Last night’s Toronto event on Nov 30

Last night’s Toronto event on Nov. 30th was incredibly disappointing. While the venue itself was large enough to accommodate the thousands of well-dressed attendees, the experience was a disaster from start to finish. The VIP entrance had a painfully long wait, and the hour-long line for drinks was unbearable. After two hours, we decided to leave without even reaching the front of the bar. The promoters completely took advantage of people’s time and money, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Went to the Gatsby Party Toronto on Nov…

Went to the Gatsby Party Toronto on Nov 30. Was expecting so much more. The people that paid to get in were the best part and only thing I would give a 5 star review for. The venue was also nice at Liberty Grand but the company and organizers of The Great Gatsby Party promised a lot and delivered nothing.

I thought well maybe that's just the toronto show but as I read the reviews now I see that the same complaints we have is what other people had as well in other cities.

Music was bad and almost all 1920s which is nice but not 6 hours worth. The most contemporary song I heard was back street boys. Lol

The VIP room was just another room with pastries and caviour that ran out in 30 minutes. And most only had one mouth sized bite if they were lucky.

To get a drink at the bar was at least 45 minutes. Bar tenders were reading instructions and sometimes registeres did not work or the server was not sure how to work it.

The shows were all late or disorganized. But not worth watching anyway. Many of the guests were better dancers and performers than the people on stage.

Also it was almost impossible to see the stage as there was many people standing in front and thank God I did not buy a table as those were in the back. Someone told me as well that they had a table and had to wait 90 minutes for their drinks. Seems they had one server for 30 tables.

In short the organizers put lipstick on a pig. No effort to actually provide a good show or good service. Just a money grab. And for the price I could have gone to any club in toronto and had a better time.

1 star at best. Don't waste your money.

Ps I don't normally give bad reviews. And there are times where venues try and provide top notch experience and something goes wrong which I understand but it really felt like these people did not care.

It does not worth it

We bought 8 VIP tickets (total $2k) on Saturday 7th October, dressed really well in 1920s style. We were inspired by the Great Gatsby movie of course and just wanted to have fun, drinks, and dance that day.
1. I guess the company sold TOO MANY VIP tickets, so the value of it was lost. When we arrived, the VIP line was longer than the general admission tickets line. Enter inside after 30min. NO promised caviar samples, no snacks nothing that was supposed to make a value for VIP ticket holders.
2. VIP ticket provides you access to the up-level room with a "fake" casino (play flayers not money). The room was too small and crowded. Live music was fine yes but nothing more. Just a crowded room. So what we paid for???
3. Inside the event building you can see another line of people who want to take nice 1920s pics at a fake pyramid of champagne and 2 animators on the red carpet. Really guys? this 1 small spot with a forever line - you provide as "an amazing opportunity" to take a selfie? The entire event the line was there. People were desperate at least to get a nice pic because the party sucks.
4. Music. It is a party!!! It was supposed to have
great music and a great DJ to make a 1920s-themed party dance! You played Rhianna, Sweet Dreams, etc. good songs, but not related to the theme!!!! BORING BORING and no relation to 1920s hits
5. The show was bad, your girls who dance like striptease go go - is not fun. There are so many New York places with the same dancers. People expected something extraordinary for that money from your show. I am happy that we did not buy a table !!!! omg my friends asked me not to buy a table, maybe the event is gonna be bad. They were right! The table is expensive and you could not see anything from there, just sit in the perimeter of the room.
6. Even the bartenders were bad, I guess you paid them a minimum wage so they did nothing about a good drink or service.

You guys just make money from the loud name of Gatsby.

So in general, I don't recommend this party at all. We were so disappointed about this event. It was so pity to see people, who really made a great 1920s outfit and came there for nothing!

Before I got tickets, I tried to find any reviews about this party, and I did not find any! So I feel a responsibility to write it here, now other people who like the 1920s theme will not be so disappointed or will not go there.
