GreenThumb Lawn Treatment Service Reviews 

My half-acre lawn has come a long way in the 8 years that GreenThumb have been looking after it; all the moss has gone as have the huge cracks in the [clay] soil and the bare patches that would appear in spring and summer. We have a lot of wildlife (birds, foxes and badgers) and we back on to a dairy farm so the occasional weed seed does manage to get through but is easily spotted and dispatched or, if I'm feeling lazy, dealt with at the next GreenThumb treatment. A huge thanks to Howard Baker at the Canterbury branch for his efforts over the years - always reliable, professional and friendly. He probably has no idea just how much we appreciate the transformation of our garden.

Dan G came and reseeded/treated our lawn this week and did a great job! Super friendly, very professional explained everything he was doing and what I need to do in the coming weeks. A real credit to Green Thumb!

Darren and Lionel visited us today, to treat a lawn in a bad state after a wet winter. They explained everything they were going to do and why it was needed. They were quick, polite and friendly. We have used their services in the past, so were are looking forward with confidence to a big improvement.

Our lawn were in a terrible condition: more moss than grass and bare patches.

Gary and Shane (from the Aldershot Branch) de-mossed,scarified , aerated, extensively re-topped with fresh earth and re-seeded.

Job took about 5 hours in boiling weather.

About 4 weeks have passed. The new grass having sprouted, lawns now look lush, green and near-perfect

Very reliable company. They come to treat our lawn when they say they will. Managing a change of appointment is easy. The operator Jamie from Canterbury branch, is most pleasant and charming. He lets us know when he arrives and when he leaves. Always prompt and polite...a pleasure to have him.

The Chepstow branch gave my 2 small lawns a treatment in Januaryq and then I didn't see them again until June, by which time my lawn was full of weeds. I pay by direct debit around £130 a month on a contract so not cheap. The June treatment has not resolved the weed issue so I tried to contact them to share my concerns about their poor service. They did not respond so I have now cancelled my direct debit. Using another company now - considerably cheaper and much more effective.

Luke was most helpfull and polite, explaining what treatements he was putting on the lawns.

Had a completely new lawn done, faultless from start to finish and it looks amazing, Paul and the lads at the Burntwood branch have done both me and themselves proud, I can’t recommend them highly enough, communication spot on throughout too

Like Kelly was very polite, efficient and spoke with knowledge regarding the condition of our lawn.

Lawn treatment good but difficult to get InTouch to speak to a person, not like it was before

Appointment reminder issued, but this was no longer convenient therefore emailed to cancel, as advised. No response received and appointment reminders issued based on the original date. Called, spoke to someone and agreed to reschedule seemingly without issue. Further reminders received based on the original date in error.

On the day of the original appointment, surprised by someone in my garden from Green Thumb part way through a treatment, so sent away. Later in the day voicemail received stating someone else from Green Thumb would be be on site again in the afternoon, despite the instruction for no treatments until a later date.

No ownership of appointments, no communication between staff and charges now to be dealt with.

Steve Shaw the GreenThumb operative was clear in his explanation of what the plan treatment was He worked steadfastly despite it being 30+ degree C.
Most of the tools he used were electric and,with exception to the edging, the end result was very good - in any case having done it myself I hadn’t expected him to do 100m+ of edging by hand.

Andy from Torbay came to do our lawn treatment. He was such a lovely chap and very knowledgeable and he listened to our concerns regarding areas that needed improving. He there and then sorted it out for us and also gave us tips regarding maintaining a healthy lawn for all areas in our garden. I only occasionally leave reviews but due to Andy being super I’m leaving this one because he was such a top chap. A1 service!
