Just browsing recipes but an order is automatically generated.

I was just browsing on their site to decide if I was inerested. In order to view meal options and pricing I had to set up an account and choose a delivery date, add payment info etc. I hadn't even looked at recipes at this point. Once the account was set up i was able to view recipes but 3 had automatically been added on my behalf. I didn't want to order so i kept trying to delete the options the system had added. Every time I emptied my basket others were added and the message on my screen was 'you can change your order until 21'
So I realised that once you set up an account, you've literally placed an order..that THEY have chosen. Yes I can change the recipes but there was no option to cancel. It was ridiculous. I managed to cancel the account but the order was still active. In other words they were still able to take my money and send an order on a future date that I didnt want and was trying to cancel.
I persisted and was able to chat online wirh a customer service member and eventually got it cancelled.

It really is a very underhand and deceptive way to get custom. I would avoid.

Life simplifier

Definitely a great brand with good customer service and a variety of recipes. I love that it helps me save time deciding what to eat, travelling to the shops, and avoiding crowded stores.

My main issue if the fact that I can't just pause my subscription. I must constantly skip deliveries and can also skip up to 4 weeks ahead of time. Forgetting to go back a check is a real risk...

The keto food is only set out for 2…

The keto food is only set out for 2 people, I have to cook the whole ingredients for 1 person , then waste half of the sauces , nuts , etc

Most annoying company ever

Recipe boxes were delicious but lacked enough protein so I always had to add more tofu etc making it expensive. For this reason i unsubscribed but the company have not left me alone, constant emails, leaflets, phone calls. I have repeatedly asked for them to remove my details from their system but the pestering continues.

Keto meals

We’ve been ordering Green Chef’s keto meals every week and have been really happy with the service. The meals are tasty, filling, and genuinely keto-friendly, with good variety from week to week. The convenience of pre-portioned ingredients saves us time, and the ingredients have consistently arrived fresh. Overall, Green Chef has made keto meal planning much easier, and we’d definitely recommend it.

the variety is good

the variety is good, always nice to have a choice and alot of healthy options. Sometimes veg doesn't last long or it can be small ie spring onion or pepper.

I have bought a box for 2 people for 4…

I have bought a box for 2 people for 4 days, for the past 4 weeks the meals are quick and easy and tastes great, my only issue is the fresh meat in the meals for 2 weeks in row I’ve had to throw the chicken and the pork this week as it is seriously going off. The dates are only lasting to my fourth day. This is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars

Absolutely disgusting customer service.

Absolutely disgusting customer service.

I signed up to Green Chef and paid for my first box, but after looking through the meal options I decided to cancel because there was nothing I wanted. When I contacted Green Chef to request a refund, they claimed I hadn’t paid for anything, even though the payment had been taken.

I have now had to leave the matter with PayPal and my bank to resolve, which should not be necessary for something so straightforward.

Very disappointing experience and extremely poor customer service. Be warned.

Don’t bother to ask me to contact your customer service team to sort. I tried twice and got no where.

Just read other people’s reviews. There is a common pattern with this company.

Great meals when they arrive, but inconsistent service

The meal kits themselves are generally good quality, and when everything arrives as expected the recipes are easy to follow and the meals taste great.
Unfortunately, we've experienced a few issues with deliveries over time. On several occasions boxes have either arrived late or not turned up as expected, and we've also had instances where recipe cards have been missing from the delivery. While these issues can usually be worked around using the app or website, it's frustrating when you're relying on the service for meal planning during the week.
Overall, it's a good service with decent food and recipe options, but the reliability of deliveries and occasional missing items prevents me from rating it any higher.

Almost perfect!

I've used 2 other recipie box companies in the past and like all of them for the convenience and variety of recipies they offer but I prefer green chef as their recipies include more vegetables. The only thing I don't like about their kits is some ingredients are ultra processed foods. (This may just be me being fussy as this is something I've researched a lot and try to avoid but equally is getting more reported on in the press). It would be helpful if they could either add a no upf category to their preference list and/or rethink ingredients ie coconut milk (upf) can be swapped for coconut blocks.
