If I could give them ZERO stars

If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. They were horrible to work with, they quoted me a price and almost trippled it before drop off. They told me if I didn't pay, They wouldn't deliver my items. It still took them more than a week to deliver my things. So much of my things were missing but funny how it was expensive things that disappeared. I have been trying to find a solution so my things can be replaced or found, but they just tell me they will look in their warehouse for my items. I didn't know they took everything out and loaded them into another truck. Makes no sense to me. I trusted that thr things that were loaded up would simply be taken to its destination. Not moved to another location first. I have emailed this company and they have never once responded. I will be filing a police report and I'm speaking with a lawyer to see what I can do. It's been months and I still can't get them to help me find or replace anything. Don't use them!

What you see is NOT what you get. Beware!

I spoke with Dylan initially and was assured and reassured that there would be NO additional charges than what he charged us unless there was more to our shipment than what I had told him. I asked repeatedly about additional costs and charges
from the shipper and was again, reasssured.
Everyone I spoke with was so friendly and helpful and reassuring. We were shipping a washer and dryer, a small cabinet and 14 book boxes from Western Colorado to Houston, TX. I paid a third down and when the shippers got here they had to pickup the boxes from our home and the washer/dryer from storage. They charged me 70% of the remaining balance before they went to storage. They also had me sign their paperwork altho' it was still blank. He said he was going to fill in the rest once he saw if any additional costs would be incurred (adjustment in size). NO mention until we got out to storage that crates would have to be built for the boxes, the cabinet and the W/D BUT he was cutting us a deal (at a 50% reduced rate) of $700. He also told us that the furniture was being loaded onto a semi (after they picked up other shipments in Yuma, AZ, Las Vegas and somewhere in CA) then shipped to Houston.
I didn't have the additional $700 so I told the shippers to leave our stuff (denying their service.)
They were quite happy about that and left. They left and never gave me my copy of the signed blank paperwork that was going to be completed at storage.
I called Guaranteed Van Lines first thing this morning (Monday) as they were closed yesterday and all they could say was I should've read the contract. And whatever "guarantee" Dylan gave me about a 100% refund right up to the move was incorrect. So I am out $1400 that I had to scramble to get in the first place.
What's funny is another moving company called me with quotes and warned me about Guaranteed being a broker and not a shipper and that additional charges from the shipper would not be surprising.
This was the straw that broke the camel's back. The week had been horrible to begin with (losing my sister-in-law then having to put our furbaby to sleep) and this just topped it off. I found myself breaking down in tears on the phone to Guaranteed this morning and had to end the call. I am beyond frustrated.

Do not use! Worst company ever!

I had the absolute worst experience with Guaranteed Van Lines. When we initially booked, we were promised that our belongings would arrive within 2-3 days. Instead, it took almost three weeks to get our delivery! Communication was terrible, and no one bothered to inform us that they hand off the job to multiple third-party companies. What we discussed and agreed upon with Guaranteed Van Lines was not at all what we received.

When our belongings finally arrived, they were damaged and filthy. It was clear that they didn’t care about the condition of our things. Throughout the process, the drivers and customer service were rude, unhelpful, and impossible to get a hold of. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. They treat their customers horribly and should not be in business. Avoid them at all costs!

Do not go with this company they will…

Do not go with this company they will rip you off. We paid the deposit, movers came and said that we had to pay 3000 then for them to load our things, we didn't have that right then, went to make a call and drivers took off, they just up and left. So that's no service from them. Now they are refusing to give our deposit back, when Dillon said we would get it. We paid half up front.

Raised the price and wouldn’t give me my belongings

Raised the price when they arrived even after taking inventory day before. Took forever to get my stuff and when I finally got it, I was missing boxes. I do NOT recommend. They use we relocate you as a third party and the worst company ever!!! Never answered the phone.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. The sales person will do anything to give you a low ball quote and increase the cost later. Initially I quoted for 10 boxes and wanted to quote again for 20 boxes. I was lied to that number of boxes won't make a difference to the price but until 4 days before the pickup date in the quality assurance call, they told me that's not the case and I need to pay more. You can only cancel 5 days before the pickup date which is before the quality assurance call so everything is designed to scam you with a bait and switch tactic.

All reviews are from this year and all the 5 star reviews are fake with no pictures which suggests this is a new company created this year to scam people.

This company is unethical untrustworthy…

This company is unethical untrustworthy dishonest and immoral. They do not attempt to make sure the information THEY HAVE is correct then charge you for thier mistakes. My move was scheduled due to a family emergency. I explained during the first call I had with Brandon what I needed moved he claimed it was all correct and my move was all set. My list included 25 boxes 15 medium and 10 small a small dresser large dresser 1 double bed frame 3 tvs a couch love seat recliner electric fire place and my dinning room table with 6 chairs. I explained due to my family emergency I was down sizing rapidily. My quote was for 2200.00 I paid 1300 up front to hold the truck. I spoke with Brandon on 6/15 on 6/17 Mick called to verify my move and go over one more time my list of things. I started to go over the list again and Mick told me that I was changing the original list. All I had was 57 boxes to move and this "new list " would cost 6700 to move. I never once said I had 57 of anything!!! Long story short I then canceled there services. MIck told me it was canceled. 3 times. The next day a new lady called again attempting to get my list verified. I explained what happened with the last call and stated it was canceled yesterday by Mick. She then stated no one can cancel orders except her as she is the supervisor, she then canceled my order and sent me an email that my deposit would get returned but thier 15% fee would be taken. Then a new email came in an hour later saying I'd canceled to late and they are keeping my money. Thier policy states you have 72 hours to cancel my order went in on Saturday June 15th at 10 am it was canceled Monday June 17th at 1pm that is well within thier "72" hour limit. So not only are they unethical they can not even follow the policy they set for themselves!! Absurd they are still in business. Thieves not movers. Thier name should represent what they truly are. GUARENTEED THIEVES .

Absolute nightmare and scam.

Used Guaranteed Van lines to broker a move for my mom. Bottom line up front; they run a scam operation called “load hostage” with their arsenal of moving companies. Ours was Lucrative. Do not use this company! Pay a little more up front and hire a reputable company because in the end this will cost you a lot more and your items will not be taken care of. Here are some of the details.

They will provide a good quote with “white glove” service. However, the cubic feet will purposely be bid/scheduled lower. A fly by night moving company will show up (mine in a Uhaul with zero packing materials). This company will have you sign their bill of lading and not fill in the charges nor cubic footage of your items. Then they will fraudulently charge you for packing materials, or over sized items or long distance carry. Once your items are in the truck and you have signed their ppwk, your items and pocket book are in trouble.

Guaranteed van lines was contacted multiple times about the movers and the multiple items of the contract not being honored along with the fraudulent charges. Quote from their operations manager, C Cox, “did you sign their bill of lading? Then it’s out of my hands.” Of course you have to sign a bill of lading. Where else is there a record of your items.

So now the company you hired to broker your move and to act as your agent on your behalf will not honor their contract. And you’re solo against the moving company that has your items. The moving company will take full advantage of this and charge or attempt to charge you more money at every step.

Example. Moving company did their own cuft estimate and said we were almost double the estimate load size. Simply not the case. We have pics of the truck after it was loaded. Moving company charged $200 for packing materials. Blankets and packing that were supposed to be part of the white glove service and for boxes/shrink wrap that was ours. Here’s the kicker…moving company called at 5:55 pm saying the load would be delivered first thing in the morning. And per their contract final payment must be in cash/bank check. So the banks are closed and will not be open before the movers show up. So you ask to pay by another method. Phone line says, “this call is being recorded. Are you refusing the delivery? If so we will reschedule and you will have storage and re-delivery fees.” Then our items were destroyed. Holes in a china cabinet. Boxes missing. Other people’s boxes delivered to us. Driver would not open the truck until my sister paid and signed the delivery forms.

It was just a nightmare. And guaranteed van lines will do nothing to honor their contract or assist with the moving company.

Lastly, they will send you 5 star reviews. But a quick search off their website shows that most of their reviews came from the same IP address. Ie…fake. Please do not fall into this trap like we did.

If I could give this company zero stars…

If I could give this company zero stars I would. I booked them to do my move and due to circumstances I needed to cancel. I attempted to call within 24 hours and their phone line said someone was on the phone and to call back. I sent an email and was contacted the next day. I attempted to cancel and they informed me due to paying with a credit card they will not refund my very large deposit. They did not inform me of this information prior to giving them my credit card. I asked to be sure and Ray in customer service said I have 5 days prior to my move to cancel or change. They also stated they do not record their phone calls and that it was my word against his. I would never recommend using a company that withholds crucial information. They have yet to make it right.
