Fast responses

Helpful and friendly service

The team made viewing and moving in so quick and easy, which is what I needed. Deanne made sure to answer every question (and I had many.) she was really attentive and helpful. Everyone I’ve dealt with, for that matter has been friendly, professional and very helpful. Thanks guys!

Extremely easy and straight forward…

Extremely easy and straight forward process for moving into my first rental!
Maisie was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and made the process a lot simpler for myself, she was also extremely friendly and made sure she told me all details about the apartment and the surrounding area! Overall really happy with my experience of moving into my first rental property

A positive, stress-free experience

We've had the most positive experience so far with Grainger!

Naseem has been incredibly helpful in guiding us through the process of starting our tenancy at Tilt Works. She has answered all our questions quickly and gone above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. Viewing the flat was unlike any viewing we've had before - she took time to guide us round many different options and asked questions about what we were looking for. It's often a stressful experience looking for new tenancies, but this has been completely stress-free, and I feel like we are in safe hands.

Can't recommend enough so far!

Great Experience

We have lived in a Grainger property for just under 4 years and haven't had any problems. Louise Spooner looked after us from start to finish and nothing was too big an ask.
We decided to move elsewhere and ultimately meant that we've had to change letting agent/property managers but Grainger themselves weren't part of the reason we chose to leave, it was just time to move on.
Thank you for everything over the last few years 💕

So far the best experience of room viewing and renting

I must notify Naseem who helped me from the initial room viewing to the final settle-in. This is so far the best room tour and renting experience I have had in the UK.

Initially, Naseem listed detailed questions (maybe around 20) to find out whether I met the requirements to rent and move in, which made me feel this is a professional landlord company, and the people living here are carefully filtered. Then, she gave me multiple viewing spots to fit my schedule and notified me once more to make sure I would not miss the viewing.

During the viewing, she first listed the potential rooms that I may choose, and, instead of guiding me to only one of them, she gave me the chance to visit all of them, along with detailed explanations and notifying the differences between each. All the time, she only showed patience and professionalism. After that, she also gave me advice about which one was the best for me, of which, from my perspective.

Further, she also helped me beyond her job. During the tenancy referencing period, my application was handed over to someone else who handled it extremely slowly (it was still under processing when there were only two days left to move in). Naseem again, helped me prompt that person and pushed the progress, even though no one paid her extra money for this. This is rare to see.

I must say, because of Naseem, this is a good experience. And now, I moved into the Tilt Works, and I really love this place, which is new and professional, just like what Naseem had shown to me via her working attitude.

Horrible at communicating and looking after tenants

They commissioned works on one of their buildings we were tenants at, constantly misinforming us about the timings and the consequences of the works. We didn't have a proper heads up and found ourselves surrounded by builders building scaffolding at our garden. Horrible at communicating and understanding the tenants needs and concerns. When our contract renewal was due they raised the rent regardless of the year of noise and lack of privacy that we went through.

Disgraceful

Undertook works on our entire block of 30+ flats, entirely surrounded by scaffolding for the better part of a year to replace windows that no one requested.

The noise has been entirely intrusive, workmen yelling, playing music and looking directly into windows, making working from home entirely impossible.

The scaffolding occupied my entire terrace, equal to at least 30% of the square footage of my tenancy.

The works were 100% longer than initially stated, updates were infrequent and usually after the fact.

Grainger expressed no consideration for the impact of the works on tenants, refused any form of compensation and in fact raised rents by as much as 20% upon renewal during the period.

One of the most unscrupulous landlords…

One of the most unscrupulous landlords operating in the United Kingdom.

Over a period of nearly 9 months, they've undertaken major building work to our block which has caused an unbelievable amount of disruption to the block's tenants.

The contractors turned up unannounced almost everyday; and their working shoddy working practices caused flooding throughout the building and multiple properties within the building.

During this period, Grainger hiked rents up by hundreds of pounds, clearly taking advantage of a rental market in which they know that they can replace unhappy tenants at the drop of a hat.

Any reasonable landlord would either offer rent reductions or at the very least rent freezes.

It's clear that the "Customer First" marketing slogans on their website are little more than platitudes compared to their profit-driven-at-all-costs operating model.

The property manager is completely uninterested in providing any compensation nor apology - instead preferring to provide perfunctory "computer says no" statements.

Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely excellent 21st Century service

Absolutely excellent service for my viewing in Sheffield at Tilt Works.

- It was mostly online and through WhatsApp, which worked perfectly for my busy schedule

- The video tour of the apartments were accurate to what existed in person

- Naseem gave me a fantastic personalised viewing. She was polite, friendly, and wasn't pushy. She sealed the deal for me!

- The process after agreeing to rent was also incredibly smooth. Grainger is delivering a service for the 21st Century, while so many other agents are in the stone age.

Not worthy

Upon having made an enquiry about a property to rent in Croydon I have received a call from a gentleman . He went through the standard questionnaire and asked me how many people would be renting the property. I prontly said myself and my daughter. He unbelievable without any questions presumed that my daughter was a child . And probably though i could not afford to rent the property in question.
Well Grainger my daughter is 35 years old . We both full time employed with a joint income of £100k per year.
Not really impressed with the person in question from this agency
