Thumbs Up for GP Motorcycles!

I highly recommend GP Motorcycles in Grantham. I recently took my TRK 502 in for a service and the experience was seamless from start to finish. The staff are super approachable and even offered a demonstrator vehicle so I wasn't stranded while they worked.

They went above and beyond by fixing a persistent squeak I’d been dealing with for months. It’s great to find a mechanic you can trust to be thorough. If you’re looking for a new ride or a reliable service center, check these guys out. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

I booked in my Voge DS525X for its first service with GPMotorcycles as it was the nearest recommended service centre to me despite being 63 miles away. On arrival we were greeted in a warm and friendly manner. My bike was taken into the workshop and we left it with them. A couple of hours later I received a call to say the first service had been completed and was ready for collection. Once back at the premises I spoke to the workshop staff to see what had been done on the first service. To my surprise they were vague and told me that the oil filter hadn't been replaced but the engine oil had. I knew this was the case as I'd marked the oil filter prior to its first service. Despite my raising the issue of replacing it, I was told it wasn't required until the next service 12 months away. I duly paid for the service and headed home. Once home I contacted MotoGB to ascertain the requirements for the first service and they stated that the oil and oil filter require changing on the first service as per the service schedule. To rub salt into the wounds GPMotorcycles had charged me for a new oil filter on the hand written invoice. I rang GPMotorcycles and reiterated this and they agreed to change the oil and oil filter if I returned a couple of days later and refunded me for the oil filter that had NOT been fitted. I took the bike back to them and they did the rectification work as agreed but at no time did they offer recompense for the fuel or inconvenience. The reception we got was frosty to say the least. This is the first time we have used GPMotorcycles and from their poor customer service I doubt we'll be going back any time soon.

Very disappointed with the guarantee…and lack of support from the dealer.

Very disappointed with the guarantee support offered by GP motorcycles. Purchased a demonstrator Royal Enfield meteor 350 with 114 miles on the clock.
I took it back for its services as required under the guarantee. At around 1,900 miles I was surprised to find signs of oil on the right hand side front fork and on the lower fork leg. When I contacted the shop I was told that Enfield wouldn’t cover that under its 3 year guarantee as it’s a wear and tear ( consumable) item , same as tyres , chains etc. I pointed out that it must have been a faulty oil seal for it to fail at that mileage . Eventually they agreed to take a look. Because I travelled in on decent quality tarmac, the presence of oil was minimal. We normally ride the B roads.
So they refused to fix it. Since then the problem has got much worse ; also I have found blogs identifying several of the same model with that problem , now identified as a warranty issue by the factory. I contacted GP again passing on this information and asking GP to check with Enfield UK to clarify. That was in April, and I have heard nothing from them. I have been “stonewalled”
I will definitely not be buying from them in future and would warn others that if they have issues with their purchase , they will be without support. The 3 year guarantee, it seems , is only as good as the dealer. In this case , not much good ! The bike is still under guarantee: first mot is due in June, so I have had to get it fixed elsewhere.

I have never bought a bike long distance without seeing in the flesh and sitting on. I’m NOT trusting so it was a leap of faith for me.
My 2020 Kawasaki Z650 was delivered to the North Wales coast in spotless condition, almost completely flawless. Extra gunge on connectors for winter, the chain well coated up too. I’ve only managed a couple of hundred miles due to the crap weather but I’m delighted with my new baby.
I’d fully recommend this company. My old forces unit has reunions in Grantham so I might well pop along to say hello in the near future.
Cheers gang.

This is exactly what I look for in a motorcycle dealership. Friendly, helpful, not pushy, knowledgeable and clearly interested to help. The workshop is right next door to the sales office and the quality of the work is obvious. Never met them before but Elaine, Mark and Peter impressed me and I've given them my business.

Faulty bike, poor attitude from some staff.

Seemed OK at first but the new bike I bought had a fault which they failed to fix despite several attempts and, according to them, extensive testing. They didn't bother to look at the video I sent, at their request, of the fault.

I felt their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. I also asked them several times to update the service record on the online portal, which they had still failed to do a year after the first service.

Eventually they agreed to the refund, but the bike went back on sale later that same day it was returned so you can draw your own conclusion as to whether they managed to find and fix the fault in the space of a few hours, having failed to do so when they had the bike for days at a time previously.
