I had a terrible experience with GotRentalCars.com.
I booked a rental car for May 12 in Santiago, Chile. I prepaid the full amount using my debit card. However, when I arrived to pick up the car, I was told that I couldn't get it because I didn’t have a credit card.
At no point during the booking process did the website clearly mention that a credit card was mandatory to collect the vehicle. This was only revealed after they had already charged my card.
I contacted customer service, but I received no real help or solution. As of today, I still haven’t received a refund for a car I never got.
This company is **not transparent**, and in my experience, they do **not act in good faith**. I strongly advise avoiding them — you risk losing both your money and your time.
