While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Dishonest Subscription Practices

The GolfStar courses are decent quality and the value – access to ~20 courses for the price of a membership at one club – is good. Worth noting that prices have increased steeply year on year.

The maintenance of the courses – especially towards the end of the season – is satisfactory, at best. Bunkers are impossible to play from. Pro shop offering is basic across the board. But you get what you pay for.

The reason for the poor review is that their subscription practices are dishonest. If you sign up for Autogiro (don't!) – you'll be renewed at a package/subscription of GolfStar's choosing. They will not refund nor reply to your emails explaining what you are now paying for.

The increased my monthly subscription by 50%, gave me no warning and have not responded to an email/call after a month of trying. Dishonest.
