Absolute scam

Absolute scam, spoke to these guys in january, then got an text message a month later to say they cant go ahead with the claim as their accountant no longer wants to work with them however just a few days ago got a letter from hmrc asking for me to do my tax returns which is weird because i have never been self employed at all, spoke to hmrc on the phone and they advised these guys have requested a refund of 2.5k, no contact what so ever from the refund company to say anything along the lines of we are continuing the claim or anything at all, just trying to steal money, that is absolutely vile. Lying through their rotten teeth scamming innocent people out of money, stay away it is not worth it. Also to add it started off as go refunds then got a call from sure refunds saying they work on their behalf as a sister company, scams after scams, stay away!

Don't be scammed into this

Don't be scammed into this. Everything they do, you can do yourself by phoning hmrc and it takes 10 minutes and they don't take a percentage from it. Very dodgy and what they estimate you'll receive is far from correct too

Fraudsters

This company were dealing with a tax claim for me. All i had to do was answer a number of questions on the phone and they said i was owed around £1400. HMRC then did a random audit on the claim and it turns out i wasnt eligble to claim half of the things this company said i was and my claim was declined. As soon as Go Refunds found out about the audit they immediately cut all ties with me and told me i was on my own. About a month later i received a text from them saying they couldnt proceed with any claim for existing or new customers and my personal details had all been removed from their records. I believe they have been found out making fraudulent claims and shut down. Because their claim altered my tax code for 1 month, i now owe HMRC money as paid less tax for 1 pay day. I went through a company called Sure Refunds who then outsourced to Go refunds, neither website now seems to work/exist.
