So happy with my kitchen! Goldcrest did an amazing job matching my new units to the existing ones. They also installed a fridge freezer housing, cupboards, and a worktop — everything blends perfectly. Highly recommend!

The new disabled ramp outside my house…

The new disabled ramp outside my house has made a big difference to accessibility. Before it was installed, getting in and out was difficult, especially with mobility issues. The ramp is wide enough for a wheelchair and feels stable and secure to use.

The addition of a handrail is especially helpful, providing extra support and making it much safer to use, The surface has good grip, which is reassuring in wet weather, and the slope is manageable for everyday use.

Overall, the ramp has greatly improved independence and safety when entering and leaving the house. It’s a very positive addition and makes daily life much easier.

As a tradesman would not do work for this company

As a tradesman who attended their job immediately still waiting after 31 days for payment. Had to jump through hoops to get invoice accepted was not told in first instance they took 30 days to pay which hasnt happened anyway. Rang 3 times and told payment would be in bank next day this never happened and when you ring you get fobbed off with I wasnt who you spoke to before and I dont know what was said. I definitely will not be doing any more emergency call outs for them

Our 30-day payment terms were clearly communicated and agreed prior to any works being undertaken. These terms are standard and form part of our onboarding process for all contractors.

We would also like to address your comments regarding communication. At no point were you intentionally provided with incorrect information. Our team has made every effort to assist and respond to your queries based on the information available at the time.

In addition, we must note that during several calls to our office, your conduct towards staff was not acceptable. Our team should be able to carry out their roles without being subjected to raised voices or aggressive behaviour.

AVOID!

Unfortunately, Goldcrest made the task of getting my late father's home ready for market more time-consuming, more expensive and more upsetting than it needed to be. I hired them to repair damage done by a leak from the apartment above to the ceilings in the bedroom and the bathroom, and to replace the damaged carpets in those rooms. The quote was vague so I emailed them to ask if their work would cover all areas and they replied saying yes. I emailed them again, saying I would hire them on the understanding that the carpets in the bedroom and the bathroom would be replaced. They replied that they would take on the work. Their carpet fitter then obviously let them down and he only replaced the bedroom carpet. Goldcrest should have rearranged the replacement of the bathroom carpet or offered a discount on their invoice, but instead they said the original quote didn't include the bathroom carpet and demanded full payment. They knew the apartment was in a retirement complex so maybe they assumed they were dealing with a vulnerable, elderly client who they could treat this way. I forwarded the e-mail exchanges I had with them where they said their repairs would cover all areas and where I said I would only hire them if they replaced the bathroom carpet, but in response, they simply threatened legal action if I didn’t pay the full amount. Do yourself a favour and avoid them at all costs.

EDIT TO RESPOND TO GOLDCREST’S REPLY: This doubling-down and gaslighting is exactly what Goldcrest subjected me to whenever I tried to reason with them. To take their points in turn: 1) I sought clarity on two separate occasions after reviewing their unclear quote. I emailed, “Can you confirm that the repairs would be done to the bedroom, the bathroom and the in-built wardrobe as the quote doesn’t make it clear?” They replied, “Our quotation does include all areas.” Then I emailed, saying I would hire them “for the replacement of the carpets, on the understanding that the carpets will be replaced in the bedroom … and the bathroom.” They replied, “This is great news,” and accepted the work. If they never intended to replace the bathroom carpet, they should NOT have accepted the work after I said that was a condition for me hiring them. 2) Why would a carpet-fitter, who apparently thought he was only hired to replace a bedroom carpet, randomly take it upon himself to clean a client’s bathroom carpet?! Goldcrest’s story makes NO SENSE. I didn’t hire them to clean carpets, I hired them to replace them. And btw, the carpet did not look like it had been cleaned at all, and I had to hire a very good local carpet-cleaning company afterwards to do the job properly. To reiterate, this is a retirement complex, and it concerns me that Goldcrest think they can routinely hoodwink vulnerable, elderly clients like this. DO NOT REWARD THEM WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

Before any work was carried out, a full and clearly itemised quotation was provided outlining the scope of works agreed. This quotation did not include the replacement of the bathroom carpet. We always encourage clients to review quotations carefully and raise any questions prior to approval, which in this case was given before works commenced.

Regarding the carpet installation, the bedroom carpet replacement was completed as specified in the agreed scope. While we understand there may have been an expectation around the bathroom carpet, this was not part of the contracted works and therefore was not included in the final invoice.

As a gesture of goodwill, we did arrange for a thorough professional clean of the existing bathroom carpet, at no additional cost, in an effort to improve its condition.

We take all feedback seriously and aim to be transparent and fair in all of our dealings. We regret that this situation has caused frustration, particularly given the circumstances, but we stand by the fact that the works completed and invoiced were in line with the agreed quotation.

Best in the game!

I just want to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Goldcrest Property Services Limited for all their hard work over the past year. It’s not often you come across a company that’s so reliable, professional, and genuinely cares about the work they do, but Goldcrest absolutely delivers.

No job is ever too big or too small, and they always get things sorted quickly and to a really high standard. Whether it’s urgent repairs or general maintenance, I know I can count on them to turn up on time, do a great job, and keep me updated along the way. It makes such a difference knowing there’s a team I can trust to keep everything running smoothly.

It’s been a pleasure working with them, and I really appreciate the effort they’ve put in all year. Looking forward to another year of hassle-free maintenance – thanks again, Goldcrest! Highly recommend!

A fantastic company

A fantastic company, with great staff who are professional, polite and always helpful. Goldcrest always do the work in the timescale they say and to a very high standard. I am a property manager for 17 sites and use Goldcrest for every aspect of work for all my sites. Would highly recommend.

I have worked with Goldcrest regularly…

I have worked with Goldcrest regularly for almost 2 years at a development in Leicester. This development is demanding due to the volume of leaks but Goldcrest are often chosen to do the remedial works and are quick to quote with little fuss.
