I bought the Mark pants about two years…

I bought the Mark pants about two years ago and although I like the style, there’s a few things to note. Firstly, the quality for the price - the quality is not very good especially considering the price being $90. The front fly of the pants that I received is crooked and the fabric seems to shed little sequin bits everywhere I go. Also it is worth knowing that they are see through which is definitely a style and you can kind of see from the photos on the website, however, the sequin fabric that is used is also very scratchy so for this - and coming from someone that is a fashion designer - I would have liked there to have been a lining in the pants (the scratchy fabric makes them uncomfortable to sit in too). The last thing I will say is that yes they say they are long on the website and it’s my bad for not checking exactly how long, but they are really, extremely long. I’m 5’5 which is considered fairly average and they were even too long to wear with heels, so that’s definitely something to consider if you’re shorter. Because of all of this I did want to return the pants but it would have cost me another $80 in the end to return them, so I make them work especially because they are still a cool piece I just can’t wear them very often.

30% of cost extra charged COD when received!!!

Hand Over order shipped one month after ordering and then charged 30% COD when they indicated free shipping for the cost of our purchase. They refused to refund me and I never received the clothing since my child who answered the door didn't have $65 to pay in COD fees.

Orderd Black Friday for Christmas presents and dint arrive for Christmas still did not arrive for New Year
They are advertising stuff on their website that they don’t even have in stock
They are constantly putting out social media ads to order in time for Christmas and New Year
But don’t have the stock

if you live in the US do NOT order from…

if you live in the US do NOT order from handover! they make you pay shipping and when the product is delivered you have to pay HUGE shipping fees to DHL to clamin your product. my daughter had to pay 75$ in order to receive the delivery. UNACCEPTABLE it's just sequins i'm sure we can find that somewhere else!!!!!!!

Cute designs but extremely poor quality

The designs are cute, but the garment quality is extremely poor. After just one wear, it began falling apart. The construction doesn’t allow for normal movement, with missing stitches, low-quality materials, and what appears to be a manufacturing defect, on both pieces I received. It’s not worth the price.

Bad quality and extort money out of you after returning

I ordered from Handover and when my items arrived they were very cheap quality. The skirt wasn't sewn properly and had a hole in it and the shorts looked extremely cheap, for the price, it's not what I expected.

I requested a return and rather than waiting for me to send the items back to refund my money they refunded me immediately. I sent my items back but later than expected and their legal team contacted me on multiple occasions to ask me send the items back which I had already done and then sent a bill with an additional £30 on top to transfer. Honestly, terrible service. DO NOT BOTHER ORDERING FROM HERE.

Unexpected cost, bad customer service

DO NOT GO TO HANDOVER POP UP STORE IN LONDON. I recently ordered from their website multiple sizes to try on after seeing that there was ‘free global shipping’ over £200. I originally thought the store was English but it turns out they are based in Madrid, this didn’t matter to me after seeing that the shipping was free and I went ahead to buy items. I thought I was doing something nice buying from a smaller brand, however I got hit with a huge £150 (roughly) import tax! I was then told that there was nothing they could do, I could return the items however I was scared I would get another hidden fee when shipping back to them. So now I am stuck with multiple sizes of the same overpriced items. When I spotted the pop up was open in London I asked if I could return the items to them there seen as they were still in original packaging and still being sold full price online.. again there was ‘nothing they could do’ not even an exchange because the shop is separate. A very greedy little brand, not helpful or kind.

US buyers - beware of tariffs!

Warning for US buyers as Trump has made tariffs so confusing for all of us to navigate.

As of September 2025, the tariff charges (which won't be calculated or shown at checkout) are really high - for me it was $97 on a $317 (total, after shipping etc) order, and you won't know the amount until the shipper charges you before releasing the package to you.

I contacted handover support about if I could refuse the package & let it get sent back, and have them send it to my hotel in the EU instead since I'll be in Europe in a couple weeks (the trip I bought the items for)

They responded:

Unfortunately, the UK (sic* US) is one of the countries where orders may be subject to customs charges, as explained in our shipping and customs policy.

Please be aware that if the fees are not settled soon, the parcel may be marked as abandoned by the shipping company, and unfortunately, once that happens, we will no longer have the option to recover or return it.

To try to resolve the issue, we recommend contacting the shipping company directly to see if they can offer any alternative.

We're truly sorry we can’t do more from our side. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us — we’re here to help

I totally understand it is hard for small businesses to navigate the tariff situation as well, so I'm not surprised they couldn't do more about this. My suggestion for US buyers is to expect that an additional 30% be added to any order you may make, and decide for yourself before ordering if that is still worth it to you! And also write and/or call your local representative about how tariffs are a huge issue.
