: DANGEROUS PRODUCT CAUSED INJURY & ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOW-UP

I am writing this to warn potential buyers about a severe safety issue and subsequent appalling customer service from Gootium.

The Problem: On the first day of use, a sharp, defective metal component on the bag cut my hand deeply, resulting in three separate physical injuries (a deep cut to my palm and a cut to my index finger and a cut to my little finger). This product is genuinely dangerous.

The Failed Resolution:

The company initially offered an insufficient and frankly ridiculous $20 partial refund. I rejected this offer because it did not compensate for the injury and did not address the fact that the bag is unsafe and unusable.

They then agreed to send a replacement bag and acknowledged the defect. I requested appropriate compensation for the pain and trouble caused by the injury.

The Current Situation: Since that request three days ago, Gootium has completely ghosted the conversation. They have provided NO tracking information for the promised replacement bag and NO response regarding compensation for the injury caused by their safety-flawed product.

A company that manufactures a product capable of causing physical harm and then ignores the customer afterward is unacceptable. I caution everyone against purchasing from them until this product defect is addressed.

Unresponsive Customer Service

I loved my first Gootium bag so I bought another one. Unfortunately, the second never arrived and the company has yet to respond to my emails. Will not be buying from them again.

Product showing as delivered and it…

Product showing as delivered and it hasn't been, contacted the company and there has been no response. Every single time I've purchased from a Chinese company I have been scammed, this is a FACT. The website is clearly AI generated on inspection. These traders shouldn't be allowed, the UK need to seriously sort restrictions out on global sales and apply the same high level of trading standards to international companies to make them accountable for poor service and poor quality products. AVOID!

Absolutely the worst company ever

Update, as requested by Gootium: Gootium eventually refunded my money but would not take the bag back. I ended up finding it to a local school for distribution to a child in need.

Absolutely the worst company ever. SCAMMERS! After not meeting delivery expectations and not being able to provide delivery information I filled a credit card dispute. Gootium asked me to withdrawal the dispute and initiated a refund. I foolishly and in good faith withdrew the dispute when I saw the refund pending. Gootium then reversed the refund. Terrible scammers. Never ever do business with this company.
