My apologies for the delayed response to this review, Gold Solutions Plating has only recently joined TrustPilot, I appreciate that your review is now a year old.
I understand that it can be frustrating for customers if they cannot order goods because a business doesn’t ship to Northern Ireland. In terms of our business, we did continue to ship to Northern Ireland post-Brexit and made it an absolute priority to ensure that our customers in NI were not affected.
In all of the time since Brexit, we suspended shipping to NI once for a brief period of around 6 months from December 2024-May 2025 to allow us time to navigate and ensure we were fully compliant with the new GPSR requirements and were fully ready for the implementation of the Windsor Framework processes. As a small business this did take a few months for us to be fully ready for the changes.
At the time that we restricted shipments to NI, we contacted all of our regular customers and explained the situation in full. If any orders were placed before we had integrated the restriction on our website, we gave a full refund straight away and explained the situation to the customer via email.
Additionally, we advised anyone making a new enquiry of the temporary restriction and asked if they would like to be contacted as soon as we were ready to resume shipping. We followed up with this and personally contacted all customers that had expressed they would like to be updated. I would hope that this demonstrates that we absolutely do care about all of our customers and worked to get the situation resolved as quickly as we feasibly could.
So, in summary, we did continue to ship to NI post Brexit, our 6-month restriction was from Dec 2024-May 2025 due to recent regulatory changes that we needed time to navigate. We resumed shipping to Northern Ireland as usual in May 2025 as and continue to do so.
