Well organized and guides were well informed

We did an 8 day plan with Guide to Iceland travelling the whole Ring Road and staying at a different hotel each night. The itinerary supplied was spot on with clear guidance and instructions for the whole trip. Car Hire, Hotels, Experiences etc all went without any hitches. Would highly recommend Guide to Iceland to anyone. We had an amazing holiday and if we go back, which we 100% will, we will definitely use Guide to Iceland again.

The trip exceeded expectations. We were able to see numerous waterfalls, a lava cave tour, the ferry across to the Westfjords was a perfect day of 'rest' and traveling at the same time. The hostels for the most part were all clean and well laid out. Every breakfast that was provided was fresh and delicious. We chose to hike a lot (many miles each day) however, we knew there were options to join tours if we wanted to. It was a perfect mix of secluded hikes and coming back to a small town each night for a different adventure.

Avoid recommending hotels that are far from downtown. Got trouble at Oddsson hotel with the door

Pro: all was booked , all the places for the nights were great. Places of interest were well identified/marked. 24/7 assistance was working when required sometimes.

Con: Getting the car was hectic and time consuming at 1 am (45 min waiting for a contact, then cannot find our booking).
14 days too short/quick, would have liked an option to extend by 2-3 days in a couple of places.
Mileage between places of interest underestimated (had to correct with google map) meaning more time required to travel.

We were very satisfied with the results of our trip. The planning was smooth and communication was wonderful. Agents dealt with all of my questions efficiently. We had no problems throughout the 14 day trip.

Iceland is an amazing trip and your suggestions of places to see were wonderful. We had a few snafu’s but some of them seem to be due to our booking so far ahead of time that the event places had changed things and only one of our accommodations area did we have a hard time getting into but we were able to contact you guys and it was taken care of quickly.

The routes were inaccurate, the hotels bookings were not what was promised and no changes were allowed even 7 days in advanced,

Got the the best photographic sites that I expected and got great photographic advice to get the best images!

Excellent and reponsive communication with Guide to Iceland staff

Everything was taken care of in terms of the car, the hotels, and especially the mobile wifi that was critical for navigating during driving. I would do another trip!

I loved the entire trip, only did not like one hotel as it was not at pictured but we only slept there so whatever

Instructions were simple and easy to follow. We were able to explore the places we wanted to, and the excursions were great. Contact an agent for information was simple and immediate.
Our hotels were as listed. Clean and friendly staff everywhere we stayed.
Car rental- could have been more clear that a shuttle would be taking us from the airport to the car rental, specifically that someone would have a sign for the rental company waiting in the airport atrium.
-Car rental was fine- warning to let people know to expect extra charge for car insurance. Pay for roadside assistance as we ended up with a flat tire. Tires on rental car were bare- little to no tread. Otherwise was very happy with Guide to Iceland and would highly recommend to anyone.

Guide to Iceland has a lot of trips to choose from, make planning very easy. They were very responsive to all my questions and were supportive while we were in Iceland. It was nice to know we had a contact point while in iceland

Our one-week self-drive tour of Iceland's west and south coasts and golden circle through Guide to Iceland in late May 2026 was amazing. The rental SUV was perfect for the highways and backroads. The check-in and check-out process of the rental car, hotels and tours were seamlessly arranged by Guide to Iceland. The two hotels in Reykjavik were multi-story and modern, while the other hotels were more like country inns on farms with sheep, horses and dogs. We chose the lowest rate hotels that had a private bathroom so they weren't 5-star but all were much better than I expected, and included a full Icelandic breakfast. Perhaps the best part of using Guide to Iceland for this trip was the in-car wifi and app that provided detailed verbal and onscreen maps and directions for our planned route including top attractions, our scheduled tours and hotels. Iceland does not have signs and billboards every 100 yards like the US, thank goodness, but some of the sights would be hard to find without the maps. Each day was planned to include main attractions along the route with plenty of extra time to explore spontaneously, and there are a lot of things to see. Keep your eyes open. One of the most beautiful and accessible glaciers we saw was not on the schedule. We just saw some cars parked off the road and people walking down a path and followed them. Guide to Iceland sends a downloadable/printable description of the main sights, which shouldn't be missed, but the beauty of the self drive is that you can decide what to see and do, and for how long. The local people are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Although the cloudy/rainy weather did not always cooperate with our trip, every day revealed a new landscape, a new experience. And with the help of Guide to Iceland it was pretty easy for a first-timer, and at a very reasonable price.

Great trips!!! Some of the transportation was clear but the activities were incredible!!!!
