I ordered from Gourmet Woodland…

I ordered from Gourmet Woodland Mushrooms based on their stated 5 working day delivery time, but after two weeks my order still had not arrived.

On Monday 20 April, they apologised for the delay and assured me the order would be delivered within 48 hours. It is now a further four days later and the order STILL has not even been dispatched.

Delays can happen, but then failing to follow through on their own 48-hour assurance is not acceptable. Very disappointing service and poor communication.

Terrible customer service and downright…

Terrible customer service and downright rude. Order delayed multiple times then liquid culture syringes eventually arrived and one was contaminated. Was sent a replacement weeks later which was also contaminated! AVOID

Scam - conned me out of £70 no problem I have there address it’s on companies house if anyone wants it , I’ll get my £70 back one way another

Do not buy from this site

Do not buy from this site, could just be a scam site. I have ordered and received nothing except a confirmation email. No communications etc. the delivery was supposedly 10-15days it’s now been 20 days.

Unpleasant.

I ordered two mushrooms kits before Christmas (not expecting them to arrive by Christmas, they just looked fun), I was emailed about a week later saying that the owner would not be working until the end of January because they needed a holiday, I could have a refund or wait; I elected for the refund. I then received an email saying I could have them a week before the end of January instead - I said no and reiterated that I would like my refund. On the 29th of January I received a dispatch notification - I contacted immediately to say I didn't want them and to express my absolute disbelief at the level of incompetence. My money was refunded this time (over a month since the second request) with the lovely add on of some passive aggressive messages. Save yourself the hassle!

A very incompetent operation

A very incompetent operation. Both times I have ordered I have had to ask for a refund because they were sent to wrong place. Be v wary of ordering from this company, it is likely that the order will take a long time to produce and might not even arrive at your address in the end.

The most awful customer service I've ever had

The most awful customer service I've ever had online gourmet woodland mushrooms UK (gourmet mushrooms.co.uk)

So I've been wanting to get into cultivation of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. So much to the point where I have just purchased a 2×2 grow tent and all the whistles and bells, for a professional set up. I've been reading and researching extensively and decided to take the plunge in purchasing the substrate. I've been on gourmet mushrooms website several times and decided to choose them as I got to the checkout the 1st time with around 50kg of substrate the delivery price came to around £50. I mean I would never usually pay this much for a delivery but anyway. Since the substrate was pasturised it would save me precious time so decided that as I calculated how much spawn. I was buying from another vendor that I would actually need double the substrate which would be around 100kg, but as I went to check out there was no delivery price so I contacted gourmet woodland mushrooms.

And this is how it went and don't think I deserved to be met with this attitude.

(ME) HI when will you get the beech wood come back in stock and also my order is 97.00 but theres no delivery price?

(GWM) We have 2 bags in stock now.  Are you in the UK?  Thanks.

(ME)Hi yes I'm in the uk. I would also like to know what is the delivery price for 100kg I'm in London 

(GWM)We don't ship more that 20kg of beech wood sawdust per order - this is the max we can do.  You are asking for a pallet shipment at the moment we cannot offer this service.

(ME)I was asking overall price of weight with 2 bags of beechwood thanks.

The rudest online vendor I ever spoke to !

I haven't received my order for the last 25 days. I sent two emails asking for tracking number or delivery status but I haven't received an answer as well. I called the phone number provided and after seeing that the order was suppose to reach Bulgaria, the employee (Im guessing this is also the owner; One-man-show company) was very rude. He told me to wait for another 7 days, but that would mean that I won't be able to get my 30-day-refund. He knew that, he just tried to scam me. I was explaining the issue, he interrupted me few times asking me to listen to him. I did. Then I started talking, he again did not allow me to explain and told me he will refund me because he doesn't want to talk to me anymore.
I sent an official email asking for refund and I received an answer right away : "You have been refuned, check your email!!!!!"
This vendor is rude, unprofessional and he just wants to get the money, not to actually solve a problem of yours.

And this is the email I received after telling him I wrote a review : Whatever. You've got your money refunded so how can I be a scammer. You are a moron!
