Play like the Greats with Ease
I started using this course and all its accompanying material a little over a month ago (including the 90 day challenge). I have made vast steps in my relatively short time.
Within the last month I've learned Travis Picking and to a well defined level - I'm at the stage now where I can learn any song that has it featured. This was a major hurdle that I struggled with before joining this course. I've also learned chord extensions and alternate voicings for these.
I could go on for paragraphs with the material I've learned, but the most important thing I learned was the mindset, holding yourself accountable - the accompanying 90 day group has honestly allowed me to become comfortable with my playing, focus on the things I need to learn (and commit a dedicated time everyday to working towards this).
The course itself is easy to navigate and reminds you were you left off, the videos encompass all the elements of playing this wonderful genre and each section is broken into sub-sections which really allows you to learn at your own pace.
My first talk with Colin I mentioned that I have experience playing guitar but Rockabilly was a genre I couldn't wrap my head around, well I can safely say it's an area now that I no longer struggle playing songs in but have also began composing my own, all thanks to Colin's guidance and course.
He approaches topics that can be difficult by building upon what you know, it's a very comfortable atmosphere and from what I can see from the rest of the group is all the progress everyone is making.
I look forward to seeing everyone posts.
I can't thank Colin enough for his patience. He is a very kind man and always makes time for his students. I look forward to working with Colin long into the future
