Horrible company to deal with

Horrible company to deal with. I bought a 100 dollar gift card for my brother for the holiday season, and they charged me 200 dollars, without me knowing initially. I contacted them 8 days later to explore the mistake they made. They told me that this was a common error they have been making during this time, and the extra 100 dollars should have been returned to my account within 3 to 5 days after their error. First of all, who makes this kind of error on a continuous basis and acts like it's an acceptable error to make. Secondly, I told them it's 3 days past their 5 day window of the 100 dollar refund. I told them they needed to refund me the 100 dollars that day, after they suggested I wait a few more days for the refund, or I would file a dispute with the credit card company. They got angry when I said that, but instead of apologizing for THEIR mistakes and THEIR responsibilities, they made some weird threat of them not being able to do business with me. NO PROBLEMO......I will be very happy to take my money elsewhere, and yo tell all of my gun loving friends to also do the same.

This should probably be a 1-star review for USPS. It was shipped via tracking number 9400111105502721355279 and it just took forever to be delivered. 16 days in total. Bad weather perhaps? We apologize for the delay, and hope everything is well now that it has been confirmed as delivered.

Ive ordered from GAG twice. The customer service and selection are the best on the web, and their prices are very competitive.
You can't do better than GAG. I heartily recommend them.

They don't care if they sell you a broken gun

I just received the rifle that I ordered and once I opened the box I found that the rifle was broken or non functioning and the stock had 5 bad spots. I have tried to work with an employee named Chad and his response is that because I did the transfer that they will not correct the issues. So basically their policy is that they can sell you a broke and damage product and do nothing to correct the issue. NO EXCANGE or NO REFUND??????? Unbelievable response !!! For a company to be selling new products and don't care how they are delivered is beyond irresponsible. It was obvious that the box was opened at some point and the packing was damaged. So I have purchased an rifle that was promised to be brand new and as soon as I get the gun I have to send to the manufacture to be repaired, which means another two months with out the gun and not sure what the manufacture will do. GrabAgun response to this is that it is not their problem we gave you a bad gun live with it. Worst company I have purchased from for a long time. Would have given them minus 5 stars if I could. Needless to say I would recommend you purchase your fire arm some place else.
In response to there reply I am a first time buyer and had no idea that by waiting to inspect the rifle when I got home would be an issue. All a transfer does is allows the government to track where the gun is. To find this rule is deep in the weeds on their website it should be sent with the rifle upfront to let the purchaser know what the rule is. This is just a way for them not to take any responsibility for what they sold me. The damaged gun was brought to their attention the very day I brought it home is not like It was a month or weeks later. The big question is what is the correct thing to do when you sell someone a damaged and marked up gun, this gun was definitely not what they promised. This company has done nothing to make this right they are just looking for an excuse to dump a bad gun. Right thing that they should have done would be to take the gun back and replace or refund. All they have done is blame the manufacture and have made me have to deal with the manufacture to try to make this right. This company should be the one talking to the manufacture not the buyer. All I can say is beware of this company because when it comes to doing what is right they will not stand behind what they promise
This company has no idea what the manufacture will do I hope that they will make it right but who in this case should make it right and who should be fighting to make it right the manufacture or the company that sells the rifle with the promise the rifle will be new with nothing wrong with it. then there is the 2 months that I will be without the rifle waiting to find out what the manufacture will do with not promise they will correct all the issue with the rifle. All I read is a company that is unwilling to take any responsibility. What's the difference if I had inspected the rifle at the FFL that has no responsibility to me they did not sell me the gun. Then 2 hours later when I inspected the rifle and found all the issues. Would be so easy for this company to take the gun back and just transfer back to them so the Gov will know who has the gun and do what is right. The transfer has nothing to do with who is responsible and who should correct the issue. THE COMPANY THAT SOLD THE BROKEN RIFLE SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILTY PERIOD !!!!!!!!

All customers have the ability to fully inspect their firearm before taking it home. If ever an issue is found, stop the transfer. We are more than happy to refund or replace - no questions asked. Issues will arises when a customer (as in this case) inspects a firearm in person, finds the outer box damaged, the gun "broken" and the stock with "5 bad spots" and decides to transfer it into their possession and take it home anyways. It is unclear why someone would accept such a product and take it home, but once a firearm is transferred, returns are not allowed. This is not just our rule, but a rule with all gun dealers everywhere. We very much sympathize with the reviewer that they did not educate themselves on the rules, but recommending that people buy elsewhere will not be helpful to others as any buyer anywhere will encounter this same scenario regardless of where they purchase. You simply cannot take a gun home and later seek to return it. This is for fairly obvious reasons, and it extends to every firearm retailer we are aware of. It is universal.

GrabAGun successfully sells and ships tens of thousands of items each and every month. It has maintained an A+ rating with the BBB for over a decade. Buy with confidence. Inspect your firearms before taking them home. Ask questions. And feel confident that should an issue arise after taking a firearm home, firearm manufacturers have very robust warranty programs to take care of post transfer issues. This reviewer will ultimately get their firearm fixed and in perfect order. Is it annoying to deal with? Of course. Could they have avoided it by knowing the rules? Also yes. But in the end, everything will get corrected. No one will be left hanging.

Just picked up my 1st and last gun from…

Just picked up my 1st and last gun from grabagun. The guy I picked up from charges $50-60 for a "transfer fee". What a scam. Same gun at academy sports for the same price. Only reason i purchased from you is because they were 18 minutes closer. Won't happen again. Very deceitful that they don't mention any fees during the purchase process on their site.

I Bought A New Gun, They Sent Me A Used One

I assumed I was purchasing a brand new gun. What I received was so obviously used, it was appalling. They claimed that since the gun had never been registered, it was considered new, but upon the manufacturer studying the photo I sent them, they too concluded, the gun had been used extensively. The conclusion was that the gun had been in their retail store and that "lookers" had racked the thing so many times it took the coating off the barrel. I complained to Grab a Gun and they told me that since I had signed for it at my FFL, there was nothing they could do about it and that I should complain to the manufacturer. Needless to say, buyer beware of these people.

The reply from these guys is a joke. How are you supposed to inspect the gun if the FFL requires you to accept it first. And I don’t care how many they sell, mine was used. Note they did not address the most salient point.

If there was provision here to show the photo of what you claim was new, I would. The point is, even Ruger agreed the gun was used. They are sending replacement parts. Thankfully one company in this transaction is honest and it isn’t yours. You guys should be ashamed of your business practices. Selling used items as new is fraudulent at best, unworthy of being American worst.

I love the fact these people use legalize to defend themselves when the proof is in a photograph, not conjecture on anyone’s part. They can use any language they want, including word salad a la Kamala Harris when the truth is, they sold a used firearm as new. If anyone wants to see the photo I’m not sure how to get it on here, but I’d be glad to share it.

Check the photo on my X page if you want undeniable proof.

Also, rather than an attempt to make things right, they prefer to fight with a customer. What does that tell you? Big company with no integrity, no soul and no Americanism. Congratulations.

Don’t believe me? Check out my X feed. Pictures are truly worth a thousand words.

GrabAGun successfully sells and ships tens of thousands of brand new firearms and accessories each month. If ever a firearm is received that does not meet standards (for whatever reason), just let us know and we will immediately replace or refund - no questions asked. All FFL’s allow for firearms to be inspected (i.e. to verify the actual serial number matches the transfer paperwork, it's condition, and to generally confirm they are receiving the correct firearm). This customer inspected their firearm, moved forward with the transfer, took it home, and eventually contacted us to claim it looked used. Posting a picture days after it left the store is not evidence. That is like taking a picture of a new car you wrecked on the drive home and claiming the picture of the wreck proves the dealer sold you a wrecked car. There is no major firearm retailer we are aware of that openly accepts returns on transferred firearms. This is why you carefully inspect them and speak up if there is an issue before you take it home.

Bottom line - This customer was sent a brand new firearm. It was logged into our gunbook from an authorized Ruger distributor mere days prior to being shipped out. There was ample opportunity for customer inspection and to reject the condition of an "obviously used firearm". Rejection did not occur though - acceptance did. Comments like “Ruger said this” and “we concluded that lookers racked the firearm” and "I have a picture (taken after the fact)" is hearsay, conjecture and all categorically false.

WARNING!!!!

WARNING!!!!! This is a scam bait and switch website. When you get to the check out it will say estimated total NOT the actual total. This is to trick you into thinking that the total you see is what you’re going to pay but it’s just an (estimated) total which will increase greatly! They don’t even show you a break down of what you’re paying for, taxes, shipping etc. this is done on purpose. Additionally, when you put in your address it will ask to choose an updated address which will have your correct zip in the front but the wrong zip in the back, for example, 3568-99999. No post office can deliver to a zip like that. You have been WARNED.

I have ordered three pistols from GAG…

I have ordered three pistols from GAG on 2 separate occasions. My first order had problems with the FFL, had to wait to get that resolved but we finally got that straightened out. (Not GAG fault) Second order shipped to FFL with no problems. Products was as described and prices were good for todays market. I gave 4 stars because it takes several days before the order ships and there isn’t enough communication after order is placed. But I will definitely buy from here again.

Hi James. We typically email customers several times with notifications regarding orders that require FFLs. You may want to check your spam folder as we have confirmed our automated process appears to be functioning as designed. Perhaps it was a one off anomaly of some sort. The positive news would be that your FFL should now be in our system and able to be selected at checkout with out anything else needing to be done for an order to ship. Sorry for the issue, and we hope to see you again in the future.

There is service and then there's GAG service

They usually have the best price on just about anything I need, but their customer service makes the few dollars difference on other items worth using GAG. When I get the pleasure of picking up a firearm in person, they are friendly, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. Depending on how active the pickup counter is, it can be 15 - 20 minutes, last pickup was a hair over 5 minutes. I had the luxury of an empty pickup counter and everything was handy and the LTC made it seamless.
