Poor Product and agressive customer service

Customer service is poor when asking for tracking details. When you purchase, they do not specify delivery time, nor does customer service know. Please see there aggressive response below.
Most couriers will give an approximate transit time, for example, 5-7 days, etc. In fact, most websites do this and quote approximate delivery times for worldwide locations. Nowhere did I say I wanted an EXACT delivery date.

The primary purpose of platforms like Trustpilot is to share experiences with others.

GoldenBeard, however, want you not to do this. If you're not happy, don't make it public; instead, contact them directly so others don't find out about their poor products, customer service and delivery. See their reply below, they will pay off those who have had bad experiences as long as they don’t tell others. Clearly, they have a process in place to refund those who are not happy, who don’t leave reviews.

This review was posted to save others like me the inconvenience of waiting for an unspecified time, only to get an inferior product, then having to reorder from elsewhere, resulting in weeks of wasted time.
Got product and nothing special, in fact, the smell is bad, and there are so many other products I could have bought.

Rather than using my experience to improve their service product, they would rather argue, which goes to show the attitude and mentality of the company; you have been warned.

A definition of an unreasonable customer is not someone who wants to know when they will receive a product and to ensure the product is of acceptable quality.

Likewise, they could have contacted me, apologised and offered a refund, and I would happily have removed this review.

The person who made the review has now updated it based on my answer and insists that the product is bad. If the product is bad, contact the manufacturer. Don't post it here to let the world know that you didn't like the smell; it's your problem, not ours. You must contact us when something is wrong, not after a review here. When you post a review here, this is how it works. And then, after contacting us and based on our customer service, you can come here and post it, whatever you want, not before.

Accept that you made a mistake, and this was not the right channel. Everyone makes mistakes; we can even forgive you. We are cool people and a better brand. With 10 years and more than 1 million happy customers using our products, we believe this is something about you, not about us. Sorry! If you want to get it solved, you already know what you have to do; we are here to educate you if needed.

We view this as an opportunity to explain what actually happened and to help others understand our approach.

Let’s begin. In business, there can be bad companies, and, unfortunately, unreasonable customers as well. This review is a clear example of the latter.

This customer placed an order, which our warehouse prepared and shipped promptly to the UK. A few days later, he contacted us with the message:

“When will I receive my order?”

That was the entire message — no greeting or context (a first red flag in communication etiquette). We replied within four minutes, politely thanking him for his purchase, confirming that the order had been shipped, and providing the tracking number once again.

Seven minutes later, he replied:

“Yes, but that does not give a delivery date or dates?”

We responded within a minute, explaining:

“As the delivery date approaches, the system will update automatically. If no delivery date appears, it means the courier has not yet provided that information.”

It’s important to clarify that we have the same tracking information as our customers. We are a company that makes beard products — not a shipping or logistics company. When a parcel is in transit to the UK, we cannot provide an exact delivery date because delays, customs checks, or courier issues may occur.

If a parcel is lost or damaged, of course, that is our responsibility, and we always act to resolve it. But we cannot provide information that even the courier does not yet have. Sometimes DHL (or other carriers) take time to update their tracking systems, which is entirely outside of our control.

Regarding the comment about the smell: we understand that not everyone likes every scent. A good customer usually contacts us directly to share feedback or request a refund. If this person had done so, we would have happily refunded the £18 and allowed them to keep the product. Instead, they chose to post here — which takes the same time but achieves nothing.

To anyone reading this review: if you ever receive a product that doesn’t meet your expectations, please just contact us. We are always happy to help, exchange, or refund. Writing a negative post without giving us the chance to resolve it helps no one.

After ten years of selling our products worldwide, one unfair review won’t damage our reputation — but we do think it’s important to clarify the facts.
