Monica and I have been working with Tyler for a little over two months now, and we can’t thank him enough for his guidance, expertise, and everything he has done to help us grow!!
Every other Thursday, he takes the time to meet with us, answer our questions, encourage us, and help us work through in studio challenges. He never makes us feel rushed and always makes sure we leave our calls with a plan and a positive mindset.

Since working with Tyler, we’ve seen so much growth, not only in ourselves as managers but also in our studio. Our marketing is improving, we’ve become more confident thinking outside the box with sales, and we’ve learned how to approach challenges differently because of his coaching.

The results have been great so far, and we’re excited to see what the rest of the year brings. In June, we had the second most new members out of all the SPENGA studios, which was a huge accomplishment for our team. We also had the lowest attrition our studio has seen since opening six years ago. Monica and I have been managing the Sugar Land location for the past year, and it’s been great to see the progress we’ve made. Reaching goals that had never been hit before, like gaining a net of 10 members and earning a bonus!!

At the time of purchase, I was led to believe that the services being offered would include hands-on business coaching, guidance, support, and strategic resources specifically designed to help grow and operate my fitness business. However, upon receiving access to the program, I quickly discovered that the offering primarily consisted of prerecorded content, training materials, and learning documents that did not align with the services that had been represented to me during the sales process.
After gaining access to the platform and reviewing the introductory materials, I immediately realized that the program was not what I had been led to expect. During my onboarding call, I was presented with a list of assignments and "homework" to complete rather than the personalized coaching and support that had been described before I made my purchase. Since my franchise already provides similar training resources, this was not the service I believed I was purchasing.
As soon as I recognized this discrepancy, I logged out of the platform and did not return. No services were utilized by me, and no services were delivered to me. I did not participate in any coaching sessions, receive any one-on-one consulting, attend any substantive training, receive any customized business assistance, or obtain any measurable benefit from the program. My involvement ended after my initial review of the onboarding materials and assigned tasks.
The day after my purchase, I contacted Gym Academy to explain that the program was not what had been represented to me and that I wished to request a refund. During this conversation, one of their sales representatives told me, "Don't bother reaching out to billing because no one ever gets refunds." This statement suggested that refund requests are routinely denied regardless of the circumstances and discouraged any meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. No money has been refunded to me to date.

I came into Gym Academy in distress, in the red, and literally 3 weeks away from closing my studio doors. What I found was an unmatched community of support, accountability, and real-world business knowledge that completely changed the direction of my business.
The guidance wasn’t just motivational, it was actionable. From sales systems and client retention to marketing and operational structure, I finally had a roadmap instead of trying to figure everything out alone. Within just 2 months, I broke even and started rebuilding my confidence as a business owner.
I can safely say joining Gym Academy was one of the best decisions I’ve made to date. My only regret is not having their guidance, knowledge, and proven processes when I first opened 7 months earlier. It would have saved me a lot of sleepless nights, costly mistakes, and unnecessary stress.
If you’re a gym owner struggling to grow, overwhelmed, or feeling like you’re carrying the weight of the business alone, I can honestly say this community has the potential to change everything.

He eased my transition into the academy, also when I had financial difficulties, he helped me find the best solution so that I may start the academy right away. Once I entered the academy, I found that it was easy to use, easy to follow training videos that helped me get set up for the advertising. To my surprise the Gym Academy isn’t just about advertising. When I met Mike Costanzo I couldn’t believe the wealth of knowledge and depth that he possesses. PS Don’t let the name Gym Academy stop you if you run a martial arts studio. They haven’t had any difficulties with giving clear directions, advice, and the system they provide easily adjusts for your needs.

Gym academy has helped me dial in my sales process a lot. I’ve learned so much about the sales process, what to say on calls to learn about people and approach things from a service perspective to be able to help people attain their goals vs just sell a product. The coaches truly care and work for GA because it helped them and their gyms. They are great at teaching you how to sell too! So many tools, calls, being able to hear what other people do, role playing. Helping with organic marketing, technical problems with technology. It’s all in here. Great program!

Gym Academy not only provides systems that work and keep up with the times, they also have coaches who genuinely care about your growth and a gym owner and person in general. Being an entrepreneur(or gympreneur) can be a scary and lonely pursuit, and this community really makes you feel like part of a family. They are both available if you have questions AND reach out to you to find out the questions you don’t even know to ask. Very grateful to have found this community and I recommend it to anyone looking to grow in the gym industry!

Gym Academy has been great. I’ve used several other business coaches over the years and I’ve learned a lot but these guys are especially good at training coaches on how to sell. This is a very important skill for all coaches to have because no matter how many leads you get if you don’t know how to sell them your business will not thrive.

I literally cannot run my gym without Gym academy. The tremendous amount of support and guidance and knowledge that is poured into me weekly even daily is phenomenal. I’m only 30 days in, but already seeing amazing growth. Our studio was flat for almost 6 months, then came GA. Within the first 30 days, we not only signed 10 amazing new clients, we also saw a large increase in attendance thanks to awareness from ads. Overall, a great experience so far. I look forward to seeing how far we’ll go as partners, hopefully this is just the beginning,
