Simply the best

I,ll quote Tine Turner: Simply the best.
Introduced the hotel to my girlfriend, who became just at impressed as me over the all over brilliant standard.
The room was magnificent.
The service the same.
And the breakfast is - I don’t know how they do it - it better than second to none.
What a variation of possibilities of eating healhthy, organic and antiinflamatoric.
This time for to nights in my hotelhome away from Home.
Cann’t wait to go back.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Due to go on holiday to Copenhagen Monday was called for life saving heart surgery Friday, hadn’t been able to source holiday insurance due to just finding all this out and hotel are being totally unsympathetic and heartless and won’t refund us or allow us to carry over the dates, so unable to work whilst recovering so the refund would have really helped, have reached out to the owners on social media also but it appears Sandra and Marc don’t care either, shocking!!!

Not a good experience or good value for money

For a rate of 16,000 kr, the experience at this hotel was disappointing. Key concerns include:

1. Additional Costs
- Coffee is not complimentary.
- Breakfast is charged at 275 kr per person per day, which seems excessive given the actual value of the food.
- There is no coffee provided in the room.
- No refrigerator is available in the room.
- There is no air conditioning.
- Sauna access requires an additional fee of £40.

2. Room Quality
- The room was small.
- It was very noisy, with sounds from adjacent rooms and ongoing construction work outside, making it impractical to keep windows open overnight.

3. Service Issues
- The staff at the reception desk, particularly one woman, exhibited unprofessional behavior by addressing only my husband, despite me speaking directly in Norwegian. This was both unprofessional and unwelcoming.
- The overall service lacked warmth and attentiveness, falling short of the standards we expect from other hotels in Oslo and the UK.

4. Work Environment
- The cafe area is closed for extended cleaning periods after breakfast, with cleaning equipment left around. Additionally, staff conversations about personal matters are loud and disruptive, making it an unsuitable environment for work or meetings.

In summary, the overall experience was underwhelming. The lack of customer-focused service and the high cost do not justify a return visit. I recommend considering alternative accommodations where customer service is a priority.

Very nice hotel and nice staff

Very nice hotel and nice staff. Really welcoming. Also the massage options are great.

But what surprised me the most was the attention of the staff to accommodate guests and how clean it was outside the hotel.

When I come to Copenhagen I feel the city has areas where is dirty. But in front of Manon Les Suites it was always kept clean, even if they have repairs.

Manon Les Suites - Guldsmeden Hotels

the hotel was fantastic, beautiful and welcoming. the pool area was so beautiful and the service was good. the bed in the room was beautiful and inviting and the bed linen was of high quality. the bed, on the other hand, was rock hard! my husband and I both had back pain the next day, and had been restless at night, due to the incredibly poor comfort. too bad it really overshadows all the good things about the hotel otherwise.

Corrupt

Corrupt, plotting and covertly anti Semitic houseman at Hotel Axel. Corrupt and unprofessional leader/manager at the housekeeping department. New workers are poorly trained. Scared housekeepers and lack of cleaning standards during housekeeping. Untreated Fungus at bathrooms. Not recommended work place for housekeepers.

Kicked out a girl with a concussion and refused to help in any way.

If I could, I would give you 0 stars for your lack of hospitality.

My sister had an unfortunate experience at your hotel yesterday. She came in to use the bathroom as she was feeling dizzy and ill. While staying in your bathroom she felt unwell and faints. While fainting, she hits her forehead on the sink, leaving a huge bump. Now, this part is obviously not your fault. What is a disgrace is the behavior of your receptionist/your employee afterwards.

When my sister came into consciousness, she called for help as she was alone, but no one could hear her. She manages to get up on her feet – still dizzy and somewhat confused - and she asks a male staff member to call a doctor or an ambulance. The staff member is mumbling something and walks away. My sister decides to sit down in the sofa in your lobby with the intention to lie down until the ambulance arrives.
This is when the staff member asks her to leave the premises because she is not a paying customer and therefore not allowed to use the sofa. She tells him that she is feeling unwell and asks politely for a sip of water, which is declined. After being kicked out of your hotel she, luckily, meets a nice lady, who can see that she is not well. The lady asks the staff member when the ambulance will arrive, and the staff member had NOT called an ambulance or any kind of help. Instead, the nice lady calls an ambulance and they drive my sister to the hospital where she was hospitalized for the next 7 hours due to a head concussion.

The fact that your staff declined to help an ill, young woman is unbelievable. I really hope that no one gets sick or unwell inside or outside your hotel. Maybe they can get help if they are a paying customer, but if not – they should not count on help from this hotel.
