Fake new releases, old plugins

Every single product that I am have downloaded has a wrong release date.
It shows like it is recently updated and it never is, when I install it, the plugin is actually the older version.

My subscription is completely useless, not even one plugin was useful!

Complete scammer

Complete scammer, on his website it says the plugin is updated to the latest version. When I downloaded it it was a version from 1 year.

When I tried his support system he does not respond in 2 business days. Then I opened a dispute in PayPal and viola - he responded in just 15 mins just to say that he has fixed the issue but has revoked my access to his website until I close the case...

I am 100% sure that he has not fixed anything, just trying to make me close the case and take the money, so I escalated to PayPal.

EDIT: PayPal resolved the case in favour of GPLCrafter for some reason. They on the other hand have deleted my account with them and revoked access to the content I have paid for...

Great support! He has just scammed me with 119$

EDIT2: How. I tried to scam you since I have a payment for 119 bucks and you deleted my account on your website with the unupdated plugins????

Support was extremely slow and not helpful. Needed PayPal to obtain refund.

I purchased the FlyingPress plugin available on GPLCrafter on March 11. Within minutes of downloading the plugin, I installed it on my WordPress site and it gave a Fatal Error. I raised a support ticket with GPLCrafter less than 45 minutes after purchase; I requested a refund as the product page said the plugin would work and there was a "100% money-back guarantee." It took them 2 days to respond - the person said, "Hello, do you prefer a refund or two free products?" I again asked for a refund. No response from them... so I took the matter up with PayPal on March 17 via its dispute resolution system. GPLCrafter's reply on March 19 was "can you send the last picture again" even though the 6 files (screenshots of the Fatal Error message, our limited communication through the support ticket system, product page, and TOS page) I attached to the PayPal messaging system were all fine. So I uploaded the same 6 files on March 17 through the PayPal messaging system. Again, no reply from GPLCrafter. On March 23, I had enough, so I escalated the problem to a claim. Within hours, PayPal closed the case in my favor and gave me my refund. It was an extremely small amount of money but the seller was slow and seemed reluctant to provide the refund that was promised for a product that was totally non-functional. (By the way, on March 18, I bought the plugin directly from its developer - it installed and works great on my sites.) I don't usually leave reviews for products I buy, but my experience with GPLCrafter was exceptionally poor.

AKA pressdiscounter and maxxwp

UPDATE to my gplcrafter.com review.

(also posted with my maxxwp.com, aka pressdiscounter review:)

On THE SAME day, Trustpilot asked me to send documentation about my reviews for both gplcrafter and maxxwp. Which I was happy to do.

If I still had doubt the same scammer runs all these sites (as I alleged), they're gone now.

I assume they're now trying to get rid of honest 1star reviews and replace them with a plethora of strange-sounding 5 star reviews. But that's just speculation.

I'm wondering anyway if I should have done more than just post here. After all, many people will buy from the at least 3 sites this person has (probably more) and PAY for the links copied from publicly available "nulled" sites.

I suggest you check out more about this vendor on a site called babiato.com, but you find scam reports all over the web. That's where he got the links he sent me from.

PS: Regarding the response from the company (see review for maxxwp.com, identical case, most likely same seller):

The reason I won my PayPal dispute is
- I received links to a Mega.nz drive owned by someone else. The seller was too lazy to copy the stolen goods to his own drive. I have written testimonial of the real license owner and drive owner.
- This came to daylight because the seller could not update the plugins I purchased.
- The links he sent originally were pulled and copied from a hacked site, a site that offers "nulled" plugins. HUGE security risk.
- Seller sold products he doesn't own. He cannot know if someone has tampered the software. The claim "untouched" is wrong too.
- The seller falsely claims he offers a money-back guarantee. Even after all that above and their plugin was several versions behind (they couldn't update it because the real license holder hadn't posted the update on the "nulled" site yet), they refused. They have a "money-back guarantee" claim all over their site, but refused to refund for a stolen link to an outdated plugin they couldn't update.

However, that they own a license is the basis of the contract between gplcrafter.com and myself.

They also tried to shut down the PayPal case. Obviously, it's not about a few $$$, it's about helping others who will fall for the scam too.

Obviously, I can prove ALL of this. Therefore, Trustpilot verified my initial review and PayPal paid my money back, even though they rarely do that where you received software.

However, it wasn't about the money but the security risk of downloading software from "nulled" sites. After all, that's why people pay. To get clean, untouched GPL owned by the GPL vendor.

Funny side remark: The seller tried to dodge the PayPal case by offering a refund for a PHYSICAL return (with tracking number) of a digital item.

That tells you everything you need to know about the ethics of this person.

Well, that and the 100% unethical, illegal business practices.

PS: It appears the seller now keeps clicking "wants more info" "review for wrong company" on reviews they don't like (honest reviews.) Know that Trustpilot gives people 3 days to hand over the requested information, in form of links, invoices, etc. It was a coincidence that I still had all of that. I assume many 1-star reviews will be deleted because people can't be bothered or don't have the paperwork anymore.

UPDATE END

AKA pressdiscounter and maxxwp

This scam company pulls the same trick with different names: They do not own licenses for the products they sell.

Instead (and, yes, I have proof of my claim that I also shared with PayPal) they steal plugins from "nulled" sites.

This might put your website in danger. If we wanted to download software from potentially dangerous sites, we could do so without paying someone.

However, this explains why the scammer gets the same complaints, no matter how often they change their name: They cannot update the plugins because they do not own licenses. If the site they stole it from doesn't update the plugin, neither can they.

The scammer calls everyone who asks for updates or refunds "spammer."

The following claims on their websites are false:
- unconditional money-back guarantee (you won't get it unless from PayPal)
- 2 years free updates (yeah, but the plugin I purchased hasn't been updated in 1.5 years)
- they own licenses. No. They don't.

A simple google search will lead you to dozens of similar complaints.
