Guruwalk is a portal for independent tour guides to promote their services. I have had only one bad experience in a dozen walking tours I have been on spread over 8 countries. Invariably the guides are professional, very well informed, engaging and entertaining. The love and enthusiasm for their subjects shines through and the deliveries are usually interspersed with humour making the tours feel quite short. They are an excellent way to introduce the visitor to the history and culture of the destination. Where possible as soon as I arrive in a new city I go on a Guruwalk to orientate myself and pick up on the local vibe. Terrific. Don't miss 'em!

The Best Introduction to any city.
We have participated in quite a few Guru walks around the world now. Guides are usually excellent at their job. Most times listening devices are not needed which makes the tour much more personable. We have recommended Guru walks to all of our friends who travel extensively and many are now booking them.

Very good but can improve little bit
I booked this walking tour in New Delhi and ended up being the only participant, which turned it into a private experience. Stanley confirmed the meeting point, time, and my attendance twice beforehand, which gave me a lot of confidence that everything would run smoothly—and it did.
Stanley Joseph is an excellent guide. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently, is very friendly, and always willing to adapt the pace or itinerary if needed. The tour is well organized, but still flexible enough to spend more time in places that interest you most.
One of the highlights was that he also took me to try some fantastic local food and drinks in very specific spots around the city, which really added to the experience.
The only improvement I would suggest is to include a visit to India Gate and possibly a Hindu temple as part of the itinerary.
Overall, a very enjoyable and well-managed tour with a knowledgeable and approachable guide.

We had an amazing walking tour in Athens. Alex was very friendly and knowledgable in Athen’s history; he was quite entertaining. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you be walking on uneven and slippery surfaces. There are many steep and narrow stairways to tackle. I recommend this walking tour if you love to learn the history of Athens and enjoy exploring by foot.

Guru Tours … Never disappointing
We had many guru tours and every tour guide is knowledgable and knows their city very well. We never have been disappointed so far. The groups have been small and all questions are answered. In the short time you get always the essential information you need to know. Very good. Our best experiences! The tour guides know…satisfaction is king…so they always are motivated to educate us. Guru walk is my first choice of great tours!
