying but when you consider everything that goes on behind the scene like placing the guide & driver in a hotel as well or paying for all parking and entrance fees it all makes sense. Don’t let the lack of transparency dissuade you from using this service. George stayed within my max budget I had set.

I will definitely use again.

Goko's travel specialist (George Game who is the founder of Goko Travels) was a great resource in assisting us plan a trip to Thailand. We decided "last minute" (February) to plan a trip to Thailand in March and although it was a very short timeline, the travel specialist jumped into action and created several possible itineraries. We had a call so he could better understand our goals and with only a few tweaks, we signed off on a 12-day plan and off we went.

George is very personable and has experience living and traveling in the region, so he could speak first-hand on some of the recommendations. He was very thorough in helping us think through all the details; ie., packing, transportation, guides, drivers, money exchange, battery packs, passports, etc., etc. We did have a few questions while we were in Thailand and he was responsive to our queries.

The local guides and drivers in Thailand were all very good and we totally appreciated having that level of support, which was a first for us. It set a new level of travel for my husband and me. We would definitely work with Gok for future travel.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?
The trip to the elephant sanctuary was amazing. The guide was so attentive and supportive. His English was much better than we expected and he enjoyed telling us the history of the Karen Hill Tribe and how they lived in the area working in support of the elephants and in growing rice. The experience of seeing the animals up close, feeding them, and being with them for a day was our trip highlight.

All three of the resorts were excellent and we would highly recommend them. The overnight homestay was an adventure and afforded us another opportunity to interface with the elephants.

The cooking class at a cooking school in Chiang Mai was also fun and educational. It was fast-paced and kept us actively involved with a hands-on approach.

The Muay Thai fight at the Rajadamnern Stadium was terrific. Not only was it fun, the ongoing entertainment kept us engaged. There was not a bad seat in the stadium, but our seats in the "presidential box" were well positioned.

The food tour by e-tuk-tuk was also a highlight. We took a side trip to the flower market and ended the evening at the most amazing spot of the Bangkok trip—a restaurant in Bangkok. The views of the temples at night were spectacular!

Regarding our dining reservations, highlights included the dinner and show at a hotel in Bangkok, dinner with views at a rooftop restaurant in Bangkok, and, best of all, dinner at a restaurant in Bangkok. Our hotel in Chiang Mai also recommended a local restaurant with live jazz, which ended up being the highlight meal of our stay there.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?
Given a redo, we would want to have more time hanging out at the resorts to take advantage of the services.

We wish we had more time in Bangkok to explore Chinatown and also ICONSIAM. The canal tour in the market area was a waste of time, given there was nothing to see other than a narrow waterway that had a lot of debris.

We were not mentally prepared to deal with the crowds and the process of island-hopping by speedboat in Krabi. The trip in Krabi to the Tiger Temple, hot springs, and Crystal Pool was not worth the day. The beach club in Krabi was annoyingly loud and anything but "laid-back" and "relaxing," as the marketing description detailed. There was a fire show and the smoke and smell of fuel permeated the entire area. The music was deafening. I did check out the reviews prior to the trip and the ratings were 4.9 out of 5. I think before sunset it has a different vibe.

Our trip to Thailand was full of fun, new experiences and pretty seamless!
Right from our first phone call with George, we felt comfortable and confident he would provide a fantastic itinerary for us .. because he listened to our requests! Nothing was too much trouble and every time we reached out, George responded right away. We thought of different hotel choices in Bangkok over George’s recommendations, but quickly realized his suggestions made sense for a fully immersive experience. Couldn’t have been happier with the hotel: staff were amazing. In fact all the hotels were amazing!
The guides we were provided with were excellent, a couple were a little hard to understand sometimes, but were knowledgeable, on time and fun.
The only issue we had was at Thailand’s international airport. That place is crazy. Finding the arrival person and the hotel transfer bus for our last night’s stay was a little tricky. We had our instructions, but the airport is huge and signage not clear, especially if you’ve never been before.
We would definitely use George and GoKo again, without hesitation!

From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned—great hotels, seamless tours, and experiences we never would have found on our own. We did have a couple of minor hiccups with transfers along the way, but they were handled quickly and professionally, which really showed their dedication and care.

Because of their hard work, we were able to relax, explore, and truly enjoy every moment of our trip. George planned a great trip for us to Vietnam and Cambodia. All the logistics were seamless and we felt like we really got to see the highlights of the countries. Excellent hotels, great food, amazing nature and bustling cities.

Great working with George and his team. Transportation from place to place was pretty smooth overall when his team was involved. They were communicative and helpful before and during the trip. We had to cancel a portion of our Thailand trip due to weather and reroute to Bangkok and they were helpful with negotiating a partial refund from the hotel. Would use again!

We had a fabulous time in Thailand thanks to George and his team. This was a dream trip for us. We stayed at amazing hotels, saw beautiful sights and enjoyed delicious food in a variety of eateries. My wife and I spoke with a lot of travel agencies while planning our honeymoon to Bali and Thailand, but from our very first conversation with George, it was clear that we would be using Goko as our travel agent. George at GOKO was amazing in helping us plan our holiday in Thailand. We were quite last minute booking 4 weeks away but George planned it so well. The actual holiday was amazing, the guides GoKo use were fantastic all our days out were great and George was always contactable. We can’t wait to book our next trip with him!

A friend referred us to Goko after having booked an incredible honeymoon, so we jumped into planning with George with confidence. He spoke with me directly about our traveling goals and preferences, and then put together options that were inline with our conversation. The entire booking process was easy and hassle-free. We booked a 3 1/2 week trip through 3 countries in SE Asia, and Goko took care of all of the details - all intra/inter country flights, all transportation, hotel bookings and local guides. We hit Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. The majority of our time was spent in Thailand, traversing from Chiang Mai all the way down to Koh Samui. The pacing was perfectly planned for our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 teens), and the excursions delivered on showing us parts of countries that we would not have otherwise been able to see.

In Bangkok, our guide Nai was incredibly thoughtful about each day of excursions, taking care of all our needs and checking in w/us frequently to ensure we were truly enjoying ourselves. He was kind and genuinely enjoyed showing us around - he was knowledgeable and eager to share the surrounding culture with us. Highly recommend Nai!

We absolutely loved Chiang Mai - we enjoyed a few days at an elephant sanctuary (the Karen tribe overnight was 1000 times better than our first night at Thai Orchid and shouldn't be missed), then came down into the city for a few days - the Saturday Night Market in Chiang Mai is amazing and we had the absolute best street food here.

We then headed down south to take in Surat Thani, Koh Tao and Koh Samui. Amazing experiences in all of these places! I had selected Cape Shark Pool Villas as our hotel in Koh Tao, and it was incredibly beautiful but a bit farther from the beach than I had realized. In a future trip, I would definitely look to stay on the beach in Koh Tao.

After wrapping a week of beach time (which was absolutely amazing), we headed to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our hotel in Cambodia was my absolute favorite - the Golden Temple Retreat. If I'm lucky, I will get to visit again and pro tip, I will request a room on the first floor - they open to the pool and have swings and beds poolside on the ground level.

Our guide in Cambodia was Seavathdy - Dee for short. We can not express how tremendous Dee is - she was the absolute highlight of our trip. Dee is absolutely one of the most beautiful people I've ever met and you feel her heart when you're on excursions with her. Her family and her history is from the Angkor Wat area, and the way she is able to weave her own personal stories into every place we visited - it just elevated our whole visit to an entirely new level. Ask for Dee in Siem Reap!

We had a few minor hiccups along the way (hotel not being able to find our reservation despite our confirmation, for example), but reaching out to Goko and the designated emergency contacts had those hurdles quickly addressed and resolved. There wasn't a single major issue, and all parts of our trip were so well planned and looked after that I've been recommending Goko to friends and strangers alike on a daily basis.

I have previously always planned my own trips, so it was hard for me to release the reigns and trust someone else. But I didn't have any experience with this part of the world, and Goko took incredibly good care of us. I will absolutely be using them again in future for places I've not yet explored on my own, and I will continue to highly recommend them to our friends when they are planning their travel to Asia! You can trust Goko to take care of your travel needs!

We used GoKo Travels on our recent trip to Vietnam. We are a family of six and this was our first trip to Vietnam.

From the moment George began working with us it was an incredible experience. I booked a trip to Murter, Croatia this summer, where I was planning to propose to my then girlfriend. These guys managed to find a campsite, that was so private, right on the coast, overlooking the sunset over the Adriatic. I don’t know how they find these places but it is just hit after hit.

I won’t be booking another holiday with anyone that isn’t Goko from now on.
